Preparations

~This takes a month after the events in A cloudsdale date, enjoy.~ A cloudsdale Wedding

~Harmonic Brush~

Rainbow Dash has been engaged to Soarin for a month but hasn't even told her friends yet.

"So Rain, did you tell your friends yet?"

"No, but they're having a picnic this afternoon and I want you to come. That way you can be there when I tell them, besides me friends are all bring their special someponies, or in Fluttershy's case special somedraconiqui, and in Applejack's case special somedragon."

"Ok, I'd love to come honey."

Rainbow Dash grinned. She hasn't been called honey before, she always thought is was sappier than sap, but from Soarin's mouth, it felt, natural.

The afternoon

Pinkie hopped around carrying the picnic basket in her mouth. She was also holding on to Cheese Sandwich, who she had now been dating for 9 months.

"It's our 9 month-i-versery cheese!"

"I know it is Pinkie!"

Behind the energetic couple was Applejack carrying her dragonfriend Spike, whom she has been dating for 4 months.

Behind them was the royal couple~ a royal guard and royalty who have been dating for 4 years.

Fluttershy and Discord, the 4 and a half years, but still dating, were holding hooves and paws.

Lastly came Rarity and Fancy pants, holding hooves, who have been dating for 2 years, off, and then 1 year again.

They all set up and noticed something was off.

"Hey, where's Rainbow Dash?" Twilight asked, receiving a shrug or I don't know from the other ponies.

Behind the door of RD's cloud house, was Soarin struggling to get his Bride-to-be out the door.

"C,mon Rain, were gonna be late."

"I JUST CAN'T TELL THEM!"

"It'll be fine, lets just go!"

"Ok, fine."

Rainbow Dash was sweating like a hog as she walked out the door.

Soarin's comforting smile encouraged her to go forward.

"Oh look, there's Pinkie, that's the picnic, c,mon Soarin!"

"Wait up!"

The two lovepegasi were racing towards the picnic, they both tied, but didn't wanna admit it.

"I WON!" Rainbow yelled.

"Such a lie! I WON!"

"You tied!" Pinkie energetically burst out.

"Fine." Rainbow said.

"Howde Rainbow!"

"Hey Applejack."

"Hi Rainbow!"

"Hey Twilight!"

"Hi..Rainbow..Dash.."

"Hey Fluttershy."

"Rainbow Dash, darling."

"Hi Rarity."

"I have a question to ask that may be a little personal but.." Rarity asked. "How is your relationship with Soarin?"

Rainbow Dash's ears perked up at that question, she wanted to dart away, but Soarin put a hoof on her back, and shot her a facial expression saying It's time to tell them.

"Well, actually, that is, um.."

"Yes?" the 10 ponies asked in unison.

"were....were...engaged."

The 10 ponies gasped, then stomped their hooves.

"When?" Applejack asked.

"About a month ago, but I was too nervous to tell you."

"It's ok Rainbow Dash, I understand nerves."

"I know you do, Fluttershy."

"May we see the ring, darling?" Rarity asked.

"Sure." Rainbow Dash said.

She showed out her hoof to reveal the 7 carrot rainbow-coloured diamond. All her friends gasped at the sight of the big beautiful diamond. Rarity's eyes were in astonishment. She has been with jewellery before, but none as glorious as this.

"It's..it's beautiful darling."

"I had a similar reaction, Rarity." Rainbow Dash replied.

"I got it custom made for her." Soarin added.

"Where did you give it to her?" Twilight asked.

"The place we first kissed." Soarin replied. He then whispered to Twilight. "You're ok with this, right?"

Twilight whispered back. "Of course, I've been with Flash for 4 years.

"Soarin even got the wonderbolts team to spell out Will you marry me Rainbow Dash out in clouds.

"Awesome!" Spike replied.

"Now can we eat already, I'm starving." Rainbow replied.

"That's my girl." Soarin said, nudging her in the side. She gave a chuckle in response.

They had hay fries and oat burgers. Rainbow Dash had an extra apple and sandwich.

"So, Twilight, how are things with Flash?" Rainbow asked.

"They're great! Right Flash?"

"Yup."

"Fluttershy?" Rainbow asked.

"Things are great with Discord."

Rarity looked up at him. "Was he eating paper this entire time?"

The rest of the group laughed.

"Yes." Discord replied.

"Applejack, how are things with Spike?" Rainbow asked.

"Ah think things are goin just fine, ain't it Spike?"

Spike nodded.

"Rarity things with Fancy?" Rainbow asked.

"Things are absolutely amazing with Fancy Pants, besides the on off relationship part."

"And lastly Pinkie, things with Cheese?"

"Amazing, were the super duper party pony couple!"

"The super couple in ALL OF EQUESTRIA!" Cheese replied.

Everyone at the table laughed. Soarin took Rainbow aside for a minute.

"Rainbow Dash?" He whispered.

"Yea?" She whispered back as they were both talking in whispers.

"We should get going, we've got some planning to do."

"Ok, I'll tell my friends."

After everyone stopped laughing Rainbow cut in.

"Hey guys, I'm actually gonna have to split. Soarin and I have some more planning to do."

"Ok!" Everyone said in unison.

"C,mon Soarin, race you there!"

"You're on!"

Rarity was the countdown pony.

"1.." Rarity began. "2.." She continued. "3!"

And both pegasi were off in a heartbeat. They were facing the air. Both determined to win, even though Rainbow didn't want to admit it, Soarin won by a foot. She. Hated. Losing. So she decided to congratulate him.

"Nice job, you actually won."

"Of course I did, I got the most beautiful bride in Equestria."

"I mean you won the race." Rainbow said blushing.

"Oh yea, that too."

The lovepegasi laughed as they walked into their home. Rainbow noticed Lightning Streak inside her house waiting for them with an angry and evil face on. He gave a sly, evil grin as he yelled out to her.

"I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE, YOU, YOU, RAINBOW DASH! YOU TOO SOARIN!"

As soon as he flew out Rainbow felt shattered. She had been yelled at before, but not as harsh and not as unexpected as that. She grabbed Soarin and cuddled in his fur to feel better. She started to sob but then found herself kissing Soarin, suddenly, she felt better.

"Thanks Soarin."

"It's ok, Lightning's got a mental problem."

Both laughed but Rainbow still felt unsafe.

"Are you sure we're gonna be fine."

"Even if he does come after us Rain, we'll be fine. It'll all work out in the end, trust me."

"You sure?"

"I'm sure. Now let's get planning!" He said as he pulled up two seats and the wedding planning sheet they had been working on.

"Him and Rainbow sure are a strong couple." Twilight stated as all the friend's packed up the picnic.

"Oh, Ah bet him and Rainbow will be the best pegasi couple." Applejack said.

"Hey!" She received from Fluttershy, Discord, Twilight and Flash.

"What? Ah said pegasi." She pointed at Fluttershy and Discord. "Pegasus and Draconeques." They both shrugged. Then she pointed at Twilight and Flash. "Pegasus and Alicorn."

"True." Flash stated.

"When ah said pegasi, I meant both were FULL pegasi, no horn, no cloven hoof, bat wing, snake claw, lion paw and snake tail."

"Oh." Discord said.

"Ooh, I'll bet she raises a darling family." Rarity said.

Everyone stared at her.

"What? It could happen."

"Well Flash, I'm gonna go check on the lovepegasi, wanna come?" Twilight asked.

"Sure!"

And those two were off towards Rainbow's home.

"Ok, and Spitfire and Fleetfoot will sit there." Rainbow said pointing to the second row seats. "Silver Lining, wave chill, Misty Fly and Fire streak behind them."

Rainbow Dash heard a knock at the door.

"I'll get it." Soarin said.

Soarin cantered towards the door. He opened it to reveal Twilight and Flash.

"Hey Twilight, Hey Flash."

"Hey." The two said in unison.

"We wanted to see how the prep was going, and wanted to see if we could help!" Twilight offered.

"Sure, we could use some help. Rain, Twilight and Flash are gonna help!"

"Ok, we need all the help we can get!"

Soarin let the two in and showed them two seats.

"Do you guys want anything to drink?" He offered.

"Hmm..that depends.... do you have any punch?" Twilight asked.

"Grape and raspberry." Rainbow replied.

"I'll have grape." Twilight answered.

"Raspberry for me!" Flash said.

As Soarin was pouring the punches for the Sparkle-sentry couple, Rainbow Dash asked a question.

"Hey Soarin! Where should we sit Surprise?"

"Row 4!"

"Ok!"

"You and Rainbow sure have been busy, what do you want us to do, anything?" Twilight offered.

"Well, we could use some help with the invitations. We know everyone were inviting, so just make them following this one and tell them what seat they're sitting in, me and Rainbow are just finishing up with that part." Soarin said handing them the example invitation.

"Ok, Flash, got all that?"

"Mhm."

"Ok, let's get to work."
