The Elements Of Harmony: 2014
Chapter 1
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe eyes of a lone, dark blue unicorn opened up to the sound of his alarm clock going off. This made him groan and roll out of bed, hitting the alarm once he was out, and then trotted over to the bathroom. Once there, he took a quick shower, and got in front of the mirror, taking a look at himself. His lavender mane was a mess, and practically covered his face, obscuring his soft green irises. He had a simple stallion feature, that was for sure, and his horn seemed to be one single horn, instead of the usual spiral horns. He didn't think he looked too bad, but his mane said otherwise. So with a grunt, he grabbed a comb with his magic, and began to work on getting it somewhat neat.
Once he finished, and could see himself again, he left the bathroom, and headed for the kitchen. He lived in an apartment, so it wasn't all that big, but he got used to it easily enough, since it gave him privacy. He didn't really like any crowds, or anypony who wanted to talk to him for that matter, but he kept it hidden well enough.
After a quick bowl of cereal, and a quick glance at his list, he left the apartment, and headed into the city of Manehatten.
The stallion soon stood in front of a bar, having already bought the needed groceries and sent them home, he wanted to get a quick drink of alcohol to help him relax, given all the ponies around him and the such. The bar was one of the smaller ones, but it had the best booze in all of Manehatten, which was saying something. It's so good, but it's the least known. Strange really.
Once he took a step towards the bar, a pegasus with a pitch black coat, and a pitch black mane that held a red streak in it flew out the window, crashing harshly into the ground next to the first stallion, and started coughing. Just then a Gang Leader came out of the bar, a cigar in his mouth, and a couple muscle heads next to him. He was smiling as he spoke. "You better make sure to get us the money this time, or else we'll do worse than this." He then nodded to his guards. "We're done here."
The two stallions watched as the Gangsters left the alley, and disappeared around the corner.
The dark blue stallion looked down at the pitch black one, who coughed a couple times, before he offered his hoof. "Need some help?"
The black coated stallion simply glanced at him, but shook his head as he got to his hooves. "Nah, those idiots didn't do that much damage, really all they did was get a lucky hit."
The blue one nodded, staying silent for a while, then offered a small smile. "I'm Bright Night, you?"
The pegasus shook his body a bit, small shards of glass falling out his feathers. "Jet Black, though most just call me JB."
Bright Night nodded again, and motioned to the bar. "I got a few extra bits if you're interested in a drink."
JB smiled, letting his wings furl up. "Sounds good, though I don't really talk much to new people."
"Then we should get along swimmingly, because I don't talk most besides now."
"The unsocial type, eh? Alright, I could live with that. What kind of alcohol are ya gettin'?"
"Whiskey."
"Ugh... I prefer Vodka personally." He got to his hooves. "Well, let's go, Silent Night, and get some drinks."
Bright Night smiled back, and they headed into the bar.
A lone, white unicorn stallion with a graying mane sighed slightly as he continued to craft one of his works in progress, which he calls Halos, rings that magically float above your head and kinda act like a GPS. They show you where your destination is, and where you think of going next.
He just finished putting the last piece of when a lone yellow pegasus with a grey mane trotted in, and hiccuped before trotting over. The very sight of him made the unicorn speak. "Hey there, Hiccup, what can I do for you?"
Hiccup did just that before clearing his throat. "I wanted to buy one of those Halos ponies keep talking about. You got any in storage?"
"Just finished the first one, actually. Why?"
"I need to find out where my dog is."
"Did he get lost again?"
Hiccup nodded. "Yeah, he keeps forgetting to stay with me. I think he likes getting lost."
The unicorn nodded as he grabbed one of them. "Here, try this out and tell me how it works, I don't want them not working or the such."
Hiccup nodded again. "Thanks, Halo."
Halo smiled again. "No problem, we're friends, after all."
They shared a quick hoofpound, then went their separate ways.
A lone, orange coated stallion grunted as he pushed through the large fields of Sweet Apple Acres, the land that's yet to loose it's most wonderful apples in all of Equestria. The stallion continued to pull the plow through the ground, all the while seeds were put into the ground by great granny Apple.
As the stallion pushed forward, a kelp green stallion hopped into view, and spoke as he saw the stallion. "Hey, AB, how're ya?"
AB, grunted as he looked at him. "What do you want, Kelp?"
Kelp chuckled as he continued to follow. "I wanted to know if there was anything to help with?"
AB went pale slightly. "No, there isn't anything."
"Why not?"
"Remember what happened last time?"
"What?"
"You asked to feed the cows last time, and the next thing we knew, the barn was on fire. I don't think we need any help."
"Come on! I could do a lot of help. Hold up." He stopped, and began kicking at his ear like a dog, causing a flea to fall out, and he went back to hoping. "Anyways, there got's to be something."
"No, we're good."
"Please?"
"No, now don't ask again, or I'll have Big Hair toss you out of the orchard again."
Kelp huffed in annoyance. "You're no fun."
"And you're a dangerous psychopath. We don't need anymore of them, got enough back in Manehatten. Now go back to Canterlot, I'm sure they need your help more."
Kelp huffed again and hopped for the exit. "Fine, I'll just build my own orchard, with blackjack and hookers."
AB raised an eyebrow at him, but shook it off as he continued to work.
