To love an older woman

A Gentleman's tale

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

You begin walking to second period.
Schlick Shlack Shlick Shlack! Your shoes are being loud as fuck.
...This day couldn't get any fucking worse.

You head to second period, your teacher yells at you for coming in dripping wet and sends you to the nurses office. Conveniently, they have a washer and dryer in the school for cleaning gym uniforms. You just have to sit in the nurses office almost completely naked waiting for them to dry. Lunch is over, third period starting before you even get your clothes. You're all dry now at the very least.
Things couldn't possibly get any worse at this point... Keep your mind on the positive things... you'll get through this. You head to third period.
Then fourth.
The day seemingly drags, and its only Monday. You sorely want it to be Friday for multiple reasons. As the final bell rings, you rise from your seat.
"Try not to get wet on the way home, Anon!" some douche bag yells.
You don't even give him the time of day, stuffing your things into your backpack.
Slinging it over your shoulder, you decide to check the library for Twilight. Might as well... you guys can still hang out. She doesn't know about you and Velvet... Yet...
Walking out of the classroom, you head to the library. The halls are filled with people. You brush past a couple of people here and there when you notice Twilight heading towards the Library.
"Twilight!"
She glances over, and smiles. "Hi, Anon!"
As you approach her she says, "Its a shame we don't have any classes together."
"Yeah. It is."
She walks with you two the library, both of you having to dodge some students. Luckily, not that many people are heading to the library. Approaching the large wooden doors, you open it up for Twilight and let her step through. "Thanks, Anon." She says with a smile on her face.
"No prob." You don't feel the tension you feel when you're around Velvet.
Keeping your cool, you follow her into the Library. "So you still haven't met the band yet."
You both take the time to glance at one another as you speak to each other. "Yeah, I've been pretty busy lately."
"Well do you still want to meet them or..."
"Yeah, I don't really have many plans at the moment." Sitting down with her at one of the tables, you both sling off your backpacks and set them down.
"I heard a funny story today." She says with a mischievous grin.
"Oh yeah? Whats that?"
"I heard you got drenched today!"
"Who told you that?"
"Oh. Rainbow Dash. She saw you while she was skipping class."
"She skips class?"
"Don't try to change the subject! You got drenched!"
"Yeah, I got covered in water...so what?"
She giggles, "Well it didn't start raining until after school started. Were you late?"
"Very."
"Why?"
"Didn't sleep well. Last night was pretty chaoti-"
Whoops.
Twilight immediately notices your discomfort. "Yeah...I'm really sorry about all that."
"I-I didn't mean to offe-"
"You didn't! It just came out of nowhere is all..."
Both of your faces are red as tomatoes.
"I felt better after you talked with me, though." she says with a warm smile.
"Well, I figured I'd be able to talk some sense into you."
"Are you saying that I'm senseless?"
"What?! No!"
She laughs, having had a straight face on up until that point.
Dammit. You've been had.
"Well, that whole thing wasn't why the night was Chaotic..." You can't believe you're about to say this. Even if it hurts Twilight, you have to tell her.
"What do you mean?" Twilight asks.
"Well..."
"Its just that..."

"I think your dessert made me sick."
She jokingly gasps. "What?! I gave you food poisoning?!" she says in a sarcastic tone.
"Yeah! I was on the toilet all night!" you say, mimicking her tone.
"Oh, so THAT'S why you were late!"
"Exactly. It's all your fault, Twilight."
She makes a fake sad face. "I'm sorry, Anon..."
"Yeah. You should be."
"Because your dessert was garbage."
She fake cries, putting her face into her hands. There's a moment of silence before you both laugh.
"We're stupid."
"Yeah."
"How much homework do you have?"
"Don't know. Ain't going to do it either way."
"What? You have to do your homework, Anon..."
You sigh and unzip your backpack. You get your homework out... Math... Oceanography...
"Ooh! You're taking Oceanography?" She says, looking at your book.
"Yup. We're studying the Coriolis Effect right now."
"Okay, I'll quiz you!"
"What?"
"What direction does water shift in the northern hemisphere?"
You think about it for a second... "Uhh, shit goes to the right in the Northern Hemisphere."
"That's the worst right answer I've ever heard...why do you curse so much?"
"Don't like it?"
She shakes her head. "Its pretty distasteful in my opinion."
"You need it for anyone to take you seriously these days."
She sighs exasperatedly. "Anon, you shouldn't curse just because everyone else is doing it..."
Being lectured by Twilight about cursing... But you got her quiz question right.
"Hey, I got the answer right, right?"
"Right..."
"Then let me get away with that one curse word."
She sighs, "Fine."
"You should really just stop all together."
You shrug.
"Eh."
"Eh?"
"Eh."

Author's Note

Certainly a Gentleman Anon is, considering he basically has the gentleman usage of a sailor. That tongue he uses deserved a bottle of liquid soap and then a full bar of soap, tenfold.
No Regrets.
