Resistance

The yelling could be heard across Ponyville. Ear drums shattered. Heads exploded. I'm joking, of course.

“WHAT ARE YOU!”

“ALIENS ARE REAL!”

“SO AWESOME!”

Those were some of the things the rebels heard, the ponies on the other hand…

“HEY IT’S A VORTIGAUNT!”

“HORSEHORSEHORSE!”

And last but not least…

“Meh.”

Eventually all the yelling died down but everyone (or everything) kept eyeing the others. The rebels kept there weapons ready, but lowered them a bit. Twilight and Rarity had their magic charged for an attack if necessary. Applejack and Pinkie Pie had whatever they had at their disposal. A lasso and a cannon. Fluttershy squeak back a bit and rainbow was ready to pounce.

“So…” Dan said to Noah and Amanda without looking at them. The ponies were confused (HEAVILY) that one of the aliens spoke Equestrian.

“So what? We died, and were on a planet filled with talking horses.” Amanda said, popping a piece of gum in her mouth.

“Aliens speak Equestrian!” Pinkie Pie said, jumping fully out of the bush and doing a dance, drawing the attention (also startling) everything watching.

“Oh… Mh hmm…” Dan said, nodding his head and turning to the Vort.

“What do you make of all this? Are these things from ‘Zen’ or wherever you're from?” Dan asked, curiosity getting the better of him for the moment.

“No.” The vortiguant said, crossing his hands.

“Man of few words arent you?” Noah asked, looking over to the vort.

“Indeed.” The vortiguant blinked a few times.

An awkward silence settled over the clearing.

“Okay then… I guess it our turns…” Twilight said, stepping forwards with the rest of the 5 ponies.

“My name is Twilight Sparkle, element of magic. These are my friends. We come as representatives of Equestria, at least until you talk with the Princess…” Twilight said, rubbing the back of her neck.

“Oh… Alright. We can wait.” Noah said, plopping on to the log.

“Yeah, best not to argue with Noah.” Dan said to Amanda, then sat down.

“Well anyways, I'm Dan, the teams egghead.” Dan introduced himself, getting a snicker from Rainbow Dash and a roll of the eyes from Twilight.

“That's Amanda.” He pointed to Amanda, who waved. “She's the medic.”

Fluttershy perked up a bit that these aliens had probably really advanced medical machines. They had these weird stick-box things. They were obviously some sort of weapon.

“And that's Noah…” Dan said, pointing to Noah who sat up and waved, but not very enthusiastically. “… He's the heavy weapons specialist.” Dan finished up. Some of the ponies got a little on edge when he said ‘heavy weapons specialist’. The royal guard had crossbow specialists, so heavy weapons would be like a catapult. And nopony wanted an alien carrying a small catapult.

“Oh shit, and this is a vortiguant! Natives of another universe. Very wise and useful.” Dan said, showing the vort, who bowed in honour of meeting a new species.

“What a gentle… Thing.” Rarity said, not sure of gender.

“Don’t worry, he's probably fought the Combine so he's pretty much as much of a warrior as us.” Dan said, walking over to the log and sitting down along with the vort.

“Wait what? What's the Combine?!” Twilight said, stepping fordwards with the rest of her friends.

“Oh crap…” Dam said, gulping.

“Nice work dumbass.” Noah said, slapping him on the head.

This was gonna be a long, yet terrifying talk.
