Thunder Flash's Crush

Thunder Flash, age 9, is starting his first day of Summer Flight Camp.  He doesn't really want to be here.  He wants to go back home.

"Mom, please don't make me go!" he cried to his mother.

"You'll do fine, sweetie.  I'll be back at 3 to pick you up." his mother told him.

Thunder tried to hide from everyone.  He hid behind the bleachers on the side of the race track.

"Hi." he heard a voice beside him.  He looked over and saw a cyan blue filly with a rainbow mane and tail.

"I'm Rainbow Dash, and this is my friend Fluttershy." she said to him.

Thunder looked beside Rainbow Dash and saw a yellow filly with a pink mane and tail.  Thunder suddenly felt a little funny in the stomach.  He didn't understand what was happening.

"I'm Thunder Flash." he said weakly, though Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy heard him clearly.

"Is it your first day too?" Rainbow Dash asked Thunder.

"Yeah." Thunder responded.

"I've been there before." Fluttershy said quietly.

"Then why are you hiding back here?" Thunder asked her.

"I always hide back here.  I'm too shy to go out there." said Fluttershy.

"FLUTTERSHY, RAINBOW DASH, AND THUNDER FLASH!  REPORT TO THE MAIN TRACK IMMEDIATELY!" yelled a voice over the loud speaker.

"Uh oh." said Rainbow Dash.
