The Loneliness of Business
New Found Feelings (Safe version)
Previous ChapterNext ChapterShe stood there motionless, staring at the glossy, wooden texturing of the door. Was she right? Was Steel Hoof, in love with her? She took a step back, she had never felt so certain about something like this in her life. Was this what it was supposed to feel like? That feeling of uncertainty, deep in her stomach. But something Strong, that was deep inside of her was telling her otherwise. She had feelings for him as-well, that had just recently broken through her concrete shell of a soul. In that very instant over a thousand questions filled her head. What if she was wrong? What if he didn't feel the same way? How would she take it if he were to reject her feelings? She took a deep breath and went back to her chair. Sat down and continued looking out the window.
She was in love.
Steel Hoof, continued walking down the hall way from the way he previously came. A large blush on his face, but thanks to his red fur it was very hard to notice. After a minute of walking he reached his office, it was the same type of office Ms.Harshwhinny had, except it was on the opposite side of the building with a view of the harbor. he leaned up against the door and thought to himself. Why did he have feelings for his boss? he walked over and sat at his desk, Blushing deeply to the thoughts coursing through his head.
"if there was some way i could tell her how i felt..." he said quietly.
The wall clock read 8:30, it was long past the clock out time for most of the workers in the building. she finished writing a report on her desk before she started packing up. Once she was done packing up, she got up and opened the door to her office. As she turned out the lights she marveled at the Manehattan skyline outside her window, slightly illuminating the office. She remembered that there was one other worker on the same floor as her, that was still supposed to be working at the same time as her.
"Steel..." she said under her breath.
She walked out of her office and down the hall, each step feeling like concrete. a few minuets later, Ms. Harshwhinny stood in front Steel's door, hesitating to knock. she had suddenly lost the courage to do what she had been thinking all day, of doing.
Steel had just finished packing up and opened the door to his office. He never would have expected, Ms.Harshwhinny to be standing there, with her right hand up to where the door was, as if she was about to knock. the two of them blushed and quickly averted eyes.
"Didn't expect to still see you here Ms. Harshwhinny," steel said scratching the back of his head."Nether did I, Mr. Hoof," She said while adjusting the bottom of her jacket.
The two stood there for what felt like hours but was only minutes, nether of them spoke, until Steel broke the silence.
"Uh... there has been something i wanted to tell you, Ms. Harshwhinny. Something i always wanted to say since my first day of employment," Steel's blush intensified, making itself visible past his red fur.
Ms. Harshwhinny looked up at him, and if by chance there eyes met. they unconsciously stared into each others eyes.
Steel was speechless as he stared into her angelic blue eyes, all shyness leaving his body with that instant.
"Ms.Harshwhinny....I've always kinda liked you, ever since my first day here, i always thought you were the most beautiful mare i have ever set eyes on," Steel said, "I love you Ms. Harshwhinny," steel said with passion in his voice.
Ms. Harshwhinny, just stood there staring into his golden eyes. She quickly wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately. Steel slowly returning the kiss, while wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her close to his body. The two stood there, lost in each others embrace, Ms. Harshwhinny slowly broke the kiss and stared into his eyes once more.
"I love you Steel."
