Surviving Is Magic

The sun shined through Twilight Sparkle’s window. The birds were chirping, not a cloud in the sky, it was the most perfect day. Twilight stirred awake in her bed and rolled over to look at her clock. 8:45. Twilight just sat there, thinking there was something she was suppose to do. Then it dawned on her. Today was the day where the S.S. Mane was leaving in Canterlot fifteen minutes from now!

“Spike!” she shouted. Spike jumped five from his bed into the air, Twilight caught him just in time.

“We need to leave now! The cruise ship is leaving in fifteen minutes! Quick, grab our bags and drop them in the carriage,” Twilight saw a carriage with two pegasi waiting. Spike and Twilight quickly threw clothes, food, hairbrushes, toothpaste, and several other things into their bags. They dashed outside and dropped their bags in the carriage, then they ran over to Applejack’s farm. They burst into her room.

“Applejack! We need to leave now!” But Applejack wasn’t in her bed. She was neatly folding some blankets over in the corner.

“Oh, hey Twilight! I just got up early to do some chores. I was just planning on seeing you to go, sugar cube,” she said.

“No time now, just drop your stuff in the carriage outside and let’s head on over to Fluttershy’s,” said Twilight. The two friends and Spike ran outside and quickly ran over to Fluttershy’s house. They didn’t realize that Fluttershy was already up and they ran right into her.

“Hi Twilight! Hi Applejack!” she said.

“Sorry about that Fluttershy. Listen, drop your stuff into the carriage outside, we need to leave for the cruise! After your done, got get the others and have them meet us here,” said Twilight. Fluttershy nodded nervously and ran outside towards Pinkie Pie’s house. Meanwhile, Twilight, Appljack, and Spike were in the carriage.

“Didn’t your alarm clock go off at seven?” asked Applejack.

“I don’t know! It’s been acting up all week, I tried to fix it with my magic, but it doesn’t seem to be working. I just don’t know what to do,” said Twilight. She quickly checked her watch she was wearing.

“Oh, great. We have ten minutes left,” said Twilight.

“Calm down, Twi, we’ll make it,” said Spike. He leaned over towards one of the pegasi.

“Hey, can you guys go extra fast so we can get there on time?” he whisped. The pegasus nodded. Suddenly, Twilgiht saw Fluttershy with Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity running towards her.

“Good! You guys are here. Just drop your stuff in the back and let’s go!” said Applejack. The ponies did as told and everyone hopped in.

“Everyone in?” asked one of the pegasi. Twilight counted to make sure everyone was here.

“Yes, wait… Where is Pinkie Pie?” The friends looked around for Pinkie and saw her up in a tree.

“Pinkie, what are you doing up there?” shouted Rainbow Dash.

“I wanna get a snack for the road,” said Pinkie, grapping an apple with her hoof.

“No time for snacks, and we’re not on the road, we’re in the sky, and I hate flying…” said Rarity.

“Rarity, I love you, but please, don’t dramatize everything…” thought Twilight. Pinkie quickly ran over and dropped in next to Fluttershy, who was smiling at her. Rainbow Dash made her way next  to Applejack.

“Ok, is everyone here now, Pinkie?” asked Twilight. Pinkie made a little sound which meant “here”.

“All right then, off we go!” said Spike. The pegasi went into the air in two seconds flat, and the whole gang was off to Canterlot, but will they be able to get there in time?
