He had watched them for so long.He had studied them for as long he could remember. And it was finally time to meet them in person.

They had shown great progress lately. No threats or anything to keep him from visiting. It was about time that they knew of him anyway.

'This is going to be fun' he thought, beginning to make the long trek from his secluded hideout to the capitol of Equestria,Canterlot.

'This is a lovely day' He remarked, looking up at the dark sky.It was still night, but it would soon be time to raise the sun.It was spring, and the birds and flowers had come back from the winter.

He had been walking for about half an hour befor He had finally reached the outskirts of Ponyville.

He moved quickly through the town, hoping not to attract any serious attention.

It wasn't long though before He had attracted the attention of Pinkie Pie,the local party planner. He was not expecting anyone to be up so early,so He was surprised to find her up and about. But thats just Pinkie.

'Oh no' He thought, for He knew what happened when she found a new resident in Ponyville.

"HI!I haven't seen you before! You must be new!I'm going to throw you a 'Welcome to Ponyville party'!" She said as soon as she has spotted him.

"Ah.Maybe later." He said calmly."Fine." she pouted."But I need to make preparations and I don't know your name or,come to think of it,I don't know what you are." She said, looking over the tall black figure.

He was tall.Very Tall.He looked like he could be just a little taller than the tip of celestia's horn.He was dressed in a black cloak with the hood over his head. She found this strange because the sun was not out yet.She also noticed that instead of a hoof,he had two hands. And from what she could see under the hood, she determined that he was white colored with blondish-black hair and blue eyes.

"Just call me Kaleb. And I promise I will be back for a welcoming party." he said with a smile.

"Okey dookie!" she said with a smile and began to bounce back to her house.

He quickly rushed past the Cake residence, confident to reach the royal castle before anyone noticed him.

He knew he had been very brief with pinkie, she had not even had time to say her usual 20 questions and statments in one sentence in a rapid-fire fashion, but he needed to talk to Celestia, before someone else got suspicious.

Celestia had her usual day planned out.Meet with the leader of the Griffons, attend a meeting with the mayors from the largest cities in Equestria, raise the sun.The usual day of a Sun-Goddess.

She was just about to get out of her large, custom made bed and get ready when she heard a voice directly behind her.

"Good morning.Sleep well"?

It sounded comforting, inviting. She could tell that the voice belonged to a older male. She whipped her head around and stood in a defensive position to face the intruder.

What she saw was shocking.

There, standing about five feet away on the other side of the bed,was some sort of creature. It stood very tall, just about a inch or two taller than the tip of her horn.It was white-colored and was clad in a black cloak.

"I demand to know who or what are you and why you are intruding my bed chamber!" she demanded, still standing in her defensive position.

"Calm down.I am certainly no threat to you or anyone.I simply want to talk to you and to 'make an announcement'." said the creature.

"Alright." She said, sensing he was not a threat.

"You want to know who and what I am,correct?" asked the creature in questioning voice.

"Yes" she said with a nod of her head.

"Well, you may call me Kaleb. No more,no less.As for what I am,I am a rarity among this world. In fact,I'm the only one of my kind here.So I am the only human you will ever see."He said

"So your a human? But,If there is only one human, then how are even here?" she said.

"Ah.I am the last remaining human.I simply outlived everyone." He said, chucking and walking around the side of the bed.

"Why have I not heard of your kind before?" she asked him

"My people lived on the edge of the world, outside of Equestria,in a barren wasteland almost inhospitable to most forms of life.Yet we thrived. We never contacted you,or had any want or need to.That is why you have never heard of us."

"Why are you in my bedchambers then? Why not just come out in public?" she asked him

"I cannot do that.At least not yet.If the ponies knew what I am or what I can do,they would be terrified of me."

I don't see why you would think that we would be afraid of you." she said "You certainly don't look dangerous."

"I look like a complete alien.Nothing around here looks anything remotely like me.That alone could spread panic."

"Not to us.We would welcome you with open hooves." she said.He slightly smiled at the statement.

"Wait. You said that we would be terrified of 'what you can do'.What CAN you do that would make us that scared of you?" she asked with a frown.

"I am incredibly powerful in manipulation and conjuration and all other forms of magic.I have spent lifetimes making myself stronger in magic. My powers could easily rival yours." he said darkly

"It does not look like you have a horn of any kind. How are you able to access magic?" she asked him

"Humans have a special gift that allows them to be able to control magic without the use of a external aid.The trick is to learn how to access it.I was VERY gifted with it.Using my honed magical skills,I have prolonged my life to almost a thousand times more than a humans normal life span.Believe it or not,but I'm older than you."

She could not believe it.She had heard NOTHING like this about magic.Even her and Luna's powers combined could not do anything like that.

"Now you see what I am and what I am capable of.Now you must be wondering why I am here.I have decided that I will deploy myself as a personal guard and aid to you,Luna, and the Maine six.I will defend you and them with my eternal life.Think of me as a 'special attachment' to your Royal Guard."

"Alright.I will allow you to aid us in whatever situations arise, although I do not quite know what that would be."

"Fantastic." he said, clapping his hands together.

"I am relieved on how fast and smoothly this process has went. Also, while guarding you,I will obey your customs and laws, although they differ from mine."

"Good." she said "Now,I must raise the sun.I'm almsot as late as it is." she said

"Of course." he said, bowing to her with grin on his face as she walked out of the room.

But as she continued down the hall, she could hear him following her.

"You know,I'm surprised on how easily your handling this.I thought you would freak out and put me in jail or something."

"Nonsense.I'm glad that you have agreed to help my student and her friends. But wait." she stopped suddenly and turned to face him

"Why do you think that they would require your aid?" she asked him

"I had a vision. Many terrors and threats may soon loom over Equestria.Something so terrible, not even The Elements Of Harmony can destroy it." he said

She stopped dead and stared at him.

"What is threatening Equestria?!What evil is behind this?!When did you have this 'vision'?!When were you planning on informing me of this?!" she half asked/shouted at him.

"I was simply meditating in the ruins of a large city I frequently visit in the barren wasteland that is now my home, and suddenly there was a strong magical spike within the area and I saw tentacles of darkness, sweeping down from the heavens and destroying everything they touched.Whole city's turned to ash.All plots to stop the evil failed. After a month of the tentacles arrival, the whole world burned. Not a speck of life left." he said

"Wh-when does this happen?" she asked shakily

"I'm not sure, but I could tell it was in the distant future, between one year in the future and a thousand.I,of course, will not let this happen. That is why I am here now. That is why I must help you,for without my help,Equestria shall fall."

"What should I tell the ponies?" she asked him

"Nothing. No one should no anything at all until the time has come." "When will that be?"

"When the demons of hell are upon us."

"Don't you think that that may be a little too late?" she asked him

"No.Telling them now will only cause panic. It's best to wait until the very last moment." he replied

"Well,I am grateful for help,Mr.Kaleb.If you think that you can help us in the time of peril, then be my guest and help us." she said

"That's why I'm here." he said

"But don't let this bad news get you down.Like I said,it could be a long time before the events that I witnessed occur."

"Alright.I guess that the best we can do in this situation is to stay vigilant." she said

He agreed.

"Now,you should get going and raised the sun." he said pointing his hand behind her towards the balcony

"Oh my goodness!I almost forgot in this "end of the world" buisness!" she said and she raced off to raise the sun

He watched her as she did so,he horn lighting up with magic. He thought of how easily she accepted this rapid information.'Acceptance to wierd things must come with age.' he thought.Still,He could not fathom a situation of where a older human would believe a single word he had said. They would have thought he was completely nuts.He adored the ponies for many reasons. One was their fast acceptance of unusual situations and their complete trust in a total stranger. He was half expecting to be put in a insane asylum for even considering that his vision was true. And yet,the most wise being in the entire world besides himself believed him and even had agreed to his help. Not only that, but in one quick exchange of words and information! The ponies were so unlike his own extinct species, who preferred violence and death over harmony. He wished that he would never have to drag this species into chaos and war just like his always was.But yet here he was, gearing them up for what will surely be the most bloodiest and costly event the ponies had ever seen.He sighed.Today was going to be a long day.
