Emerge from the depths.

The sun was rising over the snowy horizon, washing the entire scenery with precious light and heat for the next day of winter as the villagers get ready for 'Inspection' committee, which were kids who were pretending to be guards in the tranquil village, there hasn't been trouble in these lands for over 100 years minus the wild animal incidents like wild wolves or big bears.

Kyo, a slim and slender neko boy with shoulder length, straight blue hair with spiked bangs over his eyes, a blue cotton full sleeved shirt and a customized light black trench coat with a hood, grey slacks, black boots, black fingerless gloves and a uchigatana on the left side of his waist, recently joined the junior swordsman guild in order to protect the village in case there was an animal attack.

He was making his rounds outside, the sound of snow scrunching underneath his boots as he took one step after another, pretty much bored out of his mind, inside he wished there was an animal attack so he could go and sort it out, but another side of him wished for the village to be kept safe so he wouldn't get too worried.

While he is an exceptional swordsman (In his own mind), he has weaknesses that many could exploit: Innocent people.

He does not like seeing innocent people getting hurt or killed, the species of humans have done enough of that already to make him faint into a comatose state.

Kyo sighed as he looked around to see if there were any shops open so he could buy some fresh milk, but sadly he was out of luck as the sun hasn't fully risen, the street lights were still on around the village and it was freezing, whoever decided to make him early watch was a cold-hearted bastard.

He walks around to find his Captain for the mission of early checkups, he was in the town hall as always, 'Being the chief AND the mayor in the same time must be really exhausting.' Thought Kyo as he made it to town hall, he opens the doors, seeing all the lights were off. "...Huh, strange... Normally, he'd be up right about now... Guess I'm the one early for once." he said with a smirk, he sat down on the inside bench to wait for the mayor.

In the meantime, Kyo was getting comfortable, putting his legs up on the table to see if that caused any alarm... No answer. "Okay, something seriously is going on..." he said as he got up. "Speaking of which, mom and dad should be up, and I should of saw them... Is something going on I'm unaware of?"

Kyo ran out of the town hall and takes a good look around for anyone, now that he actually thinks about it, there is NO ONE, No sound, no life, this place is completely abandoned. "This isn't a dream right?" he said as he pinched himself and felt pain. "Ow!...Y..Yep, not dreaming..." he said as he was completely freaking out.

He desperately looked for any source of life, he ran back to the central marketplace in the village and eventually, he heard chatter in the distance. "Hmm?" he stopped and looked to where the sound was coming from. "Thank Tria!" he said as he ran to the sounds of the chatter and eventually he heard a crash. "!" he stopped dead in his tracks as he saw something grabbing one of the villagers with it's ... Is that thing using magic?

He continued to watch as the cloaked being started to suck the life out of the villager, looking around the creature lays bodies of unconscious villagers and the captain, this wasn't good, he had to act now!

He unsheathes his blade carefully so no sound was made, he was going to use the element of surprise, just as he was about to run out and strike, the being grew as it finished taking the villager's energy, making Kyo stop dead in his tracks. "By almighty Tria..." he said a little too loud and the creature heard him. "Oh? Another one to my absorb list?" he said as he pulled Kyo in from the bushes, leaving him to struggle and float there in front of the centaur creature.

Yep, definitely magic... And it can TALK!

Kyo struggled in the grip of the aura. "L-Let go of me!" he shouts, but as he continued to struggle the grip got tighter, causing Kyo to clench his teeth as he was getting squeezed by this strange aura, he growls and closes his eyes, trying his best to keep his mind off the pain.

"Hmm, you're certainly different that the rest of these pathetic creatures... Your ears and tail for instance... You're definitely a cross breed." he said as the centaur was having trouble breathing, yet the grip was so strong, so unreal, like a literal iron grip.

The beast laughed. "You're much more weaker than the rest too... How pathetic..." He threw Kyo into a stone wall who let out a painful yelp and landed his butt on the cold and snowy ground, Kyo got up, determined to beat this guy. "W-Whoever... You are... You're not... STOPPING ME!" he said as he ran at the Centaur and jumped high in the air, ready to do a vertical slice with his blade.

The Centaur however simply held his arm back. "You dare mock Lord Tirek?!" he shouts as he backhands Kyo to the snowy ground with Kyo giving another painful yelp.

Tirek laughed as he just walked towards Kyo and with his actual hand, he picks up the boy. "Hmm, you're not worth the power harvest..." Tirek looked like he was pondering what to do with the poor boy. "Ah, I know... A suitable punishment for attacking your lord like some... Sort of rebel."

Kyo couldn't help but think that he was about to die, he was GOING to die for attacking Tirek. "Y...You're no lord of mine..."

Tirek had a pissed look on his face, growling and tightening the grip on the boy's neck. "You insolent little worm!" he shouts as he made up his mind. "You will be banished from this world and onto a world more... SUITABLE for you... Don't even think about coming back, because all that you love and all that you hold dear will be destroyed!"

Kyo couldn't help but struggle harder, by the time he was distracted, Tirek made a portal. "Ugh... Filthy..." he commented on the town inside the portal, Tirek laughs as he just forcefully throws Kyo into the portal. "Ta-ta for now!" he shouts as he closes the portal behind him.

Kyo landed on his back on a hill near a town, taking his time to take a breather from the beating, he got up, groaning in pain, he will definitely feel that tomorrow...
