Shortly after Sam falls still, Rob does something that would have been classed as impossible, he kept her clinging on by his own soul.

Sam is barely clinging to life after being impaled by the stinger of a manticore after protecting her master from said beast. This will be the arc where we look at her recovery and how she'll most probably never be the same again.
