Harmony Reborn

"Alright, so what you're saying is, I'm in a world full of sentient ponies?"

John sat and stared idly at the pony, who nodded her head.

"Do you know how I got here, or have any theories?"

"No," the pony said. "But maybe you can help us?"

"How?" John asked, clearly confused.

"With that skill, you could save Equestria!" the pony replied.

"And how, pray tell, can I do that?"

"Alright, I'll start from the beginning..." the pony began. "About five years ago, four villains, Tirek, Discord, Queen Chrysalis and King Sombra, defeated our princesses, Celestia, Luna, Cadence and Twilight Sparkle. They are being held in fortresses somewhere in Equestria, but everypony who went to go search never came back," the pony continued. "Since then, we've been living under their rule, and they've cause nothing but chaos, and have made our lives a living Tartarus. The only ponies that could possible save us were the Elements of Harmony. Princess Twilight was one of the elements though, the Element of Magic. With her gone, the other elements, Honesty, Kindness, Laughter, Generosity and Loyalty, were rendered useless. They went missing soon after the princesses were captured. Nopony has seen them since." The pony finished, sadness now overtaking her previously serious demeanor.

"So, I need to locate and reunite these Elements of Harmony, and rescue the princesses with their help?" John summarized.

"Pretty much."

"Alright, I'll help you. Can you give me a map? Or anything that might be useful on the journey? Food, Clean water, anything would help." John agreed.

"Great! I think there's a map in the abandoned market down the road, but i forgot which stall... and sorry, food and water have been scarce since the incident, and a lot of us have died of starvation and thirst." The pony was on the verge of tears.

"I'm sorry." John consoled the pony, noticing her emotions.

"Th-thank you..." The pony sniffled.

"Please excuse me, but I should begin my journey."

"Good luck..." The pony waved him off.

John's journey had begun.

In the Changeling Kingdom, a lone squadron of changelings approached their queen.

"My queen, we come bearing news"

"Hm? Oh. Alright, what is it?" Queen Chrysalis had been thinking when the changelings came in.

"A strange, bipedal creature has wiped out almost our entire battalion. We were the only survivors..."

"What?! Describe this creature to me." Chrysalis was surprisingly distressed at that time.

"It had to hind legs and two forelimbs, it used it's forelimbs to hurl magic and swing a sword, almost certainly conjured. It was in full clothing, sans the head, and had seemingly no coat of fur."

"Ugh, what a strange creature. But I can see this new creature posing a threat. Inform Tirek at once."

"Yes my queen!" The changelings flew off, leaving chrysalis to her thoughts.

How could one creature take out so many of my changelings? she wondered.
