Derpy's wings flapped as hard as they could, as she started to cry. "Nobody cares!" She said to herself.
Just then, her left wing got struck by lightning. She started falling to the ground and heard a crack when she landed. "Oh no… My wing," She exclaimed. "Its broken!". She ran to a nearby cave, not being careful of her surroundings. "I will hopefully be safe here…" she thought. Then, a voice appeared behind her.
"Hello there." Said a strange mare.
"H-hi.." Said Derpy.
"My name is Lunex." She said.
"Im Derpy." Derpy replied.
"Where are you from?" Lunex asked.
"Ponyville.." Derpy said.
"Cool, I was born here, in the Everfree forest." Lunex said.
Then, lightning struck the ground and there was a big boom after it. It rained harder and harder, and got darker and darker. "Would you like to see a trick?" asked Lunex. Derpy nodded as Lunex got something in her mouth. She showed it to Derpy. Then set it on a tree stump. "Ready?" Said Lunex. Derpy once again nodded and Lunex swirled the dust-like structure that she showed to Derpy, and a portal was created. It was shaped in a circle. "You ready for the adventure?" asked Lunex, excited. Derpy nodded, seeming excited. "Alright then! lets go!" Then Derpy and Lunex hopped in at the same time.
