Previously on The Hive Mind...

Chrysalis wakes up next to her Hive, but she discovers that it is already controlled by someone else. The Trap Level attracts her, and she finds the Mane 6. She helps them out, and makes an offer. "You help me take control of this hive, and I promise not to attack Equestria ever again." Twilight acted strange by accepting the offer without debates or anything. They escape the Hive and reach Equestria to find that all life was sucked out of it. Not a single pony. They head to Canterlot, and something strange happens...

Chapter 2

An Unexpected Guest

The group arrives to Canterlot.

"I remember this place from the wedding..." said Chrysalis.

"It's a very good place." said Twilight Sparkle in a laughing tone.

"Why that laughter?" asked Chrysalis.

The Mane 6 start transforming back into changelings. Chrysalis didn't notice that yet.

"I still can't believe no one is here." said Chrysalis.

"Soon it will be more than truth." said the changeling that was disguised as Twilight.

"Wait... your voice changed!" said Chrysalis, and immediately after turned around. "I should have known!"

"Hahahaha..." said the group of changelings, all at once.

"You didn't think about Twilight not knowing that you were in a coma? Or why did she accept your offer so easily?" said the changeling, previously disguised as Twilight. "We are now under control of the Hive Mind, and the Hive Mind wishes to DESTROY EVERYTHING!"

**Wait... if they serve the Hive Mind, and they are far away from their Hive...** quickly, but correctly thought Chrysalis. **That means the Hive Mind's influence is weak here, and if I cast my own influence spell... I can regain control of my first 6 changelings!**

"Why are you smiling?" asked the Twilight changeling.

Chrysalis's horn began to glow, and she shot a bolt at the changeling group.

"So, who is your queen?" asked Chrysalis.

"You are, Chrysalis." answered the group of changelings.

"From zero to six, what a large jump!" jokingly and sarcastically said Chrysalis.

"Zero... one..." said the changelings.

"No, don't count!" harshly interrupted Chrysalis.

"Where are the real creatures kept?" asked Chrysalis.

"Inside the Hive Mind's control... in it's stomach. But they do not die, it's only a prison." answered the Twilight changeling, who seemed the most talkative and smart.

"So there is still chance?" asked Chrysalis.

"Yes." answered the smart changeling.

"If only we had more queens..." said Chrysalis. "We must get moving before the Hive Mind grows stronger."

"Another great idea, queen!" said the smart changeling.

"I think I'll actually make you my royal guardian..." said Chrysalis. "If you survive, of course. Oh, and I just thought of a plan. If you manage to distract all the workers from their Hive, I can try and defeat the Hive Mind in a face to face battle."

"We will do whatever it is required to bring you control of the Hive." said the group of changelings, in a servant voice, under full control of Chrysalis.

Chrysalis and the changelings began moving back to The Everfree Forest. They once again used the train rails as direction from Canterlot, and they walked the empty streets of Ponyville, without even a spark of life. Fluttershy's cottage was empty. Not even chickens from the chicken coop were there. All other animals are missing as well.

"Did the Hive Mind cause all this?" asked the smart changeling.

"Probably." quickly said Chrysalis, as if she was in a hurry. Though, it is alright to be in a hurry, the life of this planet is at stake.

As they entered The Everfree Forest, it was dark. No light beams could reach the ground, and Chrysalis knew, that it will soon turn worse as they will reach The Dark Mountains. No birds sang at all, brushes weren't rustling from the quick animals that inhabited the place. Time stopped here. But, as Chrysalis knew, when the group entered The Dark Mountains, the time wasn't stopped there, and that is unfortunate. The lightning bolts kept hitting the ground as if they were raindrops. Scary, creepy, spooky screams and roars of the strange creatures which inhabited this place were heard... almost as the previous time, except much, much more dangerous and intense. Chrysalis pushed the Hive opening log, and let the changelings in. As planned, they distracted the Hive changelings, which began chasing them around The Dark Mountains. Chrysalis entered the Hive. It grew since the last encounter... it grows each day. Chrysalis slid on the organic material, which was very slippery, and reached the ramp. After the jump, she spread her wings and started flying to the Throne Room. She was a queen, and her wings weren't trained much, so it was a hard flight, but she did it. She saw a giant blob made of various skins, connected to the walls and the roof using the same material. A huge brain was sticking out of it's 'head'.

"You are... the Hive Mind?" asked Chrysalis.

"Correct." answered the Hive Mind.

"So I have my knowledge thanks to you?" asked Chrysalis with a confused tone.

"Yes, all thanks to me. Hahahahaha." answered the Hive Mind with a not-caring tone.

"Then you will fall! You bring chaos to this land! Don't you understand? Soon you will have nothing to feast on, you already wiped out almost EVERYTHING!" said Chrysalis with an angered tone.

"Oh, oh, oh, look at our Chrysalis trying to play hero. I RAISED YOU! I GAVE YOU ALL THE KNOWLEDGE YOU WOULD EVER WANT! AND YOU REPAY ME WITH THIS?!" answered the Hive Mind with an even more angered tone.

"Look at yourself! You are an abomination, you are not a changeling!" said Chrysalis.

"HOW DARE YOU CALL ME AN ABOMINATION?! THIS IS IT! YOU WILL BE DESTROYED!" said the Hive Mind with a completely angered tone.

"I came to destroy you, and I will do it!" said Chrysalis calmly, preparing for battle.

The Hive Mind grown more organic tentacles and swung them at Chrysalis. Chrysalis created illusions of herself, and all of them start flying and attacking the Hive Mind by creating a ray from their horns. The Hive Mind is confused, and starts swinging it's tentacles at all the illusions. Chrysalis gets hit and falls down on the ground.

"See? I told you that you will never be able to defeat me!" said the Hive Mind, getting ready for a finishing strike with a tentacle.

"I'm... ugh... not down yet!" said Chrysalis as her horn started glowing. Just as the Hive Mind starts swinging, Chrysalis teleports up, next to the Hive Mind's brain. She starts hitting it with the ray.

The Hive Mind is wounded, and his skin becomes transparent. Chrysalis sees all the ponies and other creatures inside it. Twilight notices Chrysalis.

"Chrysalis? Why are you fighting him?" asked Twilight.

"He is not a friend of mine." answered Chrysalis, while keeping up the ray pressure on the Hive Mind's brain. "I promised fake you that if I regain the Hive, I will never attack Equestria again."

"I see." said Twilight.

"Can you all like, push him from the inside? Deal more damage?" asked Chrysalis.

"We will try." answered Twilight, and started pushing with other ponies.

"Can you keep him from regenerating while I do something outside?" asked Chrysalis once again.

"Sure!" answered Twilight, and started punching the Hive Mind with big force.

Chrysalis flew out of the Hive in the direction of her changelings. Once she reached them, she cast the influence spell and regained control of all the worker changelings.

"That's about 65% done now." said Chrysalis, and began heading back to the Hive with millions of changelings.

As Chrysalis and the changelings reached the Hive, the changelings began to punch the Hive Mind in the stomach, while Chrysalis kept the pressure on it's brain using the ray so that it's skin weakens. After a few minutes of punching, the stomach leaks and various creatures run out of it.

"Ugh... why...? I gave you all knowledge... and you kill me? Is that justice nowadays...?" said the Hive Mind.

"You were consuming EVERYTHING! Is that justice nowadays?" said Chrysalis.

"I only tried to help... my Hive..." said the Hive Mind.

"I kept everything under control, and you come out and ruin everything! Great helping!" said Chrysalis.

"You will never understand..." said the Hive Mind and died.

"Thanks to you for helping me regain the Hive! I wouldn't have done this without you." said Chrysalis after turning around at the ponies.

"We couldn't have broke out without you. Thanks to you." said Twilight.

Suddenly, Chrysalis faints.

**Huh? Where am I?** said Chrysalis in her vision.

**You are in the spirit world.** answered a strange changeling.

**Wait... you are the Arch Queen!** said Chrysalis with amazement.

**Yes. And you have done that I couldn't have ever done.** said the Arch Queen. **You defeated the Hive Mind. The changelings are now free. You have changed. You are the first white changeling in the history of our people.**

**What's so special about me becoming a white changeling?** asked Chrysalis.

**You will no longer need to feed on love, in opposite, bringing love powers you.** explained the Arch Queen. **You should not stay long here. I will send you back.**

**But, wa-** Chrysalis couldn't finish her sentence.

**I must go.** said the Arch Queen.

Chrysalis awakened in the real world now.

"Ugh... my head..." said Chrysalis.

"You're white!" said Twilight Sparkle.

"Yes, I know. Now bringing love powers me... or so the Arch Queen told me." said Chrysalis.

"That's... amazing!" said Twilight Sparkle.

"I don't really like the love bringing stuff, though. If I want my Hive to live, I guess I will have to love it." said Chrysalis.

And so, the story ends as the various creatures that were captured by the Hive Mind return to their homes. But much greater evil will soon awaken.
