Two months past the healing of Scootaloo.

Twilight

Me and my friends were at the spa with Moondancer. It was my idea, as I had known Patrick's wife when I was younger but had never really connected. I had felt terrible, I was the princess of Friendship and I had ignored her. But she wasn't that angry, she said that because she had been lonely in Canterlot, she was able to stay with Patrick.

We had been talking in the hot tub when I asked a question that had been bothering me.

"Moondancer? Can I ask you something?"

"Sure go ahead."

"You and I are about the same age, but Spirit looks at least ten years old, how's that possible?"

Feeling six sets of eyes on her Moondancer sighed.

"*sigh*, ok that'll take some explaining. You see, Patrick was working on a spell that sent a ponies memories into the past."

Applejack spoke up "Like time travel?"

"Similar but not the same. You see; my mind isn't this bodies, it's the mind of Moondancer from nine years."

"Crazy," Said Rainbow Dash "What's the future like? Am I a Wonderbolt?"

"I don't know, I really don't remember much about it; most of what was sent back was memories about my family and spells that I knew."

"But what about Spirit?"

"When your memories get sent back, some of your magic is also sent back to act like a catalyst. The thing is that a Lich's body is almost entirely dependent on magic and Spirit's is the same. When her memories and magic from nine years from now came to this time, her body changed to reflect it."

I spoke up "So Spirit is chronologically one year old?"

"Yes. I 'had' her a year ago."

Applejack spoke again "That's mighty confusing, did Pat change too?"

Moon smiled "Yeah, but he has been a skeleton longer than than the Princesses have been alive. So nine years isn't that big of a deal."

"How is Patrick? He didn't want to come with us?"

"Nah, he said 'that it was about time his wife went out with the girls'."

Rarity seemed unimpressed "Seems a little rude."

"I would have been upset but it's true, even in the future I really didn't have allot of friends.....or any outside my family."
Moon smiled "It's really nice to spend time with you."

All six of us smiled in return and I spoke for everypony "It's been our pleasure Moondancer."

We all talked for a bit but I noticed that Rainbow kept looking at Moon, like she was trying to see something that the others couldn't.

She caught on too "Is something wrong Rainbow?"

"Oh no it's nothing, it's just.......I think you have two auras."

We all looked at her but Applejack was that first to ask "Ah, auras sugercube?"

"Yeah, everypony I meet nowadays has like this cloudy mist around them. I think it's their life force or something. "

I spoke up "But why would Moondancer have two unless she was..."

We all looked at her while she shyly smiled.

"I was going to tell you later, but Patrick and I.....are having another baby!"

We all hugged her, excited to hear such great news. I couldn't believe that somepony I knew was going to have a baby!

Pinkie was the first to speak after the hug "We are so throwing you a shower."

Patrick

I wanted to do this while Moon was out, I didn't get much time to myself these days, not with the princesses knowing about my existence and my family's. But with Moon out with her friends, Spirit playing with the crusaders and the egg not even close to hatching, I finally had a chance to do this.

Finding the spot that I was looking for in the Everfree, I sat down and unpacked the lunch I prepared for myself; a grilled cheese sandwich with an apple. I ate in the quiet, sitting next to an old friend.

"You know you still have trouble talking to people. You think after five thousand years of dealing with me you would open up to people more. You didn't even say hi when I walked in. Oh well, I guess it makes me feel special that you've only ever talked to me, even if it's only once and awhile these days."

Patrick paused for a second then spoke again. "The princesses know about me and so do the element bearers. I'm scared of what might happen to my family.....and I'm scared of what I might do if anything were to happen to them. Equestria almost starved because I forgot to de-summon some zombies, what would happen if I went all out?"

"You would become true death, a destroyer of worlds."

"I knew that. But I wanted to know; would you stop me, if that happens?"

"..........I don't think I could."

"Could you protect my family, from the princesses...or from myself?"

"That I can do."

Five thousand years ago.

Patrick

I didn't know where I was, but I was sure that this wasn't Earth. The place was a truly beautiful garden, with flowers and trees all in bloom, half of whom I was sure didn't really exist.

I walked through the garden, waiting for something to pop out. A plant monster, an elf, anything and as I continued in nothing happened or appeared. But as I walked I eventually heard a voice which I thought at first was in my head.

"Hello, it's nice to meet you."

I looked around, seeing no one and I realized that the voice that I thought was in my head, was just a voice echoing around me. Still I looked but there wasn't anyone or anything around.

"Behind you."

I turned and saw it, a crystal tree with six gems in its breeches and trunk.

"My name is Everfree, and I welcome you to my home. It's a pleasure to finally meet the being who will become the spirit of Death. What's your name?"

"P..Patrick?"

"Patrick....let's be friends Patrick."

Author's Note

Hi everyone, I'm sorry that It took so long and that it's so short but that's about all I got at the moment, hopefully you guys liked the universe building.

I want to thank everyone who has favorited, commented and liked this story, seeing those always warms my heart. I still think it's amazing that people not only read my stories but LIKE them....it's still crazy to me.

I will try to up date soon, but I have about four school projects due in november but I am not saying there will be nothing. I will try to get another of these Intermission chapters up soon I just don't know exactly when, as my fanfiction.net readers know I now have three stories to juggle plus school, life and my gaming addiction.

But here hoping it's soon. Hope to see you again.

Ps- *clears throat* Moondancers canon! Yeah! I'm so happy! I didn't post when the episode came out but this was how I felt inside! But her age was something that was brought up by a friend so there the retcon for it.
