Four months past the healing of Scootaloo.

Ever since the ponies had appeared in my home, I have had minimal contact with them. So when I was invited to join the four princesses for dinner at Canterlot palace I was a little surprised, at first I didn't want to go, but with my....reputation, I really couldn't refuse.

I teleported there, scaring some maids, and was lead to the dining area, where all four were waiting. While Celestia looked fine, Luna and Twilight looked reserved and Cadence looked really awkward, though that wasn't that surprising. This was the first time I had meet her face to face and most of the information she had on me came from myths and legends, which aren't always the most flattering in my case.

Sitting down, I drank some water as three of the princesses stared at me.

'This is senior prom all over again.'

"Ah, so how are things in the Crystal Empire?"

Cadence's eyes went to Celestia, unfortunately she had her sees closed as she drank some tea.

"It's been good....ah, trade is up."

"I'm just glad Sombra is gone, that guy was a dick."

Luna and Cadence looked at each other as Twilight spoke.

"You knew Sombra?"

"Well, I didn't know him personally, but I felt his presence as his power increased and he felt mine. At that point though he knew that I was beyond him, so he kept his distance."

Luna turned to me "So, you knew about Sombra, did you also know about Discord or Tirek?"

"Yep, I've actually meet Discord before, he's not so bad. Tirek though.....that was one piece of work, his brother was alright from what I heard."
Luna frowned "You do know that Discord betrayed us for Tirek?"

"It's in his nature, Discord is Chaos personified. At first his friendship with you ponies was genuine but it wasn't deep enough for him to turn against his instincts. Chaos isn't something you can just rid of, it has to go or be channeled somewhere else."

Twilight looked questioningly "How do you know that? Do you know something about Discord that we don't?"

I snapped my head back, "Oh, ahhhh," I looked as the kitchen doors opened "look our foods here. "

'Thank Christ."

The food was good overall though I stayed away from the flowers or hay meals.

Celestia looked at Twilight as we ate, "So how have your friends been Twilight?"

"They've been good, Rainbow is still getting used to being a mom but her and Scootaloo have been good. Rarity is trying to open a store in Canterlot but it's been a slow process."

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"It's ok."

Luna kept looking at me out of the corner of her eye but I ignored her. Whatever she was thinking wasn't my problem.
We had dessert brought to us as dinner finished, the chocolate cheese cake was great.

"So," said Cadence "I heard that Moondancer is pregnant?"

"That's right."

"How was Spirit delivered? Did you do it yourself?"

"Yep, and it wasn't the first I delivered a baby. Though now that my existence is out in the open hopefully it'll be the last."

"Why? Don't you want to be there for the birth?"

"Hell no. The only reason I did it back then was because there was no one else was there. Two is too many for one lifetime."

Celestia smiled "You have lived for hundreds of lifetimes."

"Still too many."

Four thousand years ago.

It had been a thousand years since I had become a Lich and my body had already become a skeleton. Everfree had just finished absorbing the natural Chaos magic that was present in what would become Equestria and had finished channeling it into something else.

The flower that grew from her roots opened and I grabbed the object that was inside.

"Congratulations Free it's a......thing." I held the slime covered creature in my arms, it was a mishmash of different animals and was starting to wake up."Jussst one question......what is it?"

"That is the first Chaotic spirit the world has seen."

"Hey. I'm standing right here."

"SPIRIT. It is a SPIRIT. Humans may have some chaos inside them but that being in your hands is the first living embodiment of chaos."

"Ok, But why Free? I mean, why get rid of chaos magic?"

"Firstly you cannot simply 'get rid of magic', and only a living being could handle that much singular magic inside them. And I have foreseen that the beings who would make this land their home can't live in a chaotic environment, so I took that magic away."

"And got knocked up?"

".............I am a tree Patrick. I can't give birth."

"And here we are, you just having grown a son and me holding the bastard."

"Patrick!"

"What? You're not married."

"......................."

"So what are you going to call the little guy."

"....Discord."

"Discord?"

"Why? Are you opposed to the name?"

"No, but be prepared when he gets picked on in the school playground and comes crying home to mom."

"He can't stay Patrick......you know that."

"Yeah."

Everfree was right. Discord was a spirit of Chaos. To be raised by the Spirits of Order and Death would taint who he was and could even change his magic. A chaotic being couldn't have order in his life, at least at this stage of his upbringing.

"So where is he going?"

"The Tribe of the black talon."

"The major Griffon tribe? They're not so bad, don't they welcome anyone regardless of their race?"

"Yes, and the leader of the tribe has been looking for someone worthy of raising, it'll be perfect."

I stood there, looking at the new born as he looked around. "Would you like a few minutes."

"Yes, please. Thank you Patrick."

I placed Discord back into the flower and walked out of the central garden and to the borders of Everfree's forest. As I stood there, the flowers and trees began to drop and the normally white clouds turned grey and began to rain. With the lands chaos magic gone, Everfree's order magic was affecting the land, and right now, it was feeling the sorrow of a broken mothers heart.

Sorry this took so long, University has been a nightmare moon (*a million people boo in the background*) but with no exams, I should have most of december free and I'll try to get more of these intermissions done.
