Equestrian Warriors

Gumdramon was walking up to the front gate of Ponyville Park. He lifted up a piece of paper that just said 'Park 7:00 PM, IT'LL BE FUN!!!' with a drawing of a smiling Pinkie Pie. He looked up at the gate and then back at the paper.

"Hmm, I wonder what this is all about." He said before putting the paper away and walking into the park. As he entered the park, he noticed a large stage and several tables with different items spread around the center area. Has he got closer, giggles could be heard coming from some bushes and even the clouds. "Hello? Is anyone here?" Gumdramon called out as he got to center of the park.

"SURPRISE!!!" Several yelled as they popped out of there hiding spots. Several lampposts and stage lights turned on, revealing all the decorations, snack tables, and a table covered in presents.

"W-What's all this?" Gumdramon asked the large crowd of ponies in utter shock.

"It's a welcome to and thank you for saving Ponyville party!" Pinkie explained, popping out of thin air in front of Gumdramon. She blew a party blower and it exploded into confetti. Once the confetti was gone, so was she.

"A-A party... for me?" Gumdramon asked, scratching the back of his head.

"What's wrong?" Twilight asked, wearing a purple party hat.

"Well, it's just that... no one has ever threw me a party before. At least, I think that's the case." Gumdramon explained, looking away from her.

"Now why in the world would somepony not want to throw somepony as great as you a simple party?" Rarity asked, wearing a purple party hat with white gems on it.

"Uh, never mind, it's not important. What is important is hanging out with all my friends and rocking out all night!" Gumdramon exclaimed, throwing two fists in the air. "Hit it!" He yelled as he pointed towards the stage.

A white pony with a blue mane, headphones, and purple sunglasses nodded, pushing a button. Suddenly, pop music started blaring from the speakers and a laser light show started shining through the sky. Several ponies cheered and began dancing, others were either eating from the snack tables or just talking. Gumdramon extended a hand towards Twilight, causing her to blush. She placed her hoof on his hand and he pulled her onto the dance floor. Before Gumdramon started dancing, he saw Twilight with a huge smile as she kicked her hooves several times in the air.

"Looks like we still have to teach you how to do solo dancing." He said, shaking his head. Watching her 'dance' gave him a huge smile and he began dancing in a similar manner.

"Ooo, they have cocoa nuts!" Twilight said in excitement, running off to the snack table.

"Later Twi!" Gumdramon said, waving goodbye.

"Uh, Gumdramon?" A familiar, raspy voice asked. He turned around to see Rainbow Dash. "You wanna dance?" She asked, blushing a little.

"Sure." Gumdramon said, extending a hand.

"But if you make this awkward or bring up the date, I'll snap you like a twig!" She said, flying up to his face.

"Okay, okay!" Gumdramon exclaimed, raising two hands to try and calm her down. She landed on the ground and began dancing in a rough, but controlled way as a more rock like song played. Gumdramon started to do the same by pretending to play the guitar.

"Heh, you dork." Rainbow said under her breathe, still blushing a little.

"Woo, what a work out! I think I'm all danced out, later!" Rainbow said before flying off towards a group of ponies.

"Howdy, Gumdramon!" Applejack said, walking up in front of him.

"Oh, hey Applejack! What's up?"

"Well, I just asked the DJ ta play my song next and I was wonderin' if you wanted ta square dance?" She asked. "Frankly I'm kinda embarrassed since I never squared danced with pony who wasn't a family member. So, what do ya say?"

"I'd say we better get all these little doggies moving before the cows come home!" Gumdramon exclaimed in a bad country accent.

Applejack laughed a little. "Well, what are we waitin' for?" She asked, grabbing Gumdramon's hands and they began to dance to the country music.

"Woo, I think I just work myself up an appetite! Hope there's still some of Granny's fritters left!" Applejack said to herself as she let go of Gumdramon and walked over to the snack tables.

"Well, Gumdramon, what's all this about? You've given almost everypony here a dance, but me. I don't believe that's fair." She said, smiling at him.

"May I have this dance, my lady?" He asked, bowing down and lightly kissing her hoof.

"Oh my, you most certainly may." Rarity said, waving herself with a hoof. She and Gumdramon began to dance in a much more elegant manner with orchestra-like music.

"My, you are quite the dancer. You simply must teach me some of those lovely moves of yours. I'm feeling a bit parch though. Our dance will have to end today, perhaps another time." She said before walking towards the snack tables and waving goodbye to Gumdramon.

"OOO, MY TURN!!!" Pinkie shouted, grabbing Gumdramon and pulling him towards the middle of the dance floor as a more energetic song started playing.

Spike was dancing on the dance floor. He stopped as he felt a hoof tap his shoulder. He quickly turned around and saw Sweetie Belle standing there, blushing a little.

"H-Hi, Spike!" She blurted out, but quickly bit her lip. "What was that?! Play it cool, Sweetie!" She thought to herself. "Uh, I-I was wondering i-if y-you wanted to dance?" She asked him with a nervous smile.

"Oh, uh, s-sure!" He replied, smiling back at her while blushing as much as her.

They began dancing to the energetic song, it was awkward at first, but they soon started laughing with each other and having fun. Spike began to dance a lot faster as the song sped up. The song kept getting faster and so did Spike. Before he knew it, he jumped into the air when the base.

"Blazing Uppercut!" He shouted, his hand was engulfed in a green flame, only to be shot in the air a few seconds later. Once he landed back on the ground, he looked at his hands, panicking. He looked around, but no one has seemed to notice what he just did, not even Sweetie Belle. "S-Sorry Sweetie, but I have to talk to Gumdramon!" He said before running away.

"S-Spike?" She called out, standing in the center of dancing ponies. A tear started to form in her eye, but she quickly wiped it away. "No, he didn't ditch you! That's not something he'd do. He just needed to talked to Gumdramon, that's all." She said to herself, nodding in agreement.

Gumdramon was spinning around for a few seconds before falling down. He sat back up, scratching rubbing his head.

"Gumdramon!" Spike yelled as he ran up to him.

"Oh, please don't tell me you wanna dance to?"

"What? No! Can we talked somewhere else?" Spike asked him, leaning in and placing a hand on the side of his mouth.

"Alright." Gumdramon said before getting up. Gumdramon and Spike walked away from the dance floor and towards an area away from anyone else. "Alright, what's up?"

"Well, while I was dancing, I jumped into the air, shouted 'Blazing Uppercut', and shot out a green flame from my fist." He explained, peaking Gumdramon's interest.

"Oh, I was afraid of this." Gumdramon said, slapping his forehead. "Well Spike, what happened is that when I used the D-Drive to turn you into a half Digimon, I thought you would've turned back. You did, but not in the right way."

"What do you mean by that?"

"Well, instead of turning back to normal, your body transformed your data into your DNA. So now it seems that you can freely change from a dragon to a Digimon by transforming your DNA into data, vice versa."

"So, I'm a Digimon now?" He asked, rubbing his stomach.

"Well, not right now. You're normal now, but it seems that any extreme emotion can cause you to transform at anytime. Unfortunately, I can't do anything to turn you back to normal, but I can teach you to control your powers."

"You mean like super hero training?!" Spike asked, his eyes sparkling in excitement.

"Yeah, just like that. We can probably do it an hour or two a day, maybe do it after school on weekdays." Gumdramon thought out loud, stroking his chin.

"Anything you want to do is fine by me! I can't believe I actually have super powers!" Spike squealed in excitement.

"How about we keep this between the two of us, at least until after the party. Deal?" Gumdramon asked, extending a hand.

"Deal!" Spike replied, shaking Gumdramon's hand enthusiastically.

"Now come on! I think they're gonna have me open my presents soon!" Gumdramon said as the two rushed back to the party.
