Celestia and Luna looked at Cadence in alarm. "you sure?" Celestia asked and Cadence nodded. Celestia and Luna exchanged worried glances. "She's returning...." Luna said and Twilight and Spike exchanged confused glances. "who is?" Cadence asked. Celestia sighed. "Show us the crystal heart" She said and all for princesses flew to the crystal Empire. They landed in front of the crystal heart and Spike fell off Twilights back. Shining Armor was trying to keep all the crystal ponies calm while the guards blocked the ponies way to the heart. The crystal heart was black and pieces were falling off of it when they hit the ground they melted into a black liquid as thick as blood. Luna's eyes were wide with shock as she stared at the crystal heart. "I guess it's time we tell you the truth of the crystal heart." Celestia said and made a black barrier around the four of them. Celestia made a small screen in front of them where images were projected with magic. Images went by to quickly for Twilight to keep track but it stopped on a picture of an alicorn standing in front of other ponies. Three alicorns and a unicorn. twilights heart lurched as she realized the unicorn was a younger version of King Sombra. Cadence was staring wide eyed as the picture changed to the Sombra and the three alicorns blasting the other alicorn with magic that created a hard crystal shell around her which quickly became the crystal heart. "the pony in the crystal heart is what keeps the empire from falling." Luna said. "what's with Sombra?" Cadence asked. "Um he actually helped create the Crystal Empire. He didn't know the alicorns would use the other alicorn's magic to generate love in Equestria." Luna explained. The barrier around them disappeared. They all looked at the crystal heart. It was almost completely broken and the black liquid that was the pieces started creating the form of a pony, the form of an alicorn...
Twilight snapped awake at a booming sound outside, she looked out the window and her eyes widened. "SPIKE!" Twilight shouted and Spike woke up and ran to her side. "what the....: He started then stopped and looked around the library. "should we look for a book?" He asked and looked at Twilight. "yes" Twilight said and ran down the stairs and started looking through every book. After ten hours she had found nothing about what was happening outside. "I need to tell Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Spike write a letter to the princesses!" She ordered. Spike was about to get a paper and quill when fire came out of his mouth and turned into a letter. Spike started reading it. "Dear Twilight we are fully aware of what is happening at Ponyville and we know that you spent ten hours looking for something in your books about it. You must come to Canterlot we have something we need to show you. From Princess Celestia and Princess Luna" Twilight put Spike on her back and ran outside. She froze and looked at the ground in front of her. Red blood stained the ground and three feet away lay the body of a pony Twilight had never seen before.....
Twilight flew to Canterlot as fast as she could. When she made it to the castle she ran inside and stopped in front of Celestia and Luna. "Twilight calm down." Celestia told her and looked at Spike who was trying hard not to throw up. Luna cleared her throat. "We know your concerned about ponyville." She stated and Twilight rolled her eyes. "OF COURSE I AM!" She yelled and instantly regretted it. "Of course and we are going to tell you what is going on" Celestia said and made a gesture for Twilight and Spike to follow as Luna and she started walking away. Twilight and Spike followed the other princesses as they walked to a strange black door. Celestia laid a hoof on the door and Luna did the same, voices came from the other side but when the door opened there was nopony there. Twilight and Spike followed Celestia and Luna into the room. The room was dark with only one very dim light hanging from the ceiling. Twilight could tell there were windows with stained glass but she couldn't make out the details. Celestia and Luna stopped in front of a large bronze door at the end of the room. "what is behind this door we have been protecting for our whole lives." Luna said and together she and Celestia opened the door. Twilight caught her breath for right in front of her was a huge dark portal that seemed lik it wanted ponies to walk through it. "This is a portal to an alternate universe quite like ours but with more than a hundred kingdoms who have ponies who are more advanced than us. These kingdoms also have the elements of balance but the elements have disappeared and somehow ended up in Equstria without them all other worlds including ours is in chaos because the world on the other side of this portal controls all balance to all other worlds." Celestia explained. "so.." Twilight stopped as she heard Cadences voice behind her. "THE CRYSTAL HEART IS BREAKING!"
Fluttershy woke up and looked outside. "oh my goodness." She said as she caught sight of all the buildings and the sky. "No wonder u guys are so worried this morning." She looked at her animals, Angel was chewing rapidly on a carrot. Fluttershy jumped as she heard a knock on her door. She walked over to the door and slowly opened it she almost freaked at the sight of the pony. "um h-hello?"She said almost inaudible. The pony was a stallion and he was an alicorn. One side of his body was orange the other side black. The eye on the orange side was green the other was blue. One side of the mane was fire and the other was dark and shadowy. Fluttershy couldn't see the cutiemark and decided she didn't want to. "Hello." The alicorn said slowly as if he didn't know if he should be there. "oh um are you ok?" Fluttershy asked and the stallion shook his head. "Its been a long journey I still don't know if im in the right place." He said and Fluttershy could tell he was pretty tired. "Come in then." Fluttershy offered and the stallion nodded in gratitude and followed her inside.
