You just can't do anything right, can you?
My legs start to feel clammy and my eyes begin to water, as faint beeping sound echoes in the distance. I start opening my eyes and clamp them back shut from the bright morning light streaming through the window. I can feel my ears practically bleed as they're assaulted by the painfully loud beeping of my alarm clock. I reach of over to press snooze and check the time.
An audible groan escapes my lungs as I realize it's 9:00 A.M. and the alarm has been going off for the past hour. Even worse is that It just so happens to be Monday morning and I'm late for class. I swing my legs over the side of the bunk and fall out of bed. I walk over to my dresser to slip on some boxers, pull on some jeans, a shirt and hoodie and walk out the door. I hear a whooshing sound as I close the door and see that a paper has fallen from the door and onto the ground. I pick it up and see the words, "Neil likes to feel" accompanied by a crud, provocative drawing beneath it.
Typical.
I crumple of the paper and toss it in the waist bin next to me and walk down the hall. Thankfully my dorm is close to History and I hastily retrieve a granola bar for the vending machine and hurry downstairs to class in hopes of getting there before role call. As I walk through the door, I hear snickers from the back of class and earn a glare from Mr.T.
Mr. T was my History teacher. He was tall, lean and wore clothes that made him look like the grim reaper.
He had a scruffy white beard and short greying hair and and glare that could turn you to stone. He is always frowning and probably hates everyone. I only call him by that because his classes are so boring, that I can't pay enough attention to remember his last name.
"Explain why you were late to class Mr. Neil", he said in a tone that sounded soft, but could easily mistook for that of snake's hiss. I answer with a simple shrug and walk to my seat in the back. As per norm, I'm halfway across the room, as stray foot sticks out and trips me and I fall flat on my face. If I had my books right now, they would have strewn across the floor and through the air, speaking of which, I mentally slap myself for forgetting them. The act gains giggles and sniggers from around the room and the person who trip calls me a screw up and grins. That little shit, Thomas Berkley, he's been harassing me ever since we met. He and his goons would always go out of their way to fuck me over, and then think it's the funniest thing in the world. He always so full of himself because, like his other miscreants, are on the football team, so their sooo popular and everyone likes them, while I'm the little worm beneath their feet.
Class continues to drag on and as usual, I'm called for detention after class ended. School continues on, each class a different torture segment caused by missing assignments, constant bullying or both. Once lunch roles around, things start to climax. A lunch day on my terms, is almost always different, and by different I mean the type of bullshit those idiots do to me is surprisingly new each time, given their lack of brain cells. This time consists of having my food tray flipped up into my face as i get shoved into a wall.
After I get back to my dorm to change clothes, a siren sounds and I have to run out in front of the building before I can change. As it turns out, a water main burst and the school began to flood, making it impossible to return back to his dorm to sleep. So having been forced to leave early, I use some of my ever decreasing money to rent a room in a nearby hotel for the week so I can have a place to stay until they get whatever they need to fix, fixed. I drive out to the motel but I have to stop at the store first to pick up some food to last me. The need hurts my wallet a lot because the school usually prepares us with food and stocking up is not a problem. By the time I get to the motel, it's around 4:30 and I need to get ready to leave for my job, AKA. The custodian at a local McDonalds. I get to my room and set my lap-top (also provided by the school) and go on the thing that makes up for my shitty days.
Now some may call me weird, but I am into the well known show of, My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic, and I usually spend time on tumblr forums and FIMfiction.net. Part of my constant harassment is directed from this, but in my current state, it's pretty much the only thing I like now a days.
Anyways, I spend the next hour fucking around on tumblr and I'm ready to leave for my job. To make the day worse it start to drizzle, and then downpour and I'm caught in the middle of heavy traffic, making me late for work. When I show up, I'm told to go back in the kitchen to start mopping the floor and of course, my co workers hate me too. Four hours of mopping, scrubbing, sweeping and dishwashing pass and it's finally closing time. I'm sent up into the dining area to clean up while the others start to head home. The costumers had been very sloppy today and I found a spilt milkshake, two half eaten burgers, and a shit ton of wrappers and wrinkly napkins. Someone even managed to get ketchup splattered all over the wall.
After cleaning, it is my job to refill things like the soda fountain and the condiments. So far, the Coke and Pespi fountains seem to the only ones that are low while the others seem untouched. I make my way to the trash cans and empty and refill them, then over to the condiments and refill the ketchup and stuff. I found a wad of napkins covered in mustard and I have to refill the straws. The last thing I have to do is make sure the toilets aren't clogged, and to my luck, they look all right.
I head over to the door, turn of all the lights, lock the door behind me and walk over to my car to drive away. The road is pitch black except for my headlights and flashes of thunder. No that I notice it, the lighting seems to be really close and look... purple? As well as that, they all seem to be in the same area and the rain is starting to slow and stop. I take note that I'm in an open area on the outskirts of town because there was a lot traffic everywhere else, but out here, it's completely deserted.
The hair on my neck stands up and I slam the breaks as a lightning bolt strikes ground about 50-40 feet in front of me. But before I come to a stop , I skid enough to hit a purple mass hard enough to embed it in the windshield and in that moment I black out.
You just can't do anything right, can you?
Startling Find in a Bad Situation
As I start to wake up, I feel a huge mass right in my face, I here the sound of rain and all I can see is white. After a moment of wondering why I wasn't in my dorm, and that realizing I wasn't dead, I struggled to get the big air bag off of me. Once I do, I look around to see. The car I pretty much fine except for a spiderweb crack in the windshield. I take notice and see that the crack wasn't open and kept water from leaking in, but it was caved in a little because of-
WHAT THE HELL IS THAT
I nearly jump out of the car when I see a purple figure strewn about on the windshield and a lot of what fear is blood. My eyes can't quite make out exactly what it is but it seems really familiar and- OH SHIT! I need to get home, fast!
I was almost home, just barely speeding and in my passenger seat I had... the creature wrapped up in a blanket. When I found it, it had cuts and gashes all over and its front leg was bent at and odd angle. It was probably a bad idea, but while it was out, I took the chance to shift it back into place, parallel to the others, and tide an old ice scrapper to it with my sock, making a splint. As for the bleeding, I put wads of tissues over top to stop blood loss.
When I parked in front of the motel, i rapped it up more so that no one could see it and I went straight to my room. I went on my computer to search for ways to stop all the bleeding. When I finished, I decided to bandage minor cuts and covered gashes with bits of alcohol soaked cloth. I moved on to the broken organs checked the surface of the skin and found that had really just been dislocated and thankfully not broken. I properly popped it back into place, and in doing so woke the creature, with a yelp in fact. Good, at least there was no signs of brain damage so far, though I doubt that there isn't. She stayed awake for a little while- wait- yeah a she, but didn't say or do much, she looked really tired actually. After a while, her skin started to pale and I realized that it might have been the loss of blood. I remember something about how blood donors would eat sweets after donating and I realized that I should give her something for that, in not because she needs to eat. I go over to the fridge and grab some carrots and a bag of sugar along with a glass of water. When she saw come over, she hid under the blanket and shook. I figured I must be scaring her so I just left the food there and watch from a far. I hope she comes out and starts eating soon.
After a few minutes, she sticks here hoof- yeah... that's a hoof- and snatches up a carrot. A few seconds later she repeats the process. She than slowly, but surely, arose from beneath the blanket and began to eat. Before she tried to eat the sugar or get a drink, she made a little grunt and scrunched up her face and then just began to lap them up like a dog would. After she finished, I walked out from where I was standing and slowly came up to her.
"Hello?" I ask
She recoils at the sound of my voice but does not retreat beneath the blanket again.
"H-Hewo?" She stutters through what I now see are chipped and missing teeth. She was also surprised by the way she sounded and lifted a hoof to here face, only to cringe in pain.
"Thaw-we"
"It's alright"
"Ooh cah u-uddasand me?"
"Well, kinda. It's kinda hard to get what you're saying with all those broken teeth."
"Ooh. Thaw-we."
Any further conversation was cut of as she sighed hard and past out.
"Are you all right? Hello? HELLO?"
I rushed over to help her and found that she had stopped breathing.
