2 Stallions, 1 Mare

The marketplace was busy; ponies were everywhere, going about their daily businesses, conversing, trading, and traveling. Novel, the writer pony, traveled to a small coffee-shop in the Ponyville marketplace, called the Cocoa Bean. He came here to meet his boyfriend, SodaPop. SodaPop was a Pegasus pony with sky-blue skin.

“What took you so long?” Soda teased, “I’ve been waiting for you all afternoon.”

Novel spoke with a dull, monotonous tone, “I’ve been working on a new book recently, you know that.”

Soda laughed, “I was joking. You don’t have to take everything so seriously.” He sipped the last of his coffee.

“Thank you.” Novel took a sip of his hot-cocoa, which had gone cold while Soda was waiting for him.

“So, what’s this book about?” Soda asked, carrying their conversation.

Novel groaned, “I don’t let anyone read my books before they are finished.”

“I know! I know.” Soda said innocently, “I just want to know what it’s about.”

“You’ll find out when it’s finished.” Novel growled.

The two sat in silence for awhile, Novel drank his cold-cocoa. Soda, sitting next to Novel, put his hoof around him.
“I have two tickets to see Hinny of the Hills.” Soda offers, “Would you like to come see it with me?”

Novel sighs, “As much as I like the theatrical arts, I’m busy with my book.” He sips his cold-cocoa.

“Oh… I guess I’ll have to see it by myself.” Soda says disappointedly.

Novel finishes his cocoa, “If you want, I’m available on Saturday. We can meet eachother here again.”

“Sure thing.” Soda grins. He kisses Novels cheek and takes off.

Blushing, Novel muttered “I-Idiot.”
