Applejack and Gumdramon were walking down a dirt path, shinning their flashlights at the trees and bushes.

"Man, I never knew Sweet Apple Acres could get so dark at night." Gumdramon said, squinting.

"Yeah, all these shadows from the trees make it really hard ta see anythang." Applejack said, looking behind herself. "Luckily for you, I've been out here so much that I can actually see in the dark!" Applejack proudly stated, still looking behind herself.

"Really, that's pretty co-" Gumdramon was interrupted by Applejack bumping into him, knocking them both to the ground. "What the? Why do I taste... apple?" Gumdramon thought before he slowly opened his eyes. One of their flashlight were shinning in his direction, revealing that Applejack was laying on top of him. Gumdramon's eyes suddenly widened, realizing that their lips were pressed against each other. Applejack slowly moved her lips away from Gumdramon's.

"Whoops, sorry 'bout that." Applejack said while she got back up, her face blushing a little bit.. "Probably should've been looking where I was goin' instead of where I was." Joked, chuckled. She looked down at Gumdramon, noticing he was blushing profusely and staring directly into space with spiral eyes, with the occasional twitch.

"Wow, I must be an amazin' smoocher if that little peck managed to knock him out." Applejack said, blushing a little more. "C'mon now, let's get ya back up." Applejack said, lifting Gumdramon by the shoulders. "Wow, you're lighter than a bucket of apples!" She chuckled, getting him back on his feet, only for him to fall back down.

"Hmm, now how am I suppose ta wake him up?" Applejack wondered, tapping her chin. Suddenly, Applejack grew a large smile. "Of course! It's like that old fairy tale Granny Smith used ta tell me before I went ta bed." She said, walking over to Gumdramon's head. "If my kiss knocked him out, surely it can wake him back up!" Applejack puckered her lips as she slowly lowered her head down to Gumdramon.

"Oh boy, do I ever feel awake!" Gumdramon shouted as he darted back up.

"Hey now, that ain't how it works!" Applejack shouted at him. "You ain't supposed to wake up till I kiss ya!"

"No seriously, I'm fine! Hey is that a clue!" Gumdramon quickly shouted before he started running.

"Oh no you don't!" Applejack yelled as she lassoed Gumdramon, pulling him towards her.

"Seriously, Applejack, why are you doing this?!" Gumdramon asked, freaking out.

"Well you stole my first kiss. The least you can do is actually give me a REAL one." Applejack said, smirking at him.

"Applejack, you're reminding me a lot of Pinkie Pie right now and that's not a good sign!" Gumdramon said, trying to back up.

"Oh c'mon Gumdramon, I ain't askin' ya to go out with me." Applejack said, waving a hoof at him.

"Wait, what?" Gumdramon asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yeah, I ain't into the whole idea of dating. That's more of Big Mac's thang."

"So... what exactly is going on?"

"Well, i do like ya, but I ain't takin' ya from somepony who really needs you." Applejack said, laughing a little. "Besides, you ain't gonna impress that mare if ya keep smoochin' like that. The least I can do is teach ya how to do it right."

"Uh, I'm really confused. Is this a normal thing in Equestria?"

"Eh, maybe. Now then, are we gonna try this again or do you wanna keep kissin' like wimp?" Applejack asked, smiling at him.

"I honestly have no idea." Gumdramon said, shrugging.

"Ugh, whatever! I'm still gonna smooch ya though."

"Of course, why not?" Gumdramon said, rolling his eyes. "Besides, I do kinda need the practice."

"That's good enough for me!" Applejack said before grabbing Gumdramon's face and pulling him in for a kiss. They both lightly blushed as their lips locked. Gumdramon slowly closed his eyes before he started kissing her back. After a few second, Applejack slowly pushed Gumdramon's head away from hers. "See, that wasn't so bad now was it?"

"I-I guess not." Gumdramon said, lot making eye contact with her.

"I gotta say, you're a great kisser. I little rusty, but that's fine."

"Great, now can you please untie me." Gumdramon asked, awkwardly smiling at her.

"Heh, sure thing surgarcube!" Applejack said, laughing a little.

Twilight and Rainbow Dash were searching in several bushing, groaning after finding nothing in each on.

"Anything?" Twilight asked Rainbow, looking in another bush.

"I refer you to my previous, ugh!" Rainbow groaned, flying up to one of the trees. "Huh, that's weird?" Rainbow said, looking at one of the trees.

"It's a tree Rainbow, we've seen hundreds of them for the past hour." Twilight said, walking up to her.

"No, this one doesn't have any apples on it. But every other tree here still has apples on them." Rainbow said before looking closer at the branches. "And what's weirder is that these apples were cut, not bucked."

"Hmm, you may have a point there Rainbow. But what kind of pony would steal apples and set patches of grass on fire?"

"I don't know, but they sound like they have some life problems." Rainbow said, looking closely at the branches again. "Hey, you don't think Applejack would mind if we took one while we're out here, right?" Rainbow asked, looking at a shiny red delicious, only to receive no response. "Uh, Twi?" Rainbow said, looking behind her. Suddenly, a metal claw shot out of the tree and pulled her in.

"Wait, something's wrong." Gumdramon said, placing an arm in front of Applejack.

"What? What's wrong?"

"I feel some kind of energy. It feels so... familiar." Gumdramon said, looking around. "There!" Gumdramon shouted, pointing at a large group of trees. Suddenly, three blue circles appeared in an upside down triangle on one of the trees. "Look out!" Gumdramon shouted, pushing Applejack out of the way as a giant metal claw flew directly at the two. Slowly exiting the shadows, the tree revealed that it was made of a yellow metal and it's innards were filled with mechanical wires and devices.

"What is that?!" Applejack shouted.

"A Voltroid!" Gumdramon said. "It's a creature made of pure energy, hosting a mechanical body of armor. They're kind of the eggheads of the Clans." Gumdramon explained as the Voltroid retracted it's claw.

"Well, how do we beat it?" Applejack asked, quickly dodging another one of it's claws.

"You see those three circles?" Gumdramon asked as he pointed to them on the Voltroid. "Hit that, hard!"

"That's all I needed ta know!" Applejack said, running towards the Voltroid. Before it could fire another claw at her, Applejack bucked her hind legs into circles. As the metal flew off, it hole revealed a glowing, blue sphere inside.

"Perfect! Leave the rest to me!" Gumdramon said, charging towards the Voltroid. Grabbing onto the orb, Gumdramon quickly pulled it out, tearing off the wires connecting it together. The Voltroid began to moved around a bit before falling over. "Whelp, looks like I've got a midnight snack!" Gumdramon said before devouring the sphere in one gulp.

"Wow, I thought that thing was gonna be a lot tougher." Applejack said, kicking one of the robotic limbs.

"Well, this seems to be a much older model." Gumdramon said, looking at the machine's circuitry. "This thing must have been sent here as a way to get rid of the outdated tech."

"Well they better learn that Sweet Apple Acres is not a trash dump!" Applejack shouted, kicking the same robotic limb even harder.

"Well, this isn't all that bad." Gumdramon said, still looking inside the Voltroid. "Now that this is here, I can use its parts for my inventions."

"Really? You mean you can turn this piece of junk into somethin' useful?"

"Yeah, pretty much." Gumdramon stopped, looking at one of the legs. It was burnt. "Wait, these things aren't able to use any kind of pyrotechnics, so how did it-"

"HEY EVERYPONY!" Pinkie Pie's voice screamed at them, getting their attention. Turning around, they saw Twilight levitating four more of the same Voltroid.

"Whoa, guess there were more than I thought." Gumdramon said, rubbing the back of his head.

"Yeah, mind telling us what exactly these things are?" Rainbow asked, lifting one of their limbs.

Gumdramon and Twilight were walking up the path to the castle. Twilight was now levitating all five of the Voltroids.

"So, what exactly can you make with these things?" Twilight asked.

"If most of the mechanisms work, probably a lot of things. Hopefully they weren't too damaged." Gumdramon said, looking at them.

"Well, Rainbows may be beyond repair." Twilight said, laughing.

"Heh, yeah! But it's worth a try!" Gumdramon laughed with her.

As they walked into the castle, they stopped in utter silence once they reached the kitchen. Spike, Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo were all sitting at one side of the table. On the other side was a Charmander, Pikachu, and Oshawatt.
