Pinkie Pie's POV
From Flutters to the Castle: 2
Since Rarity had been so excited over the pregnancy of her new Pet Sapphire, she had apparently chosen to have a try on a pregnancy of her own. Trusting in Flutter Shy’s abilities, she chose for her to help her out with the details under the cover. Then she had chosen to have it finalised at Twilly’s castle, she figured it was the best place to do it secretly.
I had agreed on helping her, so I bounced off to the cottage in the hopes Flutter Shy would be there, or at the very least somewhere close by. Apparently, I was right, she was at home as I got there. With that, I give her door a firm signature knocking.
“Hiya, Pinkie Pie. Come on in!” she peeped in response in her fairly quiet voice.
I slipped in quietly, after I had opened the door and then quickly closed it quietly behind me.
“Hiya, Flutters!” I responded in a more subdued tone of voice in respect of my friend and her critters.
“Nice to see you over at my place. What is the errand, this time?” she responded to the point.
“I heard you helped Rarity, impregnating her new Pet Sapphire. Now she wanted he same favour for herself, apparently. I take it she was very happy with the services for her pet!” I explained.
“Yeah, I did help her with the impregnation of Sapphire. The result is positive according to the early indications, Sapphire should be delivering in about eleven months from the occasion, which is about a month ago. Did you say she wanted to have an impregnation for herself?” Flutters enquired, curiously in a hushed voice.
“Apparntly, yes. She asked me to convey the request. Unless it is a problem on your part, she wanted it performed today at Twilly’s castle since she figured it would be a good place for her!” I pointed out.
“Guess today is as good as any time and her palace should work. If you want to keep it quiet, none would suspect us meeting her there. Just let me fetch the equipment, and we could be going right away!” Flutters responded.
“Okeley, dokeley. In the end, we can always relay on you, as scared as you may be on occasion. Yet, you are always there, ready to make a difference when it matters the most!” I pondered as she gathered the few items required and slipped them into her saddle bags, before she approached the door on her way out.
“I am ready, let’s go to Twilight!” she stated as she opened the door for both of us.
“This will be interesting, I guess. Rarity will be thrilled to learn that you will help her!” I pointed out as I closed the door behind her as we left her cottage on our way to the castle in the other end of the village.
Of course Fluttershy had all the required medical equipment packed readily in her saddle bags as I closed the door behind her, before I lead her along the path through the woods, and the village towards the castle. Would have been entirely pointless, if she had not packed what she would be required to use upon arrival.
“Since you are Pegasus, you would be more comfortable flying. Besides, you would be safer there, while you do need to practice your flying as well. I’ll just be right behind you, bouncing merrily, as we progress towards the castle!” I pointed out.
“You do have me there, I still am a Pegasus, even after I exiled myself from Coudsdale. Bouncing seems to be your signature gait. There is always something fun, funny or exciting going on or waiting to burst forth, in your presence!” she responded as she flapped her wings and took off, leaving the ground a few feet under her hooves.
“We all know the joy of flight, just that some of us know it more intimately, like Rainbow Dash, who also happen to be the one of us who enjoy her flight the most. Rarity sure enjoyed her visit to Cloudsdale, the day we were there in order to cheer her on, on the competition she promptly won in her spectacular manner. Hay, even I enjoy flying, like when Twilly turned me into a Breezy. yeah, I tend to bounce forth on my way to where ever I go!” I responded.
“I guess the lot of you have me to thank for going there. Had I not been such a worthless cheer leader, none pf you had been asked to go. On the other hand, I had a few interesting experiences, flying. Some more exciting, like when I helped Rainbow Dash with her tornado for Cloudsdale, and some less exciting, like when Twilight turned me into that bat. At first, before I realised it, I guess I did enjoy it, though!” she conceded.
“I guess your timid manners and your quiet voice makes you into a very poor prospect in cheering. At the arena, you need to be heard over the crowd. Otherwise, you are great at what you do. No Pony else could do, what you do every day. No Pony could care for the critters, great and small in the way you do. This exactly why Rarity trust in you, and why she specifically asked for you to assist her in this. It is very sensitive and important for her!” I responded.
“Since I enjoy the quiet solitude, although I still enjoy having all my friends around. Unlike you, I don’t require to have Ponies crowding me, smiling and cheering at all times!” I responded, just as we breached the city limit.
“Keeping every Pony happily smiling is my place, just as you care for the critters. The Ponies of our village needs both of us. And I certainly do need them all. As much as I do hate the moment and how it felt, I still can’t shake it out of my head. The one time when you all prepared a surprise party for me. Just as much as I love what you did for me, what led up to it almost crushed me. To be alone, none to trust and no friends around is a physical pain to me. I truly hope that will never happen again, ever!” I pointed out firmly, shaking my head as if to shake something out and away from me.
“Oh, I know that feeling only too well. As much as I love singing, and loved every time we performed for the Ponies, from the first time, to the very last. When all the Ponies stared at me, all of a sudden. It felt as if I was about to die, there was no escape. I was surrounded on all sides. The silliest thing is that I did throw down the curtains myself. I fear I actually did that on purpose as well!” she responded.
“Yeah, but we all love the concerts, even if none of us, short of the once in the Ponytones knew it was you all along. On the other hoof, we all loved your song, even before you performed on the stage. You did know that, right?” I put forth.
“Oh yeah, I vividly recall that. That is why I constantly had to tell Raity to accept the next request for a new Concert. I couldn’t make myself see her deny any of them a Concert, even considering how scared I was. Even behind the stage, behind a curtain. I simply enjoyed and still do enjoy singing too much to turn any of them down!” she responded with a weak smile.
“You certainly did show that clearly enough. Just as your voice carried you all the way through every last opportunity to sing for us. I guess it is amusing, when I think of it, Even Applejack complimented you, even if she thought it was her brother Big Macie singing on the stage!” I responded.
“When you put it like that. When I think back, that was amusing, alright. Almost as if he had intended to give me the excuse to sing all along, even before he knew it?” she proposed.
To my surprise, I could see Spike waiting by the door, well before we even approached the castle. He was standing, as if he had been one of these palace guards, although he obviously was looking for us. Then his face lite up at the instant he recognised us.
Of course I knew he loves having me around with all the silly antics, but this time it was more than that. He had been posted by the door for a good while, instructed to lead us to where Rarity and Twilly were waiting for us. That would most likely be in the basement.
“Hiya, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy!” he greeted us in turn.
“Hiya, Spikie!” I responded.
“Hi, Spike!” Flutters echoed, a mere moment later.
“Well, come right in. I was instructed to lead you right to Twilight!” he pointed out, indicating the stiff order behind his actions.
“Okeley, dokeley!” I responded.
“She is quite the mistress, our Princess?” Flutters inquired as she saw Spikes face, once the greeting was swiftly swept out of the way as we moved into the castle and Spike closed the door with some force.
“She sure is, today more so than usual, though.
On second thought, he was actually walking along the way in the manner of a Regal Knight, as I cast a side glance his way.
I mainly just bounced along the way, looking at all the books she had stuffed the shelves with. She has so many, thick as thin, ordinary mixed in with the rare. Then Spike reached the flight of stairs, leading us down to the basement, from there he continued to the fairly small room, where Rarity and Twilly waited for us.
He knocked the door gently, knowing Rarity is waiting in the room.
“Enter”, she responded in a stately, very dignified tone of voice, just an instant before Spike pulled the door open.
The next moment we spill in, facing the scene Twilly had built up, mainly for the comfort of Rarity, naturally.
“Hiya, Rarity!” I greeted her.
“I finally managed to fetch them, just as you instructed, Princess!” Spike pointed out.
“Then you are free to leave, Spike. I am certain, you have more interesting matters to attend to, and if not, you still do have shores to tend to!”Twilight pointed out, firmly.
“Thanks, Twilight!” he responded as he dropped out of the room, no doubt walking towards his end of the library on the second floor, the section where the comics were stored.
“Hi, Twilight and Rarity!” Flutttershy greeted our gathered friends.
“Hiya, Rarity!” I greeted her, looking at her for a moment.
“Thank you for summoning Fluttershy, PinkiePie!”she responded with a courteous nod of her head.
“It was just fun, and for you, I would do just about anything, you know that, Rarity!” I pointed out.
This wasn’t a scene, or a situation for such a young Dragon to see. He probably would see more than enough of such things, soon enough, once he grew old enough.
