Honorary Sister
Chapter 1
Load Full StoryNext Chapter"Bye mom! Bye dad!" You call. Your parents are just pulling out of the driveway for their weekend-long holiday. Your 7 year old sister Alaina had already been dropped off at a friend's house for the weekend.
Your mom waves out her window, "Be good, Adrianna! We'll be home in 2 days!"
"I know mom!" You replied, "I will!" And I'm not even gonna mention that you told me that like a million times.
With that, they were off. Once your family's blue van disappeared from your sight, you headed back into the house. After locking the door, you go up to your room to draw. Not knowing what to draw, you pick up the phone you'd gotten for your 13th birthday a week ago for inspiration. You scroll through your photo library. Hmm... I already drew Applejack, Fluttershy and Twilight... I can never do Rarity's hair... That leaves Pinkie and Rainbow Dash. I'm 'Feeling Pinkie Keen' today, maybe I'll draw her.
You pick up a pencil and start sketching. Maybe I'll draw her as a human. But I'll still give her a tail. Yeah, that would be cool!
In half an hour, you manage to finish the outline of Pinkie.
Just as you're about to pick up a colored pencil, there's a thud coming from outside the house. Then a groan. A minute later, the doorbell rings. Because you know you aren't supposed to open the door for strangers, you stand on the top of the stairs and peek down. Through the window beside the door you're surprised to see a young girl- maybe 9 or 10-in sporty attire with RAINBOW HAIR! What the hell? Rainbow Dash is most definitely a cartoon; not real! Although other people can have rainbow hair, you are almost certain this girl's cosplaying RD. Screw the stranger danger rule, you need to figure out what's wrong with that kid; going from door to door cosplaying ponies.
"Can I help you?" You open the door.
"Uh, yeah. I'm Rainbow Dash and I honestly have no idea where I am."
"You are currently at 105 Equestrian Drive, Ottawa, Ontario."
"Where the Tataurus is that?"
"It's where you are. And what the hell is Tataurus?" is your response, "Unless you mean that hellish-jail near Ponyville that's guarded by that Cerberus thing in My Little Pony?"
The so called Rainbow Dash's mouth is agape, "How'd you know that?! I don't even know what I am right now and you know where I live?!" She shakes her head, "And what's My Little Pony? It sounds like something Flutters would call an animal of some kind."
"You know what?" You're getting fed up, "Are you really 100% telling the truth? You're really Rainbow Dash? And I can tell you're lying ‘cause I have a stupid little sister who's so friggin good at lying it's scary. It's my job to bust her. I get a dollar per lie. But she doesn't know that." You smirk.
"Uh, yeah I am. Who else is this awesome?" She lifts her back a bit.
You look at her like she's nuts.
'Rainbow Dash' looks confused. She turns around and looks at her back.
She shrieks. SHRIEKS. Like REALLY. EARDRUM. BUSTING LOUD.
"God, do you mind? I'm standing right here ya know?"
"Where are my wings?" She grabs your shirt, "Tell me, you Celestia-damned creature, where. Are. My. WINGS?!"
You smile at her, "Wow, you are one good actress! You even got Ashleigh Ball's voice! And you haven't let one word slip un-ponified!"
"ANSWER ME!!!!!" She's completely ignoring your comment.
You contemplate on whether or not you should call the police. A 10 year old can't possibly hurt me, right?
"Ok, ok sheesh. If you aren't already familiar with the concept," you glare directly at her, "Humans don't have wings."
"How the hay do you live without wings? Who manages the weather?"
As Rainbow rambles on, you realize something. She isn't lying. The thought strikes you as incredible. How can there be a humanized Rainbow Dash right there at your house? And why does she look like she's 10?
"Hey Rainbow Dash," you interrupt her rambling. She looks up at you.
"I believe you. I believe you're the real Rainbow Dash."
"Was there ever any doubt? No one else can be this awesome!" She grins. "But, what's a 'human'?"
Oh, dear god. That talk. You look back down at Dash; her eyes sparkle with curiosity, all of the past anger washed away like the tide and as she waits for your answer, she subconsciously wraps her arms around herself. Only then do you realize it's cold and wet outside from the sudden storm that just passed.
"You know what? Come inside, it's pretty cold out there. I'll tell you after."
Rainbow obliges, stepping through the open door, "Hey, what's your name anyway? You know who I am but who're you?"
"I'm Adrianna Willows. Here, come in and sit down." You lead her to a couch and help her settle down, then run and get a sweater for her. When you return with one of your hoodies, Rainbow's sitting there examining her 'new body'. You toss your sweater at her.
"So, you wanna know about humans?"
She nods. You ponder on whether you should tell her the-uh-inappropriate, so to speak, stuff or just stick to the basics. Basics should be easy enough to start with.
“Ok, so this is your head, and these are arms,” You motion to each body part when mentioned, “Hands, elbows and fingers.”
“Head, arms, hands, elbows, fingers.” Dash repeats.
“Well, you’re a fast learner.”
She smirks, “Heh, just comes to me! You gonna keep going or what?”
“Ok, chest, stomach, hip, legs, knees and feet.” You only say a few at a time as not to confuse her.
“Chest, stomach, hip, legs, knees, feet. This is easy stuff. Waaay easier than school.”
Now it’s your turn to smirk, “That’s because we learn these things waaay before we even start school. And also, these are only the basics.”
“How much more is there?”
You pull out your laptop and show Rainbow a picture of the human anatomy.
“WHAT?!”
