Chapter 1 ( what and where am i? )

Deep down in a cave in "somewhere" was a "someone" who had a very bad day. for starters he tripped and fell on his shoulder. Witch hurt like hell. Second he got stuck in the middle of a flash storm and now he is in a cave, a dark cave "wonderful." Now i'm not a huge fan of the dark. In fact I despises the dark. You cant see anything in the dark. And reading creepy pasta and S.C.P didn't help my paranoia.

I felt like someone has ripped me to pieces. threw me into a wood chipper and put me back together with duct tape. I felt like shit to say the least. My eyes fluttered open before closing again. My eye lid's where heavy. I tried to open my eyes, and succeeded this time. I decided id do a body check since i'm on a roll.

First i moved my fingers about. i still had fingers... and thumbs for all of you smart asses out there. But they didn't feel right. They felt... different. I brought my hand up to my face. I still had arms! YAY! My hand wasn't my own. it was fatter, It was furry, and I had... claws? all in all i had paw. "What the hell?" I gasped. i went to sit up. RIIIIIiiP. Well there goes my pants. at least i still have my underwear. i sat up a little more. RIIIIIIiiP. "I should have just kept my pie hole shut" I murmured. I tried out my new claws and shredded my pants and shoes.

I looked down at my legs. but what was there was not what i was expecting they where two big furry legs. almost like a dogs legs. I stumble to my feet. My shirt ripped so i just shredded that to. I toke my first steps in my new body. I stumbled a little not being use to my new form and also cause I could barley see. But I could still see a little bit.

I tried out my new claws. Extending them and sheathing them. I did it as tho I was doing this for my whole life. I started to walk around feeling the cold stone underneath my touch. I stumbled a little trying to keep my balance. But I failed to keep my balance and I fell. I extended my claws in panic. As I fell I threw my hand/paw out towards the wall on my right. What happened next took my breath away. My claws dig in the rocky face like a hot knife threw butter. I sheathed my claws and fell onto the floor the claws being the only thing keeping me from falling.

I stood back up and found it easier to use my front paws as stability. "What just happened?" I questioned. I looked down at my claws and made a 'o' face. I looked at the wall, and grinned. I dug my claws into the rock and pulled out a huge chunk of rock. I threw at the rocky wall on the other side of the room. "I'm starting to like these new body modifications." I stated. I made my way around the room this time with no tripping or falling. I found a way out of the cave. Or at least up, but that's still a good sign. I made my way up the slope.

I made my way out of the cave and into a wonderful sunlight. I put my paw up to shield my eyes from the sun. Ounce my eyes adjusted I gazed around. The cave burst from a huge mountain with snow building at the peak and a waterfall down its side. There was a river bend with some amazing red and orange flowers along side its beach. The trees stood tall and proud all swaying in the mornings breeze. I made my way down to the river. The water was still and you could see some gold fish swimming away.

I looked down into the water but what looked back startled me. I had black and tan fur all over my body. I had a snout and two big floppy ears. I showed my teeth. I had two sharp canines. My arms wear really long. I stared at myself for a while. I pinched myself to see if I wasn't dreaming. "What am I?" I questioned. I turned away from the river and made my way to the cave. And I sat down at the entrance of the cave for a while, and thought.

After abour 1-2 hours I decided id try to make my self some place to sleep. seeing how it was getting dark. I stood up and walked over to one of the trees and climbed it. I was able to climb it rather fast useing my claws to swing me up the tree. I reached the topbof the yree in no less then 5 minutes.

I looked around me. Behind me was the mountain I emerged from. There where no other mountains in a mile around it. I dubbed the mountain the lonely mountain. To my left was fust a bunch of trees and some moutains in the distance. Infrony of me was more forest but past that I could make out a silhouette of a few villages. The closest one was about 2 miles away and it layed in a mucky swamp. To my left was something I didn't expect to be there. Thetevwas a long brick wall with a gate in the middle. The wall was in between two mountains. On each side was a few towers and tents. On one side there seemed to be... giant birds? Or where they lions? I knew there whete called somethong but I forgot. on the other side was a bunch of colorfull ponies. I just climbed back down the tree with questions buzzing in my head. But two of the questions bubbled to the top. "What and where am

I?" I murmured.

Private. Elemental Blaze

I am a private in the royal border defense. And I have the suckiest job ever. I have to patrol the border that in next to Madhaks mountain. Where nothing exiting happens. I had orange fur that was covered in muck. And my mane was a maroon color. My cutie mark was a small fireball surrounded by other elements. I was wearing red robes and there where ligned in gold, fake gold.

" Wonderful "

I use to patrol the the gate walls, until I had a accident ( that evolves me accidentally setting the gun powder barrels on fire and blowing a hole in the wall. ) I sighed. At least my walk was peacful and I had my thoughts to myself. I gave me time to think about. Her, she was named Silver Heart and she was the the camps medic. She had a silver coat. And her mane was a gray color. She had piercing teal eyes. She was a pegasuss. Her cutie mark was a teal heart crossed in bandages.

I turned my head to the mountain. But instead just seeing the trees, the mountain, and the occasional bird. There was a something else. A diamond dog. I ducked behind cover to try and stay hidden. I watched him until he climbed down the tree. "I better tell the captain about this." I whispered trying to not get my cover blown.

The last time there was diamond dogs in this area it wasn't pretty. The diamond dogs kept on stealing the food from the camp. The royal border patrol tried to negotiate with them but they wouldn't listen. The patrol tried to make pieace multiple times but they where hazing none of it. The pony's at the camp started to starve. They just didn't have enough food. They had to take to "extreme" measures. They killed the dogs. I shivered at the memory of what happened. I teleported into camp.

I appeared at the entrance of the camp. I made my way into camp. We had a blacksmith run by a stallion named molten steel. We also had a barracks, a general store, and a medic tent run by the one and only silver heart. At the end of the path was the captains tent. He walked over to the tent and tried get inside. But I was blocked by a guards pony.

"Halt!" The first guards pony bellowed "state your purpose here"

"I need to get inside to see the captain" I said

"No way, he's busy trying to explain to the griffins that there wasn't a attack cause somepony had to blow a hole in the wall."

"Please!" I pleaded "it's very important."

"Oh ya?"he questioned "what is so important it can't wait tell the captain is done talking?"

"I say a blasted diamond dog up near Madhaks mountain."

"Fine I'll go and tell him that your here"

the guards pony walked inside. I looked at the other guards pony. "Hey I said." He didn't answer "helloooOoOo? Still no response. I waved my hoof in front of his face. He didn't even blink. "If somepony painted you grey id mistake you for a statue." I said. The other guards pony came back out of the tent. "The captain wishes to see you now." He states. I took one last glance at statue pony (the other guards pony) and trotting inside.

The tent was bigger on the inside. The reason for that is that it goes into the ground. In the middle of the room was a big oval table with a bunch of maps on it. In the top right corner was the captains cot. Therevwas also a bunch of chests on the left hand hoof of the wall. In the bottom left corner was a armor stand.

there currently was 2 occupants in the room. The captain. He had a black mane and a light blue coat. And the Griffin captain. He had dark red feathers. The captain looked at me tgen back to the Griffin. "We'll continue this latter he said. The griffin walked out of the room.

"I hear your the one who blew a hole in my wall." The captain said calmly

"Yes sire that was me sir." I grumbled

"I also heard you want ef tobyell me something."

"Yes sir I say a diamond dog".

"A diamond dog?" He questioned "where exactly did you see it?"

"Near Madhaks moutain sir."

"There has been no sightings of a diamond dog near there."

"Please I only want you to atleast send a small search party."

"Im sorry private Blaze I just can't do that."

"Please sir I..." He raised his hoof to shush me.

"I said no and that's final."

"But"

"No buts I said no and I men't it, now get back to your post private."

I sighed. "Yes sir" I grumbled

I slowly made my way out of the tent. Then I trotted down the road. I could hear some whispering and hushed voices.

"Is that that pony who blew a hole in the wall?"

"He look its spark plug."

"WHERES MY PIE." One said not such a hushed tine

I teleported to the gate. And jogged back down the dirt path. As u was walking I started to think

First about pie then about what the captain told me. I decided if he'd wouldn't help then I'd just do it on my own. I was going to search for the diamond dog.
