Equestrian Warriors

The sun began to set as everyone gathered together in the center of Sweet Apple Acres. Gumdramon and Fluttershy quickly ran up to the others.

"Sorry we're late, Angel was being really needy." Gumdramon explained.

"That doesn't matter now. So, is everypony here?" Twilight asked, looking around. Everyone either cheered or nodded to answer her question. "And does everypony have their flashlights?"

"Yep!" Everyone

"Nope! Wait... never mind!" Pinkie shouted, pulling her flashlight out of her mane.

"Alright, here's the plan. Rarity and Fluttershy will search the western parts of the acres. Applejack and Pinkie Pie will search the northern parts of the acres. Rainbow Dash will search the southern parts of the acres. Finally, Gumdramon and I will search the eastern pa-"

"Wait, why does Gumdramon get to go with you?!" Rainbow argued.

"Because that's part of the plan." Twilight grumbled at her.

"Well, shouldn't Gumdramon go with somepony who would need the protection, like Rarity or Fluttershy?"

"What? Rainbow Dash, we're just looking for some trouble makers!"

"We don't know that for sure! We could be looking for a dragon or a fire breathing cat!"

"Rarity and Fluttershy can protect themselves! Unless of course, YOU'RE the one who needs HIS protection." Twilight said, smirking at Rainbow.

"W-What?! I don't need HIS protection! I can do fine on my own, and so can you Miss Alicorn Princess!" Rainbow argued, getting closer to Twilight.

"Fluttershy, I believe we should start our search." Rarity whispered to her.

"I-I think that's a good idea." Fluttershy said as she and Rarity start walking west.

(A Few Minutes of Arguing Later)

"If you want to have Gumdramon all to yourself, just say it!" Twilight and Rainbow yelled at each other in unison, both blushing profusely. They both stop, staring at each other. "How did you-" They both started, but stopped again after hearing a crunching sound. They turned to see Pinkie Pie eating a bowl of popcorn, but everyone else was gone.

"W-Where did everypony go?" Twilight asked, looking around the area.

"Well, Fluttershy and Rarity left when things were getting intense, then Applejack took Gumdramon with her.

"O-Oh..." Twilight and Rainbow sighed.

"Whelp, I'm outta popcorn! I think I'll head south, later!" Pinkie said, hopping away.

Twilight and Rainbow Dash looked at each other, sighing again. "Well, I guess we're going east." Twilight said, shrugging a little.

"Oh, looking for a burning thing, looking for a thing that burns! I'm looking for something with... flames inside it's glands!" Pinkie Pie sang to the tone of Somebody's In The Kitchen. She stopped as she heard a rustle in the bushes. "Ooh, a lead!" She said, pulling out her flashlight and shinning it at the bush. Once she got to the bush, she quickly dug her hooves in it and pulled the sides away. "What? I could've sworn I heard something?" Pinkie said, looking in the empty bush.

Suddenly, a loud growling noise came from behind her. She quickly turned around and screamed at the large, shadowy mass.

Twilight and Rainbow Dash were silently walking down a dirt path, neither one making any eye contact. Rainbow Dash sighed and turned to Twilight.

"Y'know, we're never gonna get over this if we don't talk it over." She said, rolling her eyes.

"So, do you really like Gumdramon in... THAT way?" Twilight asked, not looking in Rainbow's general direction.

"I guess, maybe?" Rainbow said, rubbing the back of her neck. "I mean, how can you really tell if you like somepony in that way?"

"Well, Cadence always told me that when your in love, your stomach fills butterflies, you can't help but smile when you think about them, and..." Twilight paused, stopping to look at the ground. She dig the dirt with the tip of her hoof as her face began to blush. "You feel this sort of... spark. Like a bolt of lighting flowing through your body and right into your heart." Twilight smiled as she doodled a little heart in the dirt. Shaking her head, she quickly erased the doodle. "B_but of course, she says that one usually only happens when you... k-kiss them." She stuttered, nervously giggling afterwards.

"Whelp, then I guess I don't actually like him that way." Rainbow said, rolling her eyes.

"W-What?!" Twilight shouted, pressing her muzzle against hers. "Y-You k-kiss him?!" Twilight asked her, staring at her with a shocked expression.

"Uh, y-yeah..." Rainbow said, pushing Twilight back a bit. "Long story short, he pretended to be my boyfriend so that I could shut Thunderbolt up. I had to kiss him or else she wouldn't believe me. After that, she tried to get Gumdramon to leave me and date her instead, but... Gumdramon said some really nice things about me then. I guess that might have been the reason why I thought I liked him like that." Rainbow said shrugging.

"So, no spark?" Twilight asked.

"Nope." Rainbow replied, shaking her head.

"Did you... like the k-kiss?"

Rainbow's face immediately turned red in embarrassment as she jumped into the air. "N-NO! Of course not." Rainbow retorted, folding her forelegs.

"Heh, sure you didn't." Twilight said, smirking and rolling her eyes at Rainbow.

"W-Well what about you, huh?! Do you like him?"

Twilight froze, looking at the ground. "I-I..." Twilight stuttered as her eyes darted around. Rainbow Dash quickly flew down, wrapping one of her wings around Twilight.

"Uh, sorry about that. I didn't mean anything like that. Ugh, can we please stop talking about all this mushy stuff and try to find this pony?"

"Yeah, your right. Let's just forget about this whole thing. Forgiven?" Twilight asked, extending a hoof towards Rainbow.

"Forgiven!" Rainbow said, slamming her hoof against Twilight's.
