Under the decision of the Royal Sisters, Twilight takes the task of giving Nightmare Moon life once more, but also a new life, a way to start over, as said in the letter sent to her. But, not in the way she had hoped or thought. A few quarrels result from it, and in the end, Twilight accepts her new role as Nightmare Moon's mother, but then traces of the old Nightmare Moon begin showing up and things get much deeper.

Will Twilight be able to revive Nightmare Moon, not as a malicious evil mare, but as a sweet, and nice mare instead?
