The Mom Son Saga - Rainbow Dash
It was a warm morning on the Ponyville outskirts, summer on its final retreat, but not going out without a fight. The season change meant that it was Soarin’s turn to go on the Wonderbolts’s tour, and Rainbow’s to take care of little Chromatic Bolt. A very unorthodox system, yes, but one that had worked perfectly for them so far, as neither one wanted to leave their positions on the Wonderbolts, and taking the kid on tours was simply no good, for them or the little child. Spitfire had helped them decide on this system after hearing much arguing about how the baby was already flying up a storm and could spice up those old fashioned Wonderbolts’s routines and how travelling all over the world would make him so much smarter and cultured and open to all sorts of ideas. None of this really convinced her in the slightest, and it was in fact something she had already planned months back after the many arguments with a pregnant and still extremely eager to fly Rainbow Dash.
Though the Legendary Trio’s positions (as the trio of Soarin, Spitfire and Rainbow Dash had become known as) were no longer of active members per se, they still made appearances in big shows, and traveled with the new and current members of the Wonderbolt roster, acting as field leaders and teachers of the rookie squads, with Spitfire still being full time and Soarin and Rainbow taking rotating turns to help Spitfire deal with the cocky prospects.
Rainbow and Soarin had just spent a wonderful week together, taking full advantage of the short downtime in shows the week of the season change gave them. Considering how each of them went on long tours which would more often than not leave them without seeing each other for a few weeks at a time, they spent those precious moments together either enjoying flies around town, random post marriage dating (an idea by Pinkie Pie) or spending time as mother and father to Chromatic Bolt, something he enjoyed more than anything, but tried his hardest not to let it show, as the dumb kid that he was.
The loving couple had spent this last day together the whole 24 hours, pampering little Bolt, meeting up with Rainbow’s friends and their kids, having one last fly off causing only minimal damage to Ponyville’s buildings, and then skipping going to sleep, keeping the night alive with long talks about whatever, be it the recent weather or about their dreams and hopes, spots of kissing and cuddling and the grand finale, a walk around town on the wee hours of morning. As 6 A.M. neared and Soarin’s train entered Ponyville’s station, there was a very heartfelt goodbye, with no tears but lots of hugging and kissing, making everyone around them a bit uncomfortable. Public displays of affection or the stares of the public had never bothered either of them, but seeing kids staring at them with their mouth open only to have their eyes covered by mothers with very indignant looks and heavy blushes on them, and various lonely bystanders unsubtly taking longing glances at either member of the couple convinced them both to separate. Rainbow saluted as a last goodbye to Soarin, who replied with one of his own through the window.
That would not be the final goodbye though, as she suddenly decided to keep up with the train for a while, making faces and small pirouettes besides Soarin’s window until he sent her off by opening the window and giving her a last kiss. One that would have to last at least a month, as the Wonderbolts’s touring schedule would take him off the country.
Rainbow kept hovering in place beside the train tracks for a while, until it dawned on her that it was probably already around 8 am. Nearly jumping off of her skin she flew at full speed to her home.
Of course little Chromatic Bolt was still asleep, without a care in the world. Probably dreaming of the race he kept mentioning at the dinners table every evening this past week. It had taken Rainbow an embarrassingly long time to realize he was talking about the Fall of the Leaves, which had opened up a branch for younger competitors to run separated from the adults, as some of the more competitive members of the race did sometimes not mind their manners too much when attempting to snatch the win off of one of their closest friends who also happened to be one of their biggest rivals, Applejack and Rainbow Dash.
The memory of getting the news straight from Twilight’s mouth still made both AJ and Rainbow giggle. Both of them mothers, with more than a few years on their backs and a bit off their prime (though they would never ever admit it), and still competing as fiercely as that first year. No pony in the last twenty years had been able to snatch first place off of them, and this very year both of them had agreed to retire as (mostly) unbeaten champions of the competitive aspect of the Fall of the Leaves race, and upon their announcement to the rest of their friends they had to endure Twilight’s annoyed whinnies, as she revealed she had the young branch of the falling leaves planned for this year to be ran before the Fall of the Leaves race proper. After having a small laugh at Twi’s expense, AJ and Rainbow looked at each other, cracking a smile and bumped their right fists. It was time for their kids to keep the rivalry going.
Rainbow had heard from Soarin that Chrom Bolt had been training for the last few weeks rather intensely alongside Amethyst Apple. It also seemed that they were far wiser than their parents, as they had agreed that whoever cheated immediately forfeited the race, and would also be the winners’ slave for a month. Whether that meant that the cheating would be fiercer than ever or nonexistent was yet to be seen.
It seemed that Chromatic Bolt’s dream was very vivid, with him thrashing, tossing and turning wildly beneath the cloudy covers of his bed. Rainbow stood at the doorframe looking at him with a smile on her face. She liked her kid a whole lot (her code for loving him more than anything in the world), and just seeing him was usually enough to make her do that rare honest happiness smile, rather than her usual confidence fueled one.
-Well, time to wake him up- she suddenly decided. He was already gonna be late for school, but he shouldn’t be later than an hour. That would just be bad form.
Punching a hole in the cloud wall to let the sunshine in, and grabbing the thin cloud that he called bedding with a firm grip and as she yanked it with all her might she yelled:
“GOOD MORNING CHROMATIC BOLT! YOU’RE ALREADY LATE SO…”
… So apparently Chromatic had taken up sleeping in the nude this last month, news to her. The sight stunned her a little bit, probably cause of the morning wood Chromatic Bolt was sporting.
It dawned on her that she hadn’t seen Chromatic Bolt naked in a few months. As he gained in years his modesty also grew, and showering with the family and going around naked in the house, as both Soarin and Rainbow did sometimes, stopped happening. Her kid had grown a fair bit since her last visit, something she had somehow missed this past week with him and Soarin, probably because of the distraction her husband generated.
“MOOOOOM” Chromatic Bolt yelled, desperately hunting for cover to shield himself from the sun.
Amused at the sight, Rainbow held the cloud bedding high above her head with one hand while resting her index finger at his nose:
“Now now now, little Bolt, go shower quickly and I’ll have breakfast for you when you’re ready” she chuckled.
“Five more minutes! Please!!!” Chromatic Bolt pleaded, now standing on the mattress to get closer to his mom’s right hand.
Dashie was too amused to get mad at him dodging his responsibilities, and kept the game going for a little.
“Oh, but you’ve already slept more than half an hour from your normal wake up time, haven’t you?” she said as she took a few steps back “now go take a shower you lazy butt!”
“C’mon mom!” Chromatic Bolt said, taking a few steps on the mattress, making his dick bounce up a storm, something that caught Dashie’s attention, and then her lowered gaze caught Bolt’s attention.
“Oh.”
Then the blushing started.
And boy oh boy did the blushing start. Chromatic Bolt’s face turned a shining red, as he turned around and covered his crotch with his whole body.
“Sorry sorry sorry sorry I forgot I was sleeping naked it was dad’s idea sorry sorry sorry it’s been so hot these past few days sorry sorry sorry sorry…”
“Whoa, calm down kid” Rainbow was a bit surprised at his reaction “It’s nothing I haven’t seen before, you know?”
“Sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry” his whirlwind apology continued
“Urgh.” Rainbow loved her kid a whole lot, but she was never too good at dealing with these moments of nervousness Chromatic Bolt got when he felt guilty. “Hey kid, calm down. Stop apologizing, you don’t see me angry or anything.”
“Sorry sorry sorry sorry…”
-Sigh- “Look here kid.” Rainbow said taking a few steps towards Chromatic Bolt, sitting beside him and taking his face in her hand. “You don’t need to apologize for anything. You’ve done nothing wrong these past few hours other than oversleeping a bit, and hey, all this situation is my fault for just storming into your room. And let me give you some element of harmony wisdom here: Save your apologies for when they are warranted, otherwise the words will lose their weight.”
Chromatic Bolt half hugged his mom and started breathing deeper and slower “Wow mom that was very profound. Did aunt Twilight teach you that?” he said, his whole body relaxing and with a small smile on his face.
“Can’t you give me some credit for once squirt?” Rainbow joked, very glad that her kid was feeling better again. “Now please go take a shower, I’ll fly you to school so you aren’t even later than you already are.”
“You’re the most awesome mom in the world!” Chromatic Bolt happily said as he turned to hug his mom with all his strength, hitting her stomach with his boner.
“Whoa kid, you may want to take care of that before you poke someone’s eye out.” Rainbow giggled nervously. She was ok with nudity, sure, but getting hit by a dick other than her husbands was a bit off her comfort zone.
“Oh. Sorry mom. I’ll go take a cold shower now I guess.” Chromatic Bolt said looking a lot more down than before.
“Whoa there kid, it’s not like you have to take a cold shower, you can always… you know.” Rainbow said, suddenly sheepish.
“Can what?”
Oh boy. “Ok Bolt, this can wait. For now go take a shower and I’ll cook something up for breakfast and take you school.”
“Sure thing mom!” Chromatic Bolt said, full of cheer again as he jumped off the bed making his erection jump all over the place again. Rainbow started to feel a bit guilty at how much her son’s dick commanded her attention at this point.
It wasn’t anything remotely sexual, it was something more than that. Seeing her kid all grown up was a very powerful experience. Sure, he would keep living at home for a few years more at the least but seeing the boy she changed the diapers off and took to the doctor on countless occasions because of the spectacular falls he’d take trying to imitate his parents with an erection was like seeing him grow up to a whole new phase of his life in just a few seconds. Soon his kid would spend a lot more time in the bathroom, would start bringing in dates through the door and would eventually find somebody to never let go of. And that meant she had to give him the talk.
The prospect didn’t exactly make Rainbow cheer in joy, though she knew it had to be done, the sooner the better.
But that would be future Rainbow’s problem. Present Rainbow had to make her growing boy breakfast and stretch a bit to keep the flight to the school as short as possible.
After “cooking” something rather quickly (milk and eggs on toast) she started her stretching exercises using the kitchen table as support. As she was finishing her routine she noticed Chromatic Bolt standing in the doorway with a thousand mile stare on his face.
“Heeeeyyy! Earth to Chromatic Bolt! Eat and then we’re off!”
That seemed enough to wake him up, as he darted to the table, shoving most of the food on his mouth prompting him to say “Rfffdy mffm.” with an expression on his face that some would have called a radiant smile and others the most uncouth thing to be seen this past decade on Ponyville.
“Ok then squirt” Dash half said half laughing after rolling her eyes “Assume riding position!”
“Roger!” Bolt said, sitting on her mom’s back and grabbing her shoulders.
“Care to give me a countdown?”
“5…”
“TAKEOFF!” Rainbow yelled and blasted off of her kitchen smashing one of her cloud walls. They had both done that exchange innumerable times but it never ceased to
amuse either of them.
Both had flown the route from Rainbow’s to the school loads of times, but today’s was different for two reasons. The first one, Chromatic Bolt had some toast still on his mouth at the moment of takeoff, but it disappeared into the ether as Rainbow hit Mach 1. The second one, Rainbow couldn’t help but feel his son’s penis pressing on her back. She was dressed with her standard casual get up of short shorts and a tiny shirt, which was barely more than a bra. She kept telling her friends that it was way more comfortable for training and practicing, and while it was mostly true, it was also because Soarin loved that attire on her. Rainbow guessed judging by the pressure and throbbing that her son also liked it.
At this point Rainbow was very surprised by how ok she was taking this situation. She didn’t know what a normal response to feeling your kid’s boner on your back was, but she doubted it involved not caring much about it. –I suppose I’m still quite the looker- Rainbow thought without focusing too hard on the fly route –I do exercise a lot and eat well after all!-
Rainbow was indeed still quite gorgeous. For someone nearing their fortieth birthday she looked like a twenty year old. The heaps of exercising she did combined with an unmatched natural hotness (something that annoyed Rarity to no end) kept her as one of Ponyville’s best looking girls. Not even the hardships of maternity had dented her outstanding looks like her other friends, some of which had to take special regimes to regain their shape, as Rarity kept reminding them. –That girl is crazy. Not even I could do so many squats a day-. Rainbow remembered. Flying was great exercise on its own, but of course not everyone could do it. Hard to believe she had never thought about it. Sure, Dash stretched before each session, but as she paid special attention to how hard the strain on her muscles was, she started feeling how her slender legs felt like they were stretching due to the air hitting on them (and probably because of how fast she was going maybe), how her hard butt got hit by the air currents that her son let past, how her B-cups took on quite the hit themselves, even though the shirt she wore was specially designed to cut on air resistance. Hair flying all over, tickling her Bolt on the face. And then of course there was the feeling of Chromatic’s arms around her chest and of his legs gripping her waist. He seemed to be stiffer than usual today. –Maybe he’s trying to hide his boner? - Rainbow thought. If that was the case, he was doing a horrid job at it, as she could feel every pulsation on it caused by the beat of his heart.
She didn’t have that much time to think about it anyways, as they arrived to school on record time, making Chromatic Bolt only fifty minutes late to the class.
A kiss in the cheek and a “Behave.” warning later Rainbow shot back home, with a lots of things to ponder her mind. The flight home was very fast, but it gave her some time to think about the recent events.
-Ok, so Bolt is entering puberty. That boner must be one of his first ones if he didn’t know what to do with it. Still, he tried to cover up, didn’t he? Was it just because of the embarrassment or did he know you’re not supposed to go showing your boner to people, even at home? He has been acting shyer than usual for a few months now. I guess he didn’t want me seeing him like that? That’s normal sounding enough…-
She arrived home and started the rebuilding of the walls she had destroyed that morning.
-What should I do? I could wait for Soarin to come back and tell him to give Bolt the talk. But he will be back in what, a month? That’s too long. I could always just give him the talk myself. No biggie. “Chromatic Bolt, you put your penis in a girl’s vagina and cum outside unless you want a kid”. Perfect. Parent of the year right there. Ugh…-
BEEP. BEEP.
“Whoa what the what!” Rainbow yelled at the empty house. “Who’s making that noise?” She yelled menacingly, taking a faux karate stance.
BEEP. BEEP.
Rainbow looked at the source of the racket. It was a bird on one of her windows. She quickly recognized it as one of Fluttershy’s birds.
Dash hit her forehead. –Of course. First day back, I go meet Flutters at her cottage. Why did she send a bird to get me though? I mean it’s not like…. it’s…. noon. Did I just spend three hours thinking?-
“Sorry Fluttershy. Lost track of time” She said a few minutes later.
“Oh, it’s ok Rainbow. I’m sure you got caught up in something big.”
“Yeah, you could say that.” Rainbow replied, then realized what she said. Then realized she hadn’t even reviewed the events of that morning on her head. Her son was, indeed, big.
“Is everything alright Rainbow? You’re getting red in the face. Oh my goodness, are you sick?” The timid one said, genuinely concerned about her friend’s health.
“No no no no no it’s ok. I was just flying all morning, you know. Should you even be out and about all pregnant? I thought nurse Redheart told you rest as much as possible the last couple of months.” The brash one said, two thirds concerned about her health, one third trying to change the course of the conversation.
“Oh don’t you worry, Rainbow, I can still go out and even fly for a bit. Besides, the first one was a lot harder to carry.”
“That was so long ago now” Rainbow replied with a giggle. “I recall Discord didn’t leave your side at all. I’ll never forget your or Twilight’s faces after he told Celestia to go put a cork in it when she called him to help save Equestria.“
“Well, it was his first child too. If he was the mommy I would have never left his side either” Fluttershy replied with a spark in her eye. Reliving that memory was something that never got old to her. “Do you want tea or anything Rainbow? We have lots to catch up on I bet!”
“Sure thing Fluttershy.”
The Mom Son Saga - Rainbow Dash
Chromatic Bolt was having a rough day at school. Not only did he arrive almost an hour late to class, which meant that as soon as he went through the classroom door he would be laughed at, but his penis had also stayed very hard since the morning. He had heard his mom and didn’t bother taking a cold shower to make it go down, but he had been thinking through this whole morning that maybe he should have. Seeing mom doing those stretches had not helped his condition either. He wasn’t sure why, but as he stared at her doing her exercises his dick started feeling different than normally, pulsating and sort of tickling him, but not really. It was an odd feeling that he didn’t quite understand. It had stayed that way since then through the whole flight to school and until now, in front of the classroom entrance door. He was fortunately wearing clothes that covered it up well, much to Bolt’s relief. Sure, mom may have said that it was ok, but he assumed it meant that it was ok at home, not anywhere else, judging by the fact that nobody went around showing their penis.
“Well… best foot forward I guess.” he muttered to himself as he started opening the door.
“… and that is why parasprites are to be reported on sight… OH, if it isn’t Mister Chromatic Bolt. A whole hour late. I’ll be calling your home to inform them of this.” The teacher issued his standard threat. It didn’t really bother Bolt too much, since his mom already knew and all, but she would be mad he spent another ten minutes lost in his thoughts before making it into the classroom.
“Sorry Mister Noodles. Won’t happen again.”
“I’m sure it will. Just take your seat.”
“Overslept again, eh Chromy?” asked Selena Pie, one of his best friends, who also happened to sit beside him.
“Yep. Overslept and then stuff happened.”
“Stuff?”
“Will tell you on recess. For now just let me copy what the teacher was saying before I got here.”
“Sure thing Chromy.”
Class progressed normally after that. While his penis kept bothering Chrom as events of the morning kept playing on his head, it eventually softened up and he was able to sit comfortably again. Unbeknownst to him, Selena was keeping him in his peripheral vision, seeing him fidget on his seat.
“So what happened?” Selena asked half a second after the recess bell rung.
“Umm…” Bolt hummed, exiting the classroom with his friend “Sooo… This morning… Before I woke up… I mean, as I was waking up…”
“Jeez Chromy, haven’t seen you this nervous since we were planning how you were gonna apologize to Aunt Twilight for breaking one of those stained walls on her castle. This surely can’t be that bad.” Selena impatiently urged him. Then her expression turned into a stiff one. ”Can it?”
The memory of how scared he was at the time left Bolt shuddering “No no no no, it’s not something bad at all. It’s just… I was sleeping and having a dream about racing with Amethyst and then…”
“Ohhhh! Don’t worry Chromy my man.” Selena cut him off, quickly getting on his side and poking him with an elbow. “I’m sure that if you ask to smooch her she wouldn’t be too opposed.”
“SHUT UP SELENA!” Bolt yelled as quietly as possible, quickly getting a fierce blush.
“Sorry, sorry. You just set it up way too easy.”
“Thing is… this dream may have involved a bit of smooching…”
“Ha! I knew it! Now Angel Song owes me five bits!” Selena cheered.
“What? Did you two bet over this?”
“One bet over if you fell for her before or after the race, and one for whoever wins.”
“Who did you bet on for winning?” Bolt asked, knowing that Selena Pie’s luck was unmatched in Ponyville.
“Not telling you now silly. That would just ruin the race for you!” Chromatic Bolt just shot a dirty look at Selena. “But don’t let me take you away from your story, Chromy. Please continue.”
“Yeah yeah. Anyways, I had fallen asleep kinda late after hanging out with mom and dad, so I overslept…”
“…About an hour more than usual, no?”
“How did you know that!?” Bolt asked rather surprised.
“Uhh, because you arrived an hour late, dodo.”
“Oh. Yeah.”
“Stop beating around the bush and tell me whatever happened Bolt! Recess is probably close to over by now!”
“You keep interrupting me!” Bolt defended himself.
“Maybe, but you still have to tell me the whole story!”
“Ok, ok. So I was dreaming, then mom stormed into the room. Guess she had a long night with dad, because she woke me up like an hour later than usual. I woke up right away, but I kept my head under the covers. When I didn’t get up, she punched the wall of my room off…”
“Wait what?”
“House made of clouds, remember?”
“Oh yeah. Still though, mom has told me stories that involve Aunt Dashie crashing through bricks and rocks.”
“Anyways, punched the wall right off, then yanked at my covers so strong I couldn’t hold on at all!” Bolt theatrically finished his story.
“And?”
“And what? That’s it! I was so embarrassed I couldn’t even look her in the eye!”
“Uhh… mhhm. I guess it’s embarrassing to have your mom yank your covers to wake you up.” Selena tried reasoning. “Though I don’t think that that really counts as “Stuff happening”.”
“Yeah, but then she sent me to shower with warm water and then she stretched to fly me here and… and…”
At this point Selena had checked out of the conversation. Chromatic Bolt was a great friend and all, but whenever his confidence faltered, he tended to get very nervous over small things and act a little silly. But then she remembered his fidgeting on the seat in class.
“Wait… when you talk about your mom… and then you got to class and you couldn’t seat comfortably…”
“What? Oh yeah. I guess I couldn’t sit properly for a minute or so when I arrived.”
Selena opened her eyes as wide as she could, mouth hanging open too. “Was… was it because of… because of your mom?”
“I guess so!” Chromatic confirmed. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
Selena Pie’s mind was working a mile a minute.
“I’m not looking at you like anything.” She replied a few seconds after Chromatic asked. “I’m just… surprised you… well, surprised that you are so open about it.”
“What do you mean? There is nothing wrong with it, is there?”
“No… I don’t think so. Unless… Chromatic Bolt, is your mom touching you?” Selena asked with a very calm and understanding voice.
“Hmm…” Chromatic wasn’t too sure he understood the question, but the change in tone in Selena’s voice made him realize that this was serious talk now. “Not more than usual. She has touched me a bit more than usual this past week, but it’s because we hadn’t seen each other for a month. This morning… I think she just put her arm around my shoulders once, then I sat on her back to fly here. Oh and she kissed me goodbye.”
“Oh. Okie dokie! I’m glad to hear you two are getting along then!” Selena quickly responded. Maybe she was just imagining things. After all, mom wouldn’t be best of friends with someone that was touching her own child.
“Did I even kiss her good morning?” Chromatic kept going, trying to remember everything about the day. “I don’t think I did. She woke me up, then I covered up, we had a talk… Oh yeah! I did hug her while we were on my bed. I poked her in the belly too! She looked very embarrassed after that.
“You did WHAT!?”
*RING*
“The bell! Aww I didn’t make time to go buy something to eat! Selly, I’m going to dash to the shop, you just go back to class!”
* * *
“… and then, and then flipping Gilda’s kid came around with mom behind him!” Rainbow managed to say through the tears streaming down her face, her jaw pretty tired from laughing too much. “Talking how he’s the fastest thing alive, and that the Wonderbolts are so lucky he’s grazing them with his presence!”
“How is Gilda doing nowadays?”
“She’s doing well. I think she stepped down as captain of the Iron Talons, but she’s still involved somehow. Anyways, little Keporus tried out for our team rather than his mom’s, and Celestia as my witness, that kid has an absurd amount of potential, even though he took a pretty nasty fall by the end.”
“Oh my goodness, is he ok?”
“I think he hurt his wing something fierce, but I’m sure you imagine what his reaction was.”
“Well, he’s Gilda’s kid, so he probably dusted himself off and walked away proudly?”
“Nope, he yelled for his mommy and cried a storm. He’s still a young kid after all.”
“Oh Celestia.” Fluttershy said with a very worried expression on her face. “Was he ok in the end Rainbow?”
“Yes he was. Gilda knows a fair bit of first aid so she fixed him up real quick. Keporus got his little Wonderbolt diploma and salute from the captains, he looked real happy too!”
“So do you think Gilda going to let him join the Wonderbolts?”
“I talked to her and I think she wanted Keporus to be the future captain of the Talons, but she’s very proud of him and will support whatever his decision is.”
“Well that’s lovely. Gilda certainly changed a lot after she came back to apologize.” Fluttershy said, remembering the good old days.
The friends were sitting outside’s Fluttershy’s cottage, which looked basically the same as the first time Dash saw it, but it now had a tower that seemed to defy gravity towering from the top of the construction, an addition Discord put to house him when he first decided to move in.
“Anyways, I best be going Flutters, it’s getting a bit late.”
“Is it? Time does fly when you’re having fun, doesn’t it?”
“It sure does Fluttershy. Thanks for taking care of Tank for the month, too.” Rainbow said, petting the tortoise in the head.
“No problem Rainbow. You do know I love taking care of any and all critters by now, don’t you?”
“I had never noticed it. See you later Flutters.” Rainbow said taking off slowly, Tank under her arm.
“Goodbye Rainbow Dash. Have a safe flight. Send my love to little Bolt!” Fluttershy said waving her friend goodbye.
As Rainbow turned around to the sky she was reminded of everything that happened that morning. -Oh yeah. Chrom. I still gotta give him the talk. I guess I should do it as soon as he arrives. No point in postponing it any longer… What am I even going to tell him? Should I be direct? Ugh, maybe I just should…-
“RAINBOW DAAAAASH!!!!”
Rainbow froze in the air and turned around to see Fluttershy, flying as fast as her baby bump let her.
“Whoa! You ain’t supposed to be flying Fluttershy!” Rainbow yelled back at her, darting to grab her friend and carry her back to the ground. “Why were you chasing after me?!” She asked, as she descended back to Fluttershy’s cottage.
“I… I’m so… I’m sorry Rainbow” Fluttershy weakly apologized, color almost nonexistent on her face.
“Shut up!” Rainbow urged her, color now going away from her face in worry. “Tell me how to call Discord now!”
“Don’t… don’t worry Rainbow… I just need to… rest for a bit…” Fluttershy said, plopping herself on the chair she was using just a couple of minutes ago.
Rainbow was extremely conflicted. On one hand, this wouldn’t be the first time Fluttershy lied about her health condition to keep her friends from worrying, but on the other hand, Fluttershy was pregnant, and there was no way she would put the slightest bit of extra stress on the baby to arrive, and if that meant not flying, admitting illness or having to take care of only a small amount of animals so she could get enough rest, then she would. Rainbow quickly decided that Fluttershy was telling the truth, and that after some rest she would be A-OK.
“Do you need anything? Water or something.”
“A… another slice of cake would be great Rainbow…” Fluttershy replied, with a small smile in her face.
“You got it Shy.” She said as she dashed to raid the fridge. “Why were you chasing me by the way? You must have remembered something big. That was a really loud yell too.”
“I did call you twice, but you were absorbed in thought I think. You didn’t even flinch until I yelled.” Fluttershy said, fork in hand and cake in reach.
“Oh… sorry Flutters.” Rainbow apologized, feeling bad about not hearing her friend the first time she called. “You still haven’t told me why you were chasing me though.”
“Of course… umm. “Fluttershy started. ”I just thought you looked troubled Rainbow Dash. That’s all.” She concluded.
“Yeahhh no.” Rainbow replied. “It must have been something big to make you fly and yell like that Fluttershy.”
“No, I mean it.” Fluttershy repeated, this time with a more firm tone on her voice. “When you turned around to leave your expression was so troubled I just had to ask you if I could help you with anything.”
Oh. “Thanks a lot Fluttershy, but this is some mom trouble, I have to deal with it myself.”
“Don’t give me that Rainbow Dash, you know you can count on me for anything. Now what is the problem? Is everything going well with Soarin? Maybe little Bolt is doing poorly in school?”
“Well…” Rainbow hesitated. “I guess I can tell you Shy. Chromatic Bolt isn’t quite little Bolt anymore. He’s becoming a man. And you know what that means…”
Fluttershy cocked her head to the side and kept an impeccable smile, clear signs that she had no idea what Rainbow was talking about.
“It means I have to give him the talk Fluttershy.”
“What talk?”
“THE talk. THAT talk.”
“You haven’t talked to little Bolt about career choices yet? It’s never too early to start planning Rainbow! I knew you were less strict with your kid but you still have to…” At that moment Rainbow took a snap decision.
“I have to talk to Chromatic about sex Flutters.”
* * *
“Ok tell me everything that happened this morning, don’t spare details this time.” Selena told Chromatic Bolt as they exited the school grounds. They hadn’t been able to talk again after the episode of the first recess, as both had to catch up with homework they had left for the last hour and after that a long essay on why keeping anything that came from the Everfree was a horrible idea, included to but not limited to animals, plants, clouds and dirt.
“Can it wait a little? I have to go meet Amethyst now.” Chromatic replied. “The Fall of the Leaves is right around the corner! We can’t afford to skip a day’s training!”
Selena had had a whole morning to think about Chromatic’s words, and she was more or less convinced his friend was perfectly fine, so asking him about the morning wasn’t an urgent matter. She was, however, extremely curious as to what had happened. “Alright. I’ll ask you when you finish your running around then.”
“Great! Will you accompany me to Sweet Apple Acres then?”
“Surely durely!”
Chromatic Bolt had had a good school day so far, and he was at peace with the events that happened the morning. Her mom had told him that it was all ok, after all. But the chats with Selena Pie and his own first instinct told him that what had happened was hardly normal. The worry in Selly’s voice still resonated in his mind. There was probably nothing normal about what had happened, and his mom had just tried to calm him down. Thinking about his mom even now made him shake a little, his chest feeling like someone was pushing in.
“Are you ok Chromy? You’ve been awfully quiet and frowny this walk.”
“Just thinking about stuff.”
“Stuff eh?”
“Yeah…”
Selena stepped right in front of Chromatic Bolt.
“Are you sure you don’t want to talk about this? Maybe, if you don’t want to talk about it with me, you should talk to my mom?”
“Selly…”
“No, maybe you really should.” Selena started, with hints of tears forming on the corners of her eyes. “You look so troubled and I want to help you but you don’t want me to help you but I still want to see you doing better but I can’t help you and maybe my mom can help you or maybe…”
Chromatic took a step forward and hugged Selena.
“It’s ok Selena. I’m really ok.” Selena hugged Chromatic back. “Nothing bad has happened. I think I’m just a bit stressed is all.”
“Are you really sure Chromy?” Selena asked, not letting go of the hug, enjoying the contact.
“I really am. Maybe I should skip training today and just head home and have a nap. I went to sleep late yesterday after all. And the day prior. And the whole rest of the week.” Chromatic said, breaking the hug and mocking a small yawn, which then turned into a real yawn. Which in turn made Selena yawn.
“We have to go tell Amethyst that you’re taking it easy today then. I’m sure she will understand.” Selena replied, with a smile on her lips and a forearm in her eyes, wiping off the tears that had formed before and then ran a bit after the yawn.
“YOU’RE SKIPPING TRAINING!?”
“Sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry!” Chromatic apologized as he darted away from Amethyst Apple’s reach as fast as he could go.
“Well, I gotta go meet Angel. Gonna get paid!” Selena said as she ran alongside Chromatic. “See you later! Don’t let her catch you!”

“Oh… my…”
“Yep. You can see why I was not looking forward to it.”
“Can’t… can’t you wait for…”
“Nope, he gets back in a month. And there’s no reason for me to take longer than this afternoon, is there?”
“But… it’s not like you can’t wait, can’t you?”
“It would drive me crazy knowing that I can help him but I’m not doing anything.”
“Help… him?”
“Well, what would you call it?”
“I guess I’d call it helping him too. It just…”
“It just what?”
“It doesn’t sound right somehow. It sounds kinda… dirty.”
“Oh! Little Fluttershy! I would have never thought you’d think so lewdly!”
“Eeep!”
“Relax girl, I’m only joking! Besides, it’s obvious you have at least one lewd bone in your body, considering you’ve been preggers twice now!”
“Meep!!”
“And getting the business from Discord no less! I’ve honestly spent a night or two thinking how he looks down there…”
*Ooph!*
“Whoa! Calm down Flutters, I’m only joking!” Rainbow said to the red forehead buried within her stomach, something Dash thought was a poor attempt at a spear maneuver.
“You’re such a meanie Rainbow Dash!” Replied the voice of Fluttershy, considerably higher sounding than usual. “Besides, how dare you tell me I’m le… lewd after the time you and Soarin were just… doing it up in the clouds above Ponyville!”
Rainbow grabbed Fluttershy’s shoulders and pushed her off of her square meter. “You… you know!?”
“I think the whole town knows! You were making so much noise!”
Rainbow turned into a red so bright Fluttershy could feel the warmth of her face in hers.
*giggle*
“WHAT’S SO FUNNY! MY LIFE IS RUINED! IF WORD OF THIS GETS OUT…”
“Calm down Rainbow Dash. I was joking. I think I’m the only one that knows.”
“WHAT! WHAT.”
“I happened to be flying over there that day. I had to exercise as much as I could before I hit month eight. I thought I saw your hair, so I went close to say hi, but when I heard how… vocal you were, I went away quietly. I didn’t want to spoil the moment.”
Rainbow, still lit a bright red, let out a sigh of relief.
“Don’t… don’t scare me like that Fluttershy. Whoa…”
“I thought you enjoyed joking around with people, Dashie.” Fluttershy said, definitely amused.
Rainbow spent a couple of seconds silent, recovering her composure. She loved seeing this side of Fluttershy, so even if the joke was on her, she didn’t mind one bit.
“Well, I still have to go back home.” Rainbow said, getting back to the original topic of conversation “I was planning on giving Chromatic the talk today, and I wanted to get there and… I don’t know, plan whatever it is I’m going to tell him.”
“Why do you want to talk to him about that so badly anyways Rainbow? Did something happen while you were away at camp or something?”
“No, nothing happened there. It’s just that this morning… umm…”
“C’mon Rainbow, I think we’ve known each other long enough for you to hesitate at telling me anything, no?”
“Well… this morning when I went to wake him up I caught him naked. And he had an erection too.”
“Oh.”
“Yeah. And he was very ashamed when he realized I could see it, but I had enough time to tell him that it’s normal and nothing to be ashamed off.”
“Well, that’s good…”
“But it seemed like he had no idea what to do with it! When I told him to get rid of it he said that he wasn’t looking forward to a cold shower that morning.”
“Well, it’s not like they teach you how to do it at school, I guess.”
“So… I just want to teach the kid. He’s growing up, and I want to help him become the best person he can be. I want to help him in anything I can.” Rainbow said quietly, with her fists closed and looking down. This theme had gotten to her a bit harder than she originally thought.
“Well… Discord was the one that gave the talk to Angel, maybe I can call him so he can give you tips on how to do it?”
“I appreciate it Shy, but I’m sure I’m sure it’s different for beings that can shapeshift.”
“Well, that is true.”
Rainbow decided to let that slow ball pass. “It’s really getting lat. I appreciate that you went out of your way to find out what was up, but as you can see, this is something that I have to solve on my own, as a mother.”
“I’m just glad it’s nothing that can’t be solved with a little talk. Are you sure there is nothing I can do to help?”
“It’s ok Shy. You just go rest some more.” Rainbow said, concern for her health still in the front of her mind. “I’ll come back tomorrow so we can talk some more. Maybe invite one of the other girls if they aren’t busy?”
“Sure thing Rainbow. Be safe!”
“Goodbye Fluttershy.”
And Rainbow took off again into the bright sky.

Amethyst Apple gave chase to Chromatic until he arrived to his house. He hopped off the ground and got into his cloud made residence, effectively escaping the chase. This run was longer than the Falling of the Leaves route, and they both sprinted the whole way, so the day wasn’t completely lost, training wise. Amethyst must have realized that too, as she turned around with a smile on her face and stared walking back to the Acres, doing her best to mask how extremely tired she was.
Chromatic Bolt on the other hand was already spread on the floor of his home, eyes closed and his breathing hard and quick. The mad dash had taken quite the toll on him, but it helped him realize how much his physical condition had improved in the last month. He must have ran this impromptu race in a third of what it would have taken him before his intense training.
Chromatic had no real motivation to get himself up, and was way too tired to get to his room anyways, so he just rested on the comfortable and cool hard cloud floor, feeling his breathing get back to normal. Then he started reviewing the events of the day. And what a long day it had been.
The sun was already going down the horizon when Rainbow got home. Her son must have arrived a while back now, so that meant she didn’t get any time to plan what she would say. She could just wait until night, or maybe the next day though. Fluttershy was right, she didn’t have to talk to him immediately and the matter could wait a day or so. Better to make a good effort than a half assed one after all.
That sounded like a solid plan, Rainbow thought, as she opened the door.
To find her son spread eagle in the floor.
With another hard on.
This was becoming too common an occurrence.
