For the heart is the mightiest weapon of all.

It had been more than a year since the incident where Nyx accidentally sent Joshua to an alternate Equestria.  There, he made friends with another human child the same age as him: Toby.  The two have similar back stories in which they lost someone or someones dear to them.  After being returned to his world, Joshua had hoped that he would see Toby again someday.  Fate decreed he would, when both he and Toby would receive strange dreams.
