The Guardian

He then began to tour the castle,although he already knew where everything was,for he had watched the original construction ponies build this place over a thousand years ago.He soon found himself in a small but beutifle room with paintings on the walls and a single window that let the rays of the sun into the room.He studied the paintings.Each painting depicted a famous historical ponies,all of wich he knew.After he had studied them,he turned to look out the window at the wonderful landscape.While he was admiring nature,he noticed a rainbow-colored streak against the blue sky,a couple of miles off.'Must be a pegasus ponie' he thought,turning his back against the window to look at the paintings.But only after a minute of looking at the works of art,he felt something slam into his back.He was caught off gaurd and was jolted ahead a couple of feet,but quickly turned around with his fists up,ready to face his attacker.But as he saw who it was,he was quickly reliefed.He knew the pony.She was unmistakable.The tradmark rainbow-colored mane and tail,accompanied with the lighting cutie mark.'Ah.Its only the Element of Loyalty.' he thought lowering his arms.

"You thought you could sneak in here huh?Thought you could attack the princess?Well,you didn't expect me you monster!"

Rainbow dash said,hovering in the window.

"I saw you in here when I flew by.I knew that you were trouble so I burst in here to stop you!Now,put 'em up!" She said

She then took off again at him,hoping to crash into him to make him fall so she could take him down easier.

But he simply side-stepped her as she passed him and grabbed onto her wing,stoping her in mid=flight and holding her up off of the ground with one arm like she weighed almost nothing."Hey let me go!" she yelled,tring to kick him and free herself.But her legs werent long enough to reach him and he had a iron grip.

"I'll let you go I you promise to not attack me." he said calmly.

She didnt answer and just continued to try to squirm out of his hand,but she quickly reasond that she couldent break free.

"Fine.Let let me down."

"As you wish." he said droping her instead of lowing her to the ground.Expecting to be lowered instead of dropped like that,she was unprepared and fell on side painfully.But she righted herself quickly and stood to face him.

"Now,what are you doing in the princess's castle,huh?" she asked angerly.

"I have been 'assigned' to protect and aid both the princess's and the Mane six.I was just admiring the paintings when you thought I was a assassin or something and kicked me in the back.S,I was actually doing the oppesite of what you thought I was doing." he said.

"How come I havent heard of you before?" she asked,calming down.

"The princess was actually going to make an announcment about this this afternoon." he said.

"I was just hanging out around here until then."

"The princess already has a royal guard to protect her.What can you do that they cant?" she asked

"Well,for one,I can shapeshift."he said.

Rainbow dash broke down in a fit of laughing."I may not know what you are,but I do know that only changelings can shapeshift." She chuckled.But then she stopped laughing and stared at him hard.

"Are you a changeling then huh.Are you a spy?" She asked him accusingly.

"Well,no." he said calmly.

"Prove it." she snorted.

"I already have" he said "If I really was a spy,then I would not have let you go so easily." he said

"I guess not.But I still dont think that you can shapeshift." she said

"Well,watch this!" he said

Suddenly,the room was then filled with a white smoke.Surprised,Rainbow dash began to cough and to look around for him.She could not see him anywhere,which was odd since he was so tall.Then,the smoke began to clear.And as it did,she could make out a another figure in the smoke.It wasn't him because the figure was no taller than Rainbow dash,and it was standing in the same place where he had been not a minute ago.Once the smoke finally cleared,she gasped at what she saw.

The figure was actually another Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash two looked just like the first one.The cyan blue fur,Rainbow colored mane and tail,and even the same eye color and cutie mark.

She could not believe it.At first she thought that she was just looking at a mirror,but she didn't remember a mirror being in this room.She cocked her head to the side in confusion.The other Rainbow Dash mimicked her,cocking her neck as well.

Then,just to test it,Rainbow dash raised her hoof into the air.The other one did so too copying her exactly.Then she lowered her hoof.The copy did the same.

'I cant believe!He turned into me!' She had finally realized.

"Hey.That's pretty cool." She said to him or,rather her now."Hey.That's pretty cool." mimed the other Rainbow Dash

'He even has my voice!'

"Alright.You can stop now." she said "Alright.You can stop now." came the reply

"How do you do that?" she asked

"How do you do that?" she said.

"Seriously."

"Seriously."

"Please stop copying me!" she said,getting angry again.

Satisfied,he chuckled in his own voice.

"See!I told you I could shapeshift!Celestia didn't belive me either when I raised the sun this morning...." he said

"What?" she asked

"Nothing." he said quickly.

"Anyway,that's really cool.You look exactly like me!And you even have my voice!" she said,astounded.

"How do you do that?" she asked him."I've had a long time to practice.Trust me." he said

"Ya.I look,walk,and talk just like you!I bet that I could fool everyone who knows you to think that I'm you!" he said

"I bet you could." she said,sounding almost impressed.

He chuckled again.Then,the white smoke dominated the room again,and in a few minutes stood Kaleb again.

"By the way,whats your name?" she asked him

"Uh,Kaleb.Just kaleb." he said.

"Well see you later kaleb." she said,taking flight and flying out the window.

"I'll be seeing you real soon!" he called out after her.
