The 1232nd

In the middle of a dark forest, the javelin pod called 'Santa Maria' landed in a clearing. With a sudden pop, the door of the pod flew several feet and Rex stepped out of it. He took a quick look around the area then turned back to the pod to grab the supplies he was sent with. They were basic supplies consisting of one large combat knife, twenty throwing knives, thirty-two ounces of explosive clay, right handed flamethrower gauntlet, two small first aid kits, one large pack of jerky, and one water bottle.

After grabbing everything, he thought of his next move. 'Alright, so I landed in the middle of a creepy forest of an alien planet , i have no idea where the other pods are because the radar is in the Niña, and I only have enough food to last me a week. Well this is going to be a pain.' He looked up at a mountain with a castle on it. 'I should avoid going there until I have to. If there is sentient life here still, they'll be there and I need to avoid contact with the locals for now.' He then looked down and examined the ground. 'The ground is soft and the soil is rich, it seems no one has been here. That means either this forest is really big or really dangerous.' Next he looked up at the sky. 'There doesn't seem to be a cloud in the sky and the sun is just rising now. That gives me a day to at least find shelter.' With everything set and done, he choose a random direction and began walking.

While he walked through the forest, he lost himself in thoughts. 'Why the hell do I have to be here anyway. I mean it's not like i was doing anything but still who would want to be stranded on an alien planet with no info what so ever. What was the director even thinking when she decided to send me on a mission like this? She knows I'm more useful with annihilation then exploration. Her of all people should know that-.' His thoughts were then interrupted by a low growl from behind him.

He turned around and was shocked by what he saw. It looked like a feline at first glance but, just looking at it paints a different picture. It seems to have the body and head of a cat but the legs, tail, eyes, and even tongue of a lizard. It had talon like claws on its front paws and wider claws made for running. With no reason to stay there Rex took off like a bat out of hell. Now a normal man would probably only last a few seconds running but the general was different from normal people. He ran for a minute or two before another one jumped him from the left. They hit the ground with the creature on the top sinking its teeth into his left arm. Thinking quickly he pointed his flamethrower at its face burning it and getting it to back off.

He stood up against a tree ignoring the pain in his arm as the one that chased him, the burned one, and a third one cornered him. With no other option he prepared to attack. First, he grabbed a piece of clay as the first one lunged at him. He dodged by flipping over it while placing and igniting the clay and decapitating it. Then as the other two were turning he brought out his knife and stabbed the third one in the side of its heart. Finally he grabbed a throwing knife and threw it hitting if right in the forehead. Unfortunately, the knife didn't go through the skull and it was stunned so he walked up to it and stepped on the knife pushing it in finishing it off.

After all was said and done he pulled the throwing knife out and went to a nearby stream to wash it off. He then put it away and got out one of the first aids to clean and dress his wound. He took out a bottle labelled DIB and drizzled it on his wound. It sizzled for a minute then stopped. He then got a needle and thread and began sewing the wound closed. When he was done, he grabbed a roll of gauze and wrapped it. Afterword he got up and went on his way with one last thought going through his head. 'Looks like this will be more of a pain then I thought it would be, man life sucks.'

Back on Earth in an unknown area underground on a base a long spiky haired girl stomped through two large doors to a cafeteria looking place. After looking around and spotting a big man with a metal bottom jaw reading and a girl with sharp metal teeth eating a bowl of nuts and blots, she walked up them. "Oi, Ironmen, Silvershurk, where the hell is the boss!" The spiky haired girl said in anger.

"Why on Earth would you think that we would know where he is?" The man known as Smith Ironmen said looking up from his book.

"Everyone knows that if he's not in his room sleeping he's here eating!" She yell back.

"So since we're here that means we know where he is! In what world does that make sense?" He retorted.

"Shh, shh, shh, you're a really stupid girl," The girl named Mia Silvershurk laughed in between mouthfuls .

"WHAT DID YOU CALL ME!" The other girl shouted.

"Enough you three!" The three of them stopped what they were doing and turned to the source of the voice. They were greeted by a strawberry blonde woman in chain mail. "You all know better than to fight here," She sternly said to the trio as she stepped into the cafeteria.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't bosses loyal guard dog," Sassed the spiky haired girl.

"First Lieutenant of the Demolition Team Lanna Bomba, I'm your superior and you should treat me as such," The chainmail woman stated as she grabbed her food and sat down at a empty table.

"Oh how rude of me, My apologies Grand Lieutenant General Viva Valkyriena," said Bomba rolling her eyes. "By the way do you know where the boss is?"

"If you're referring to Elite General Paradox, he was just got sent on a mission," answered Valkyriena.

"What!? What mission would they have him go on all of a sudden?"

"That information is classified and only four star or higher have clearance to know."

"OK, so how long until he gets back then," Bomba said slightly getting annoyed.

"I don't know," Valkyriena said with a hint of worry in her voice.

There was an awkward silence before Bomba spoke again. "Well then, I'll just wait for him to return. So see ya around." With that said she left the cafeteria.

It took most of the day but Rex made it to the end of the forest without anymore distraction. While he went through the forest he did find the ruins of a castle that could be used for shelter so that's good. He also found a hut, but it looked lived in so he figured that he should be careful in the forest near the edge. He walked around the edge while staying hidden to see if there were any signs of life, predators, and the other pods. While he was walking he spotted one of the pods next to a cottage covered in animals like an animal sanctuary. As he got closer he noticed a group of five creatures on two legs heading towards the pod.

The one in front had a yellow body, from what he could see, since it was wearing a green neckline shirt and a modest white skirt. It also had long wavy strawberry pink hair that stopped at it's lower back and what looked like a tail. In fact they all had tails, and two of them had wings like the yellow one, one had a horn, and the other two had neither. Another thing he noticed that they all looked female by the feminine features they had but without any more info he couldn't be sure. The one behind the yellow one was orange with blonde hair and tail both held in ponytails by two red scrunchies. It was wearing a white tank-top with an orange and red plaid shirt, jean shorts, and what looked like a cowboy hat. There was a light blue one with wings flying above the orange one wearing a black sleeveless shirt and dark gray biker shorts. It's hair and tail was shaggy but the odd thing was they were every color of the rainbow. Behind the light blue and orange one was the one with the horn. It was white like a blank paper wearing a black knee length skirt and a purple blouse that matched is curly purple hair and tail. The last one behind the others was pink, just a couple different shades of pink. It's hair and tail was a deep dark pink while the rest of it's body was light pink. The only thing that wasn't pink were it's clothes which were a yellow t-shirt and Easter blue yoga shorts.

When they got to the pod they were close enough that he could hear them and his suspicions were right. Their voices were female sounding. The first one to speak was the orange one, "so Fluttershy is this that thing ya'll was talkin' about."

"Yes it is," the yellow one replied.

"So well what is it?" the blue one asked hovering over the pod.

"I didn't know," the yellow one known as 'Fluttershy' began. "I just came out of my house to feed the animals when it crashed into the ground right here."

"Well does anypony have an idea what it is?" the blue one asked. After asking the pink one began madly waving her hand in the air like she was waiting to be called on. The blue one looked at her and sighed before asking,"Yes Pinkie?"

"Maybe it's a piece of an alien space craft that was in the sky and the aliens are probably coming back for it because it has important things in it that will decide the fate of the world as we know it," said the pink one without taking a breather. To give her credit she wasn't that far off from the truth of things.

"Pinkie dear I think you're letting your mind get the better of you again," the white one commented to her silly companion. "By the way why isn't Twilight here?"

"She got an urgent message from the princess to go to Canterlot," the orange one answered. "She should be back soon."

"Well maybe we should go and wait for her," the blue one suggested. "She might know something about this thing." They all nodded in agreement and ran back to where they came.

When the coast was finally clear Rex left his hiding spot and went to the pod. He checked it and found that it was the 'Niña'. Thanks to his luck things were going smoothly but he knew his luck would end sooner or later so he had to move fast just in case the natives returned. Steadying his stance, he wrapped his arms around the pod and with one mighty heave he pull the pod right out of the ground. With everything set, he tossed the pod over his shoulder and headed to the castle ruins he saw for the night. Little did he know that six eyes were watching him from the shadows.
