Equestrian Warriors

Twilight walked on the stage and stopped once she got to the DJ pony.

"Um, do you think you would play this song before the party ends?" Twilight whispered to her as she levitated a purple tape. She receiving a nod shortly after. "Thanks!" Twilight said, placing the tape in her hoof before flying away.

"Hey DJ, ya think you could play this for me?" Rainbow asked, flying down next to her and holding out a blue tape. She nodded, using her magic to take the tape. "Cool, thanks!" Rainbow said before dashing away.

"Ooo, me too! Play this one too!" Pinkie cheered, popping out of nowhere and holding a pink tape. The DJ pony nervously smiled before taking the tape. Pinkie smiled back before diving off the stage.

The DJ levitated all three tapes in front of her, looking at them. She rubbed her chin with a hoof before brightening up. She levitated a pair of scissors and started cutting up the tapes. After a few seconds, all that was left was a poorly put together pink, purple, and blue tape levitating in front of her. All she did was nod at it before placing it into the boom box.

"So, this actually happened?" Gumdramon asked Fluttershy as they walked back to the party.

"I guess it did. What exactly do we do? I mean, I just don't know how to go forward with this." Fluttershy said, messing with her mane.

"Maybe we should just take it slow for now, who knows? Maybe well get better at this once we figure it out together."

"Yeah, you're right." Fluttershy agreed, nuzzling Gumdramon's cheek, causing them both to blush. "I-It's not a kiss, but it's the only thing I think I'm comfortable doing right now." She said, nervously smiling.

"Heh, fine with me." Gumdramon said, nervously laughing.

After a few more minutes of walking, they ended up back at the party. Once they entered the area, several of their friends ran up to them.

"Oh, thank goodness you're alright, Fluttershy!" Rarity said, hugging her friend. "When I saw you singing, I knew you'd run away. I'm just so glad you're back."

"Well, you should thank Gumdramon for that part." Fluttershy said, turning Rarity's attention towards Gumdramon.

"Oh, of course. Gumdramon, darling, you are such the gentlecolt. A can't thank you enough for helping Fluttershy." Rarity said, hugging him.

"It was no problem at all." Gumdramon said, rubbing the back of his head.

"Huh, what's this?" Rarity said, moving her head away from Gumdramon's chest. She used a hoof to lift up the silver locket. "Oh my, this is gorgeous!" Rarity said, gawking over it.

"Oh, that's just a the gift Fluttershy gave me." Gumdramon quickly said, grabbing the locket away from her.

"Really? I never thought you were they type to wear jewelry." Rainbow said, laughing a little.

"It is quite the necklace I gotta admit." Apple Jack said, looking at it in Gumdramon's hand.

"Where ever did you find something so lovely, darling?" Rarity asked, turning her attention towards Fluttershy again.

"Oh, it's actually something I used to wear back in high school."

"Really? And you gave it to Gumdramon?"

"Yeah, why?"

"Oh, it's nothing. I was simply wondering."

"Well, I guess it's because I cared about it so much back then. So, I thought that giving it to Gumdramon would show how much I cared about him and everything he's done." As Fluttershy said those words, Gumdramon began to smile and blush a little more.

Suddenly several ponies began to scream as loud, mechanical sounds could be heard on the stage. Gumdramon and the others quickly ran in front of the stage, seeing a boom box slowly transform into a robot. One of the robot's claws grabbed the DJ's sunglasses and placed them on it's supposed face.

The robot quickly turned towards Gumdramon and began to charge up. It's speakers began to glow green, but they quickly blew a fuse. The robot started to spaz out, it's appendages began moving around in janky fashion. Suddenly, Spike jumped on stage and ran towards the robot.

"Blazing Uppercut!" He shouted as a green flame engulfed his fist. Once he made contact with the robot's body, there was a small explosion as the robot flew off into the distance. Spike turned around towards the crowd of ponies, smiling. Twilight and the others were jaw dropped, except for Gumdramon.

Gumdramon's spikes stood up, hearing a strange noise. He turned around to see a red ball of energy flying at Spike. Gumdramon quickly turned around and jumped on stage, grabbing Spike. Before he could get out of the way, the red energy ball was only a few feet away from them. Gumdramon and Spike closed their eyes, embracing for impact. The entire stage blew up, causing everyone to run away except for the mane six and the CMC. Twilight was about to run into the fog of smoke, but stopped once all the smoke blew away, as if a strong wind kicked in. As the smoke cleared, everyone looked, seeing a single figure standing on the large pile of rubble.

"Gumdramon?" Fluttershy said, walking closer to the familiar figure.

"Spike?" Sweetie said, walking closer as well.

"Huh?" The fusion said, looking at itself. "Whoa, are we, am I... this is awesome!" He jumped for joy, raising both fist in the air. "We became one, how is that possible? Wait, I know why! We're a fusion! I know everything they know! And yet, I feel like someone new." He said, looking his hands. "Well, If we er, I'm a fusion of Spike and Gumdramon, I think I'll call myself... Spikedra!" He shouted, stroking a heroic pose.

"Gumdra- uh, Spikedra, look out!" Twilight shouted.

Spikedra looked in the distance, seeing another red energy ball flying at him. He smiled before jumping up into the air. "Flame Kick!" He shouted, sticking one of his legs out. As he fell, the foot was engulfed in a green flame. Once his attack came in contact with the massive energy ball, it exploded. As the smoked cleared, Spikedra stood in the crater, unharmed. "Now this is more like it!"

"Wait, who the hay is that?" Applejack shouted, pointing at a nearby hill. On top of the hill was a familiar figure to Spikedra.

"No, it can't be." Spikedra said under his breathe.

"Heh, who am I?" The strange looking Veemon said with confidence as music began to play in the background.

"Forget this!" Rainbow said, charging at him. Once the bass in the song dropped, the Veemon swiped his arm, blasting her with a beam of red energy, slamming her into the ground.

"Rainbow!" Everyone yelled, getting angry at the figure. Several of the ponies charged at him.

"I'm the tallest of mountains, I am the roughest of waves! I'm the toughest of terrors, I am the darkest of days! I'm the last one that's standing, don't try to stand in my way, cause I've been up against better, just take a look at my face!" He took down Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity with one fell swoop. Twilight, however, was still flying in the air, blasting at him with his magic.

"Cause if you're messing with me, I am a dangerous weapon! I am the sharpest of blades; I'll cut you down in a second! Cause I was born in this pain, it only hurts if you let it, so if you think you can take me, then you should go and forget it!" He and Twilight started teleporting behind each other, blasting at each other. Before Twilight could shoot another blast, the Veemon teleported above her, slamming her into the ground. The Veemon began to walked away, but stopped once he saw Spikedra standing in front of him.

"And after all this time, you're back for more!" Spikedra shouted in rage.

"I won't stop until they know my name!" The Veemon sang, giving Spikedra a menacing smile.

"So I'll take what's mine and start this war!" Spikedra prepared for an attack.

"I'm coming at you like a tidal wave!" Before he knew it, Spikedra was jabbed in the stomach, causing Spike to flew out of him. Gumdramon looked up in shock. "When everything you know has come and gone, (You are at your lowest, I am rising higher!) Only scars remain of who I was! (What I find in the ashes, you lose in the fire!) When there's no one left to carry on, (This is an illusion, open up your eyes and...) this pain (persists), I can't (resist), but that's what it takes to be infinite!"

Suddenly, the Veemon started furiously attacking Gumdramon, causing him to fly off several times, only to have the Veemon teleport and start attacking him again and again. They were in the air, Gumdramon was still being viciously attack, until the Veemon slammed him towards the ground. Everything was moving in slow motion for Gumdramon as he fell. He looked around, seeing all of his friends, except for the CMC, being encased in red balls of energy.

"So look around you and tell me what you really see! I never end and that's the difference in you and me! Cause when your time is up and everything is falling down, It's only me and you - who is gonna save you now?" Once again, the Veemon teleported above Gumdramon, slamming down even harder. "So look around you and tell me what you really see! You live a lie and that's the difference in you and me! I have the power, let me show you what it's all about! It's only me and you - who is gonna save you now?"

His hand was engulfed in red energy before punching Gumdramon in the chest, finally causing him to make contact with the ground. Gumdramon laid in a crater, unable to move. His eyelids became heavy and all he could see was the Veemon standing above him, his right eye glowing with the red energy.

"Who is gonna save you now?"
