The moment we exited the library my jaw dropped, never once have I seen such a beautiful city, I couldn’t think of anywhere on earth that could compare to this. I kept staring at the city until I realized we were at the bottom of the steps when I almost tripped over my feet for not paying attention. A question crossed my mind. "Hey Twilight, how exactly are we getting to Ponyville?"
She looked back at me and answered, "the Princess hired a carriage for us to get there the fastest, instead of the train because that usually takes about an hour."
"How does a carriage go faster than a train?" I questioned.
"It doesn't actually, the tracks travel along a path while the carriage is pulled straight towards Ponyville by Pegasus guards."
"Pegasus Guards? You mean it flies?" Christian asked hesitantly.
"Yeah, why?"
"Oooh no..." he said quietly with a sigh. ‘Is Christian afraid of heights?’
"You know where it is right?” I asked.
"Its over by the tree I was studying at earlier."
As we walked in silence there weren't many ponies on the path we followed but those we did pass were too focused on something or another to notice us. There's a Unicorn walking towards us right now though. He has a white coat with a dirty blond mane and tail, and is wearing what looks like a ponified tuxedo. He simply huffed when he saw Twilight, but looked absolutely horrified when he saw me and Christian. ‘Oh god.’
"Twilight Sparkle! First a Dragon, now…” he stuttered a moment, “These?! What are these abominations doing with you? Princess Celestia would never allow such horrific looking... things as your pet!" He exclaimed as Twilight and Spike tried to ignore them. ‘*mental gasp* ideee-aaaa!’
I looked to Christian and caught his attention, I mouthed ‘Dovahzul’ with a smirk and nudged my head towards the Unicorn currently berating our new friends. His brows furrowed, then lifted in surprise, and smirked.
We turned back to the arrogant jerk who seemed to be commenting about us being slaves or
something.
I walked next to the unicorn and motioned Christian to the other side and we both crouched. I cleared my throat and he froze. “Fos fon wah kos diron?” (What seems to be the problem?)
We were met with Twilight, the asshole, and Spike giving us surprised, bewildered, and Incredulous looks respectively.
“They don’t even speak Equestrian!?” he shouted.
“Geh mu dreh korah nii uv ni, nuz Zu'u lorot niidro pruz fod hi dreh ni mindoraan mii,” (Yes we do believe it or not, but I think it's better when you don't understand us,) Christian corrected with a smile.
“Did I give you permission to speak, beast?”
Christian frowned, “who said I needed it?” The pony gaped at him.
Twilight shook away her confusion and finally turned to look at him, “Prince BlueBlood, I’m sorry, but we have something very important to attend to, and I’m sure you do too.”
“I won’t forget this, Sparkle,” he threatened before casting a look at me and Christian and trotting off. When he was a fair distance away, we silently resumed our walk to the carriage.
Spike clicked his tongue, “okay, I’ll say it,-” he spun around on Twilights back as her ears swiveled to listen in, “- not only you two speak two languages… but you can speak in Dragon Tongue?!”
My mouth dropped. ‘Thats a thing here?! I could understand there being a language that Dragons speak, but it seriously just so happens to be the same language from Skyrim?’ I shook my head slightly and cleared my throat.
“Yeah, knowing a language most others don’t is quite useful.”
“Mostly because it helps to get bullies to back off. Sometimes.” Christian elaborated.
“You guys were bullied? Why?” Spike inquired.
“Beats me, if I took a guess, I would say because we were labeled as nerds.”
Spike looked a little sad, “That… sucks.”
“If you ask me, they were a bunch of shisno’s that can’t bother us anymore.” Me and Christian laughed.
"A bunch of what’s?"
“You don’t wanna know,” I said with a smile. He raised an eyebrow.
“No, seriously.” He turned back around with a shrug. A glint off in the distance caught my attention, I looked to see a carriage two Pegasus Guards latched to it, next to a small tree. Twilight picked up the pace and I followed as we got on.
Christian hesitated to get on but eventually got on. When the Guards took off, the carriage surprisingly gained altitude pretty fast, Christian didn't seem too happy to be flying and I thought he was about to hurl when he looked over the edge but instead seemed to calm down a little for some reason. I noticed Twilight looking over the side with an upset expression, probably not happy that Celestia dissed her about the Mare on the Moon. ‘Maybe we could encourage her to at least look forward to making some friends?’
"Hey, is something wrong?" I asked, getting her attention.
"Hmm? Oh, I'm just surprised the Princess brushed off the Mare on the Moon prophecy like that." She answered. ‘Called it.’
"It's alright, I've been shot down like that countless times before, but it makes you feel more accomplished when you prove them wrong, right?" I assured her, nudging Christian at the end, getting his attention.
"What?"
"Nevermind, you weren't listening." I said, with a wave of my hand and looked back to Twilight, "My point is, sometimes somepony won't believe everything another says. I honestly believe you because I've read that some crazy shit goes on here, so I wouldn't be surprised if this 'Nightmare Moon' is real." I told her, getting a small grateful smile in response, though it quickly went away and she looked back over the side with an annoyed expression. I frowned, ‘Damn she's stubborn!’ I nudged Christian again, he looked at me and raised an eyebrow.
“Help me out here,” I whispered.
“With what?”
“She won’t stop being so stubborn about not making friends,” I said, eliciting a sigh and a nod from him.
"You know..." I started, faking a thoughtful look, getting her attention, "maybe we could find a couple others that might believe us."
"Maybe even convince them to help us prepare for it," Christian added in.
"Yeah! That would even help us make some friends!" Spike chimed in. Judging by Twilights sudden disinterest, he ruined it.
"The future of Equestria doesn't rely on me making friends." She deadpanned. I shared a sympathetic look with Christian and Spike, while the former leaned closer.
"She'll learn," he whispered.
"Hopefully."
"Yeah, hopefully..."
"Hey, were almost at Ponyville!" Spike announced. I followed where he was pointing and found a small town. Even from this distance I could see ponies going about their business. Selling things at a market stall, buying from other stalls, the occasional Pegasus flying around. From my guess, Ponyville seems like a busy town. When we landed, the Pegasus guards actually neighed before Twilight thanked them.
"Maybe the ponies here have interesting things to talk about?" Spike suggested as a light pink pony with curly dark pink hair was walking up to us with a bounce to her step. When she stopped I stepped forward to greet her.
"Hi, I-" She cut me off by suddenly gasping so loud she literally floated in the air for a few seconds with sheer excitement. Just when I thought she might explode, she flew over my head. I looked in the direction she went only to see she was already gone.
“That was…” I thought for a moment, “Weird…”
