Friendship No More

Pinkie lay in her bed. She'd been ill for a while and her condition began getting worse. Her friends crowd around her hospital bed crying softly to themselves praying she gets better. Pinkie,who was once bright and cheerful, is now bedridden and can barely move. "Guys it's going to be ok. Just remember to smile" She says weakly and her friends all nod and wipe the tears from their eyes. Pinkie starts to sing her smile song weakly. "Come on everypony...smile...smile...smile. Fill my heart up with shine..."

Applejack joins in. "Come on everypony" Then Rainbow "Smile smile smile" She sings out softly while still wiping tears from her red puffy eyes. Soon enough all six of the ponies are singing together. "Fill my heart up with sunshine sunshine" They all sing quietly together. Then all the friends bow their heads slightly and close their eyes. Except Pinkie who's smiling weakly at her friends. Just then a loud beeping sound is heard.

They all lift their heads up as fast as they can and open their eyes. They begin crying loudly as Pinkie drifts from life. The doctors rush in and the ponies are forced out of the room. "No! No you cant do this! We need to be with her!" Yells Rainbow Dash, trying to push the nurse who's now blocking the doorway. Applejack rests her hoof on Dash's shoulder. Dash looks behind her at Applejack, who just closes her eyes and shakes her head.

Rainbow turns around and stares at her friends who are now huddled together in a group hug. "But! But Pinkie would want us to be there!" Yelled Rainbow Dash who was starting to form tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry, Dash. But we can't. We just have to accept it. I miss her as much as you do but there's nothing we can do." Applejack says. Rainbow breaks down into tears and wraps her arms around AppleJack. AppleJack rubs Dash's back trying to calm her down.

"Time of death, 3:45" Says one of the doctors as the other covers Pinkie Pie with a sheet. They both bow their heads and leave the room. Twilight comes back to reality. She wipes more tears and continues walking. She's not sure where she's going but she feels she needs to go away somewhere to help ease the pain.  The sun is beginning to rise. She estimates it's around 6:00 AM. Twilight's legs begin to hurt but she keeps walking. Determined to find a place where she can forget. Until she spots something familiar in the corner of her eye. Twilight looks up to the sky. It's Rainbow's old cloud house. Twilight opens her wings and slowly flies up toward the building and sits on the porch. She Examined the old building. The windows are boarded up and there's crude graffiti all over the sides and on the door. She notices that the roof has caved in and the whole place is falling apart. Suddenly Twilight has another flashback to when Rainbow Dash was lost.
