Tirek, Discord, Queen Chrysalis and King Sombra have taken over Equestria, and the princesses were sealed away in a keep designated to each of the four chaotic overlords. Unable to cope with this new world, the Elements of Harmony scattered across Equestria, living in secret, so nobody could see their shame.
About 5 years later, a man no older than 20 mysteriously arrives in a seemingly post-apocalyptic land. Will he be able to reunite the elements, and free the princesses, or will he fail, leaving the ponies of Equestria to suffer for eternity?
