The world outside of Equestria is filled with dangerous ponies and creatures, and the Night Guard works from the shadows to keep it that way, doing what nopony wants to do… what nopony should have to do. Most of the Night Guard are shadows, ponies to avoid or regard with apprehension. In some places they are urban legends, myths made up by ponies in order to scare children.
