The Lover and The Moon

It was December, and there was one week until my school's big event, the Snow Prom. Our school would always have one every year. This prom was special though, the place we're going to had a small gazebo outside. There, I am planning on having slow dance with Luna. I had already bought two tickets for us and my suit was ready. Now the hard part, was the last thing I had left, asking Luna. I took my bike and I rode it all the way to the closes flow shop near our neighbor hood. Luckily the owner of the flower shop had his son working, and he is a good friend of mine. The one that would like to examine the girls at my school. I got to the flower shop and open the door. "Hey, Damien, you here?"

"Hold on!" I looked around for some flower's to get for Luna. "Ok, I'm here." I turned and I saw Damien in a robe with a picture of a flower and the name of the store in the front of robe. "Kyle, what are you doing here?"

"Hey Damien, I need..."

"Hold on let me guess." We stood there for a few seconds until. "You need flowers for Amber." He said pointing at me.

"How did you know?"

"Hey, I know my friend, and if my friend needs flowers, then it has to be something important."

I stared at Damien with shock when he figure out what was happening. "Well, you know what, your right about that. It is for something important, I'm planning on asking Amber out to the Snow Prom."

Damien stopped everything he was doing and turn towards me. "Your kidding me?"

"Nope, tonight, when I go see her, I will ask her to Prom."

Damien ran to me and picked me up. "That's my boy!!" he dropped me and placed his hands on my shoulders. "we need to make sure we get you the perfect flowers. Hey dad, can you come into the shop for a second!!"

I heard a small reply come from the back. "Coming!" a few seconds later Damien's dad Mr. Fernandez showed up "yes Damien, what is it?"

Damien turned towards his father. "Dad, I would like you to meet my friend, Kyle"

I raise my hand at him. "it's nice to meet you."

"it's nice to meet you too Kyle."

"Dad, we need to find Kyle the best flower's we have." we started to walk over to a set of refrigerator's with a clear door. Inside there were many verities of flowers in water.

"what's the occasion."

I turn to Damien's dad and told him "I'm asking someone out."

"Oh, then we need to find you some special flowers" we were looking around for flowers that would look nice for Luna. "what type of flowers are you looking for."

"I need to find a flower that matched her hair color."

"What would that be?"

I was about to say until Damien Interrupted me. "her hair is a dark color like the night sky" I stared at Damien, really dude, wait to take my thunder.

"I think I have something in the back I believe." Damien's dad went to the back and I decide to have a little talk with Damien. I punched Damien's side.

"OW!, what was that for?"

"dude, what was that for, you made it sound like you were asking her out."

"what? I have a perfect picture memory of every girl in our class, I was only trying to help."

Ok, that was a little too much information for me. "Ok, just don't do it again."

seconds past, then, Damien's dad came back with a white box. He opened the box and a purple bluish set of flowers was inside. "will this do?"

"This is perfect! can get a bunch of those please."

"sure." Damien's dad went back into the back of the store again

"Ok, how much will that be?"

"It's on the house." I nearly dropped everything when I heard those words.

"what?"

"yeah dude, it's on the house, you are going to need this for your date."

I picked him up "Thank you so much man, how can I ever repay you?"

"well." he stared at the canaling, "I do need help at the Snow Prom, I going to have a date with me and I'm kind of nervous. You got to help a brother out, I don't know what to do."

I stared at him for a few second, then I started to laugh a little bit. "Damien, My only friend who knows about every girl in our class is scared of his first date." I laughed harder, I calmed my self down and rested my hand on his should. "Ok, you got yourself a deal, it will be a double date. we will meet you at the Prom, Ok?"

"Ok" we both bumped fist. When Damien's dad return, I received the boke of flowers that I ordered and returned home. When I got back I walked over to Luna's house, knocked on the door, and hid the flowers behind my back.

The door opened. "Hi Kyle."

"Hey Luna, so you know the Snow Prom the school talked to us about yesterday?"

Luna Looked at me with confusion. "yeah?"

"well I was wondering?" I held the boke of flowers to her. "will you go with me to the Snow Prom?" I looked up and I saw Luna's face red, "Lu..."

Before I could say anything else, Luna ran to me and hugged the life out of me. "yes I will go with you." she said, "just one problem" she let go of me. "what is a prom?"
