Thunder Flash's Crush

"Next we will test your speed.  Rainbow Dash, you're up first." Ms. Blossomforth said.

The two bullies, Hoops and Dumb-Bell, walked over to Rainbow Dash and started making fun of her.

"Good luck, Rainbow Crash." Hoops said, mockingly.

Rainbow Dash tried to cover her face with the front of her mane.  A light blue colt with a dark blue mane and tail who was around the same age as Rainbow Dash walked over to her.

"You better leave her alone." he said to Hoops.  Hoops and Dumb-Bell just laughed at him.

"Yeah, right." Hoops said, still laughing.

"Thanks Soarin, but they're not gonna stop making fun of me." she said to the colt.  She then gave him a kiss on the cheek.  After that, she went to fly around the track.  She flew almost as fast as sound.

"In you're face." she said to Hoops.

"Whatever.  Me and Dumb-Bell can do better than that." Hoops said.

Hoops went after Rainbow, but he didn't prove what he said.

"Okay, so maybe I can't, but I'm sure Dumb-Bell can." Hoops said in embarrassment.

Dumb-Bell went next, but he went slower than Hoops.

"Come on, Dumb-Bell.  We have other things to do." Hoops said, even more embarrassed.

"Thunder Flash, it's your turn." Ms. Blossomforth said.

Thunder flew faster than all the others.  All of the kids and Ms. Blossomforth stood with their mouths wide open.

"That was amazing!" Rainbow Dash yelled.

"I've never seen anything like it." Fluttershy said.

"Thanks." Thunder said.

"Thunder, look!" Rainbow said in amazement.

Thunder looked at his flank and saw a blue hedgehog with white gloves and red shoes.

"Sonic the Hedgehog?  How is my cutie mark Sonic the Hedgehog?" Thunder said in confusion.

"Well, Sonic is really fast at running, and you're really fast at flying." Rainbow said to him.

"All right kids.  It is now 2:45.  Your parents should be here in about 15 minutes.  Until then, you can play games and hang out together." Ms. Blossomforth told them.

"I'll be right back, I gotta use the bathroom." Thunder said to Rainbow and Fluttershy.

"Rainbow Dash, can I ask you a question?" Fluttershy asked.

"Sure." Rainbow said.

"Do you think Thunder likes me?" Fluttershy asked.

"Why?  Do you like him?" Rainbow asked.

"Well he is cute.  I just don't know if he likes me the way I like him."  Fluttershy said.

Thunder returned before Rainbow responded.

"Well this day turned out better than I expected." Thunder said.

Thunder's mom came by.

"There's my mom.  I'll see you tomorrow." Thunder said to Rainbow and Fluttershy.

"Bye." Fluttershy said.

"See ya." Rainbow said.
