Author Note: This Fanfic was wrote to kickstart a newly created shipping of The Great and Powerful Trixie and Braeburn. I'm hoping it will give inspiration to other writers and possibly expand the horizons of the TrixBurn, and convince others to give Trixburn a chance and more Importantly to write TrixBurn fanfiction. Honestly, this is the first TrixBurn Fanfic that I've seen... Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope you like my fanfic!
After several moments, Trixie asked, "What things do you want to know about?", a mixture of fear and intrigue on her voice, whilst she looked at Braeburn. He took moments to even speak, Trixie knew he was trying to find the best way to ask, "Don't be worried...", said Trixie in a calm tone, whilst she rubbed her hoof across his arm, as she smiled.
Braeburn smiled, whilst he looked at her, "Trixie, tell me about your past. What happened before you came here, and before the 'Ponyville Incident', tell me what happened when you were a little filly. What made you want to be 'The Great and Powerful Trixie'?", asked Braeburn as he looked at her, he saw that she had fear and worry on her fact, and he was worried himself, not knowing what he was going to hear.
Trixie teared up a little as she spoke, "When I was a little filly, I was a loving filly, I'd help anypony who needed it, I had a happy life, but... then It happened", Trixie teared up more, she started to cry, as Braeburn comforted her, Trixie continued to speak once more, "My parents had frequent arguments and sometimes Dad would beat her up cause of it. He drank frequently, a couple of bottles a day. Every time it happened, I would cry, as I watched him beat her up, in front of me, and listen to the arguments all night...", Trixie cried hard, as Braeburn comforted her.
"But that wasn't the worst of it, when I was young, Dad and Mom split up, and I was left out in the rain, somepony found me, and took me in, but for me, It was too late, I wanted my mom. But in time, I bonded with the pony that took me, but I idolised my mom, still thought as them as my mom... not the pony that took me in. I saw mom once in a while, but she told me I was going to be a star, and I latched on to it, It became part of me, my shell for coping, It changed me...", cried Trixie, as she nuzzled her face in to Braeburn's fur.
"Momma told me I was going to be a Star... I was going to be a star... I lost it all", cried trixie, as she nuzzled in to Braeburn's fur, Braeburn nuzzled her head as she cried, "Momma said I was going to be a Star, I wanted to prove to her, make her proud..." said Trixie as she was comforted by Braeburn.
"Miss, you could still be a star, you just need to drop that attitude, that shell you had, you need to convince everypony out there that you are a kind pony, and more Importantly, that you've changed... I'm totally sure everypony will give you another chance, If you take the time to prove yourself to them. You can get the life back that you had before, I'm sure...", said Braeburn, whispering in to Trixie's ear as he comforted her, he nuzzled her head, and laid with her as they talked more.
"I'm sure your right, what else do you want to know?" asked Trixie, as she was still crying, but was happy, finally getting closure of what had been there for a long time, untended. She snuggled in to him, the tears stopped slowly.
Once the tears had stopped, Braeburn spoke again, "I'm wondering, why me? Why not somepony somewhere else? Why did you pick me over everypony else out there?", Braeburn looked in to her eyes after he asked, she teasingly smiled, that same smile again, she delayed the answer as he looked on at her, confused.
"Your kind, you helped piece my life back together, and close a chapter in my life that has spanned a large chunk of my life. You've helped me more than anypony else in my life, right now, I'm feeling better than I have for a long time, and what do I owe it to? You! Right now, there is nobody else I'd want to be with, your so important to me, even if I've only know you for a little while, your Important to me... So Important!", said Trixie, after silence that lasted minutes. She nuzzled Braeburn as she spoke, she savoured his warmth, his touch and most Importantly, him.
Braeburn smiled, as he nuzzled her head, "Miss, I'm happy to of been such a help to you. I'm just... are you... s-sure you'd be ready for a relationship? This soon?", asked Braeburn as he nuzzled her more. He looked in to her eyes, as he waited for a response, she also looked back at his eyes, she delayed the answer as he looked on at her once more, Braeburn smiled, as he nuzzled her head more, whilst he waited for her reply.
Finally, Trixie replied to Braeburn's question, "N-no, I'm not ready for a relationship, I-I just want us to be close, kisses and cuddles, but not a relationship, I'm not ready for that...", Braeburn nodded, and looked deeply in to her eyes, and kissed her deeply, before he finally pulled away...
"If that's what you want Trixie, that is what you will get!", said Braeburn after the kiss, they both smiled, and looked at each other. Braeburn continued, "A relationship is something we can look at in the future", Braeburn nuzzled Trixie more, and laid with her, looking at the curtains.
Finally, Trixie broke away from the nuzzle and looked at him, as she kissed his nose, she spoke, "Well, you know most of my life, how about you? You said you'd share your life with me as well... So, tell me, how was life like whilst you were growing up?", Trixie looked in to his eyes more, as she waited for Braeburn to respond, he smiled, as he delayed the response for a moment.
Finally, Braeburn spoke, after he readjusted himself, so they were both comfortable as he spoke, he nuzzled her head, "As a little colt, I was always intrigued by apples, and making friends. I would play with my friends as my parents would buck apples of the trees, but It wasn't all plain easy sailing, there were moments where my family couldn't pay the bills, and our "Perfect" life would be in jeopardy once again, but we'd normally get through it together and come out stronger than ever before. Although, I was bullied by some people in school, my life has been good, I'm proud of my life..." said Braeburn, he readjusted himself some more, as he looked in to Trixie's eyes more, they both smiled as they looked at each other.
Trixie gave her opinions on his younger years whilst she had a chance to do so, "Hmm... I see, I'm glad you've had a good life, maybe at some point you can make my life perfect and happy! One day, you can make me a happy mare, more happy than I am right now, as I nuzzle in to you and look in to your eyes. For me, this moment is perfect bliss, I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world, this is our moment, our first moment together. and, I don't think I've ever had a moment that's been as perfect as this...", Trixie smiled as she looked at him more, truly happy.
Braeburn passed Trixie her cup of tea as he sipped his, Trixie drank slowly from the cup, as she tried to keep her eyes on Braeburn and keep the bliss that had happened from leaving her again. "I promise to love him, to care for him, cherish him and be there for him, Please don't ruin this, Trixie..." thought Trixie, as she looked at Braeburn, unknown that he was had thought something along the same lines, as she finished her cup of tea, she nuzzled braeburn's neck, smiling.
"Would you like to go out today, see if we can get you some clothes, and some other things you might want, even see If we can start pushing your new Image and proving to the townsfolk that you have changed! That's if, you want to yet, or do you want to give it some more time? I don't want to pressure you in to anything that you don't want to do!" asked Braeburn as he nuzzled Trixie, she smiled, she took a little time before she responded.
"Umm... I'm totally up for shopping, what mare isn't?", Trixie giggled, and Braeburn joined in a little, nodding, smiling. Trixie continued speaking, "But I'm not totally sure about proving to the townsfolk that I have changed, Will you be there next to me? I don't want to feel like I'm doing this alone...", Trixie looked at Braeburn with a worried look, half scared and half happy, Braeburn was quick to notice it.
Braeburn took a little to respond, as he nuzzled trixie, and comforted her, Finally, he spoke. "Mares love shopping, and I want you to be treated like a mare! Before people were treating you like some bad person, which I know your not. Your not bad at all. You know I wouldn't leave you to talk to them without me being by your side, comforting you and keeping you safe. What colt wouldn't protect a defenceless mare?" said Braeburn when he finally spoke, he continued to nuzzle trixie, and comfort her after he was finished.
Trixie's feelings were hurt a little, and she took a moment to speak, but when she did, the anger was showing. "Defenceless? I'll let you know, I AM NOT... Defenceless! You make me sound like I'm some weak creature, who needs others.", she teared up a little, "I don't want people to think that of me!" said Trixie when she continued speaking, she cried a little and Braeburn nuzzled her.
Braeburn took a moment to respond, but when he did, he was totally calm and understanding of the situation. "Look, Trixie. I didn't mean it to come out like that, honestly. Don't cry, please. You are defenceless though, they will make fun of you, and do all the stuff that the other townsfolk in the other towns did. I'm here to keep you safe...", said Braeburn as he nuzzled Trixie more, she had stopped the tears by now.
Trixie looked at Braeburn, and spoke. "I suppose your right...", Trixie sighed, looking at Braeburn, she went and got her cape and hat from the table and put them on. "Ok, are we ready to get on with this?" asked Trixie as she smiled, Braeburn got off the bed and walked down the stairs with Trixie, to the front door, not saying a word. They held hooves together and opened the door, walking out in to the sun, and in to the town.
