Friendship No More

Rainbow shot up into the sky leaving a bright stream of rainbow colours behind her as her remaining friends crowded together on the ground to watch the show. Rainbow did flips and tricks with an impressive amount of grace. The wind was calm and the day quiet. Suddenly in the middle of one of Rainbows quadruple backflips, the winds changed and became overwhelmingly powerful. Rainbow spun out and plummeted to the ground like a boulder dropped from space. She landing with a loud thud instantaneously followed by the cringeworthy cracking sound of her bones shattering and her body contorting.

Her friends all screamed and crowded around the mangled remains of her once graceful body. Rainbow died on impact. Twilight, Rarity,Fluttershy,and Applejack crowded around her lifeless body. The tears flowing heavily as they fought the harsh reality that she was gone. Twilight came back to reality. The sun was at the height of its journey. It was noon hour. Twilight slowly flew back down to the ground and continues to walk. Trying to get rid of the images of her friends flashing repeatedly in her head.  However, the images were relentless. No matter what Twilight did, they wouldn't go away. Twilight was beginning to lose hope in her life. As her world grew more dark and grey with every passing day, she only slipped further into her depression.

Twilight continued walking for what felt like days but was only a few minutes. Until she noticed a familiar sight. It was Rarity's boutique. The windows were boarded up and the place was falling apart. It seemed like only yesterday it was a prosperous business. Full of happy friends and even happier customers. Twilight smiled to herself weakly as all the old memories of this place came flooding back. Starting with the very beginning, all the way to the very end. The night when Rarity was lost to the world.
