War. War never changes. But ponies do. Especially pegisai. Once the bombs started to fall, and the great pegasus city of Cloudsdale was obliterated, the pegisai closed the sky. A great cloud curtain covered the land, blocking out the sun, and covering the surface with darkness, rain, and death.
Years passed, and soon the Grand Pegasus Enclave, was born. It hid under the mask of democracy and safety, when it was really a military dictatorship under that mask. Those who spoke out against the Enclave were silenced immediately. Those who tried to leave, where branded as Dashites, traitors, and were never allowed back.

Rain fell from the clouds, thunder shook the sky, as lightning streaks danced through the air.
The icy rain soaked my white bloodstained coat, and stung at my wounds, as I lay in the collapsed building. I could hear bullets pinging off the wall I lay behind, as well as magical bolts sizzling the wall opposite to me.
The cold rainwater dripped into the bullet holes that riddled what was left of my barding, agitating my wounds. My sides ached, and my legs burned from the water flowing over the cuts and burns that covered them.
I got up and looked out the window, then spied two snipers on the roof of the opposite building. I entered S.A.T.S. and targeted their heads with my magnum, two each, and fired.
Bang, one shot slammed into the first one's shoulder making him twist sideways. Bang, the second shot blew half his head clean off. Bang, the third shot hit the second one in the chest throwing him off his hooves.
Click.
I withdrew from the window as more bullets and bolts flew through it. Fuck. That was the last of my ammo. I checked my guns and inventory, which confirmed my knowledge.
I slumped down against the wall.
Well now what?
I then got up and walked over to a nearby puddle and looked at my reflection.
Wary, bright red eyes stared back at me. My red and gold mane was soaked. The tip of the golden colored lightning bolt, that started at the back of my mane and continued all the way to the front, drooped in front of my face. My wings had bullet holes in them that burned as the rain washed over them. Half my barding was missing ,and what was left was covered in holes, revealing my cutie mark of a golden lightning bolt piercing a dark grey cloud on my right flank, and a brown spot in the shape of a thunder cloud on my left.
How the hell did you get yourself in this mess, lightning?
I chuckled to myself, as I closed my eyes and shook my head. Not very long ago I was just an orphan mare living on the streets of the city of Lightning Hoof, where I had to steal to be able have at least one meal each day. Funny what could change in such a short time.....
