"Rainbow Dash?"

"Yea Soarin?"

"I've gotta go out."

"Where are you going?"

"To get the rings for the wedding, don't worry, I know what I'm doing."

"Ok, just be back in an hour."

"Got it Rain, see ya."

"Bye."

"Bye."

The door of her house closed. Rainbow Dash looked outside to see Soarin fly off in the direction of the jewellery store. She got up and ate an apple for breakfast. She walked into her library filled of daring do books which Soarin never entered. She knew this was a good place to keep her wedding dress, so Soarin wouldn't see it. She touched the fabric once more and stars filled her eyes.

This is happening. It really is.. Rainbow thought.

She walked outside and flew up a few feet before being pulled to the ground.

"Huh?" Rainbow questioned.

"Hello there RAINBOW DASH!" said a crazy blue face with yellow hair.

"Lightning Streak?!"

"Yes, IT'S ME! I SAID I WOULD GET MY REVENGE AND I AM NOW!"

"What are you gonna do?"

"But of course, tie you up, hide you, and poor little Soarin will think twice about marrying you."

Soarin wasn't kidding when he said Lightning had a mental problem Rainbow thought.

Rainbow Dash thought of the first thing that came to mind.

"HEL-" She started but couldn't finish after Lightning smacked her in the face.

"Scream one more time and I'll hurt you even more." Lightning said.

Rainbow Dash just nodded.

Soarin was about to enter the jewellery store when he heard a scream. It sounded like somepony was crying for help, somepony like Rainbow. His ears twitched.

"Rainbow Dash!" Soarin yelled.

He flew at his fastest pace towards her house. When he was just a couple meters away he saw Lightning tying up Rainbow Dash.

"LIGHTNING STREAK!" He yelled at the top of his lungs.

Lightning turned his head in the sound of the stallion's voice.

"Ah Soarin, just the stallion I've been waiting for, care to see how this ends?"

"How what ends?"

"Rainbow Dash, of course."

Rainbow eyes widened in fear as she shot Soarin a glare saying help me.

As Soarin started cantering closer to Rainbow Dash, Lightning pulled out a hammer.

"Step any closer and the mare gets it!" Lightning yelled.

Soarin flew backwards in fear of hurting Rainbow Dash.

"Finally, after the long time I've waited, I'll finally get my revenge on Rainbow Dash! MWHAHAHAHA!"

In all his evil laughing he didn't see Soarin fly silently towards Rainbow Dash and untie her. He snapped out of his trance when Soarin grabbed the hammer out of his hooves.

"And that revenge will have to wait." Rainbow said.

"But it WILL COME!" Lightning said as he stormed off.

"Phew, that was a close one, are you ok Rainbow?"

"I'm fine thanks to you."

"Well your welcome, a job as a husband means taking care of the wife, not only being sweet, but being there when she needs him."

Rainbow Dash flung her hooves around Soarin's neck.

"Oh thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you so much Soarin, and if I didn't make it clear THANK YOU!" Rainbow yelled.

"Your welcome. It was no big deal."

"No big deal. NO BIG DEAL?! If it weren't for you I would've been dead, by the way, how did you know I was in trouble?"

"Ears twitched, heard you scream."

"Ooh, like Pinkie or Cheesy sense."

"Kinda, but specified to you."

"Cool, anyway, the wedding's in a month, and you still haven't answered my question."

"What question?"

"What do you mean by you hope the wedding happens."

"Well, you see." Soarin began rubbing the back of his neck. "Lightning Streak, he broke through earlier than expected, but he might strike back during the wedding."

"Oh." Rainbow said as a frown spread across her face.

"Don't worry, take my word for it, it'll all work out."

"Ok. Fine. Whatever."

"C,mon, where's that smile?"

"Lightning Streak took it away."

"Sweetheart, don't worry."

"Ok, I won't." She lied as she put on a fake smile.

"That's better, now, I need some rings to buy, you coming?"

"Me?"

"Well, I don't want a crazy maniac coming after you."

"Ok." This time she actually smiled.

"Race you there. 1..2..3..GO!"

And both pegasi were off, towards the ring store.

"Ooh, I like that one." Soarin said pointing at a gold ring.

"Nah, I prefer this one." Rainbow said pointing to a gold one with silver decorations.

"How about you both settle on this one." The ring pony said holding out 2 gold rings with diamonds encrusted in them. "I'll give you a sale price, since wonderbolts and saving the world don't get discounted here."

"Ok, can you let us discuss it?" Soarin asked.

"Surely."

Soarin turned over to Rainbow Dash and whispered to her.

"Rainbow Dash, we should take it."

"Ok."

Soarin turned to the ring pony.

"We'll take it."

"Excellent choice, that will be 125 bits please."

Soarin grabbed the bag of bits out of his pocket and gave the bits to the cash pony. The cash pony counted and gave them the rings.

"Have a nice day." The ring pony and the cash pony said in unison.

"You too!" Rainbow Dash and Soarin said in unison.

"Well, let's go." Rainbow said.

"Of course." Soarin replied.

I really wanted to expand on Lightning's mental problem as some of you may know of from my previous story (I think) and there is a bit of foreshadowing going on here. Hope you enjoy!
