The newly joined wonderbolt members just wrapped up the aerial air show. Rainbow Dash cantered out of the Wonderbolts V.I.P area. When Spitfire noticed this, she trotted over to Rainbow.

"Hey Rainbow Dash, can I talk to you for a minute?" Spitfire said in a hushed voice so she and Rainbow could hear but nobody else could.

"Huh, what!?" Rainbow said quietly.

Spitfire traced Rainbow's eyes to a certain point to see a stallion. The stallion who was her ex-boyfriend. Though she wasn't jealous that Rainbow was fonding over him. She had been the one to break up with him, and he didn't really have feelings.

"Looking at Soarin, huh Rainbow?"

Rainbow looked shocked as much as she was embarrassed.

"What! N-no!" Rainbow yelled, and stuttering.

"Please Rainbow, I know that look. I had it first time I laid eyes on Soarin, until of course I broke up with him, but he's gotten over it,

I've seen him date other girls on tour, but he broke up with them, trust me, he doesn't like me." Spitfire said.

"You, and Soarin had a history?!" Rainbow yelled quiet enough so only her and Spit could hear.

Spitfire nodded.

"Yea, but maybe we should go out into the garden, it's empty, and," She coughed "Quieter." Spitfire said

Rainbow dash muted herself to hear the background noise and galloped to the garden. On her way she eye balled Soarin one last time.

"So..." Rainbow said.

"Rainbow dash, do you, or do you not have a crush on Soarin?" Spit yelled.

"U hum, Spitfire, I like him, but not THAT much." Rainbow said. "Besides, isn't there some sort of policy that wonderbolts can't be seeing each other because it distracts them from flying?" Rainbow continued.

"Well uh, no, that law was lifted." Spitfire said. "being the captain and all, I diminished this rule because A) I could see Soarin and B) too many amazing fliers were quitting because they weren't allowed to date the ones they love who were also wonderbolts, so, I lifted the rule and banished it longer than Celestia banished Sombra."

"Oh" Rainbow said. "So... it's ok if I admire Soarin?"

Spitfire returned a nod as a answer.

"Ok then." Rainbow said. "Well, this is awkward..."

Spitfire spoke up "Wanna get a meal after, I know this amazing place that gives wonerbolts half off, wanna join me?"

"Sure." Rainbow shrugged, flying next to the orange pegasus pony.

Soarin saw the two pegasi leave and thought to himself. I didn't even get to TALK to Rainbow..

The two wonderbolts landed in front of the local Hayburgers. Rainbow put on a confused look to the pegasus pony next to her. Spitfire got the message and walked inside, Rainbow following confused and unsure. The two ponies were shocked at how empty Hayburgers was, especially at this time. Spitfire walked up to the pony running the orders and cash register and spoke.

"Hmm, I'll get the garden salad, ranch dressing, and Rainbow what do you want?"

Rainbow replied with a simple "Same thing as you,"

"Ok then." said Spitfire "2 garden salads with ranch dressing."

"Is that all?" said the stand pony.

"That's all I want, Rainbow?"

"Hmm, maybe I'll have some soda."

The cash pony added that to the list.

"So, 2 garden salads with ranch dressing, and 1 bottle of soda, correct?" said the cash pony.

Spitfire gave a nod, and so did Rainbow. Before they knew it, there food was in front of them. Spitfire flashed their wonderbolt ID's in front of the cash pony's face, and, with a nod, the cash pony got the message.

"That'll be 6 bits." said the cash pony. Spitfire tossed the bits to her and walked out of the restaurant with Rainbow.

Both ponies ate their food while walking on the streets made out of cloud in cloudsdale. After a while, Rainbow spoke.

"I thought you said it was half off in that place!" Rainbow yelled out to Spitfire."

"It is, I showed her the ID's, it's originally 12 bits for that stuff." Spitfire replied. "Well Rainbow, I'm gonna hit the hay, good night, see you in the morning."

Spitfire called out before darting away towards her home. Rainbow dash let out a yawn.

"Guess it's time for me to hit the hay as well."

Celestia's morning sun rose over the land, causing Rainbow Dash to wake up quickly. Rainbow got out of bed, ate an apple, and darted towards the academy. She was the 10th out of 14 ponies to arrive, not bad, but not exactly good. She was REALLY excited for today because it was the day the colts and fillies from Junior Speedsters flight camp were coming. Rainbow was ecstatic about their visit because she was once in this camp, and she remembered as a young filly meeting a lovely wonderbolt here. That's what first clicked her to start going to their performances. and now, she wanted to share the feeling. Huh, maybe I'M the element on generosity she thought. She looked up towards the sky and saw a crowd of about 14 foals flying their way. Rainbow noticed one filly who was extremely fast, she wanted to mentor that one, but then she saw a filly who could barely keep her hooves off the ground, now, this reminded her of her friend Fluttershy when SHE was a filly, so now she wanted to mentor that one. Before she knew it, all her team members and all the Junior Speedsters were there. The instructor spoke up

"Now foals, find a mentor." Mrs.Speedsters said.

6 buddies flew over to Spitfire and 4 to Rainbow. So that left 4 foals and 12 team members. All the foals then let go of Rainbow and Spitfire to go find other members. The only 3 ponies who didn't have a foal were Rainbow, Soarin, and Misty Fly. Soarin found a colt who he mentored so now all that was left was Misty and Rainbow. Rainbow noticed the weak pegasus hiding behind Mrs.Speedsters. She approached her and introduced herself.

"Hi, my names.."

"Rainbow dash.." said the cyan blue eyed filly.

Rainbow looked shocked "You're a fan?"

The light green filly with yellow and violet hair looked up. "Mhm." "Possibly the biggest." "My name's Lightning Orchid."

"Well Lightning Orchid, how would YOU like me to be your mentor?"

Lightning Orchid burst into a smile "Really!?"

Rainbow nodded. The filly burst up excidedly.

"OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH!" Lightning burst out.

Rainbow chuckled. Like mentor like flyer. "So Lightning, let's get started on flapping your wings fast enough to fly higher and more stable."

Lightning smiled toward the rainbow maned wonderbolt and fluttered her wings. This would be the best day of the filly's life. Her saddlebag dropped showing off her cutie mark. 3 orchids with 1 lightning bolt on each orchid flower representing her name and her lightning quick ability to tend to gardens.

I really wanted to get a chance to write this. There will be more chapters, and this will be the first story towards a AU I am creating. Oh and BTW Lightning Orchid is one of my OC's, actually, it's my OC's (Harmonic Brush)'s younger sister.
