Just a lab rat
Day 1
Load Full StoryNext ChapterMy eyes shot open as I felt a wave of heat splash against my face. I can't remember anything. Who am I? Where am I? What do I look like? My vision came back to me, and I could see above me a large, brightly blinding lamp. Above it was concrete supported by what looked like steel beams. My mind was in a haze. I can't focus on anything for to long. I try to lift my head to observe my surroundings, only to discover I can't move. As the realization hit me, I could feel my limbs were strapped down with leather. I cringed as I felt cold metal sting my naked body. I wiggled my hooves and tried to flap my wings in a void attempt to free myself. I opened my mouth, still searching for how to call for help. Instead, I found myself uttering strange words. "Am I?... Where? What'sss... goin' on?"
"Fine question, my dear. But I shall be zhe one to ask zhem." A voice with a strange accent replied to me, only to raise more questions. I once again forced my jaws to separate for more verbal exchange.
"Huh... Who are you?" I asked the voice, not knowing where it came from.
"No no no. Vhat did I just say?" With those words, I felt bolts of electricity running up and down my spine, causing my brain to crash back into consciousness, screams of agony escaping my throat, acoustically bouncing around the room and deafening me. "Now, lets get down to business. I vill ask you a series of questions, und you vill answer zhem honestly, or I vill send 10 volts of electricity surging zhrough your body, am I clear?"
"Go to hell!" I retorted aggressively. I felt another jolt as I was shocked to my core, blurring my vision temporarily. When it stopped, it left me hyperventilating, convulsions rocking my body and making me very uncomfortable. "Yes sir." I corrected, not wanting to get electrocuted again.
"Now, your name is Rainbow Dash, no?" He asked.
"I don't remember." I tell him.
"Very good. See how zhis vorks? You tell me vhat I ask, I get my answers, und you don't get electrocuted. It's a vin-vin." He said in an honestly positive tone. "Now, do you remember vhat you look like?"
"No." I answered, realizing how odd these questions sounded.
"Do you remember zhe names of anyone you used to know? Family, friends, anypony?"
"No."
"Vhy do you zhink you're here?"
"I don't know. Why are you asking me these things?" I asked, praying he wouldn't punish me again.
"Vell, it doesn't matter now, because it's over now. Bye-bye!" He replied. I felt a needle penetrate my flank, making me feel light headed.
"No, wait! Wha..." I used the last of my energy to utter those words. I drifted into unconsciousness, my last thoughts lingering as I passed out. My name's Rainbow Dash?
My eyelids fluttered open slowly, my vision still blurry. That last thought was somehow still in my head, making my mind do loop-de-loops as I kept on thinking it over. My name's Rainbow Dash. I kinda like that. I mean, it's better than anything I could've thought up, right?
I could see a white, smooth sealing above. I was definitely in a different room. Maybe that entire experience was just a dream? I felt a very soft surface beneath me. It was very comfortable, and it made me want to snuggle against it. I rolled over, letting me know that I was no longer strapped down.
The room I was in was a basic bedroom, with a window that had sunlight beaming from it. There was a wooden dresser sitting against the wall across from me. The walls lacked posters, just a baby blue wallpaper. The door was closed over, appearing to not be locked. The floor was a light brown carpet that looked well vacuumed and maintained. I finally decided to get off of the bed, sitting up and scooting to the edge. My hooves met the carpet, giving me a rather pleasant tingling sensation.
I stood up, making me dizzy. I stumbled to the doorway, leaning against it for support. I opened the door, making it creak slowly as it swung. I regained my energy and looked back into the room I was still in. I noticed on top of the dresser was a neatly folded pair of white clothes. I walked over to it and held it in my hooves. I unfolded it, and realized that I was still naked. I put on the white jumpsuit, discovering that it was surprisingly comfy.
I walked out the door to the bathroom just across from it. I turned on the sink, taking the water and splashing it over my face, letting it drip down and get my jumpsuit wet. I looked up, to the mirror. So this is what I look like? I have cyan fur, violet eyes, and a rainbow colored mane that I thought looked a bit flashy, but for the most part, not bad. I touched my face, enjoying the feeling of my hoof trailing across the fur of my cheek.
It felt satisfying for some reason, and it brought a smirk to my face. I love this! This feels awesome! I have a face! And it's 20% cooler than I thought it would be. Soon I had both my hooves rubbing my still wet cheeks, causing me to experience some sort of face orgasm. And it felt awesome! I kept on doing it for about 10 minutes, until I finally realized that it was probably whatever drug that dude gave me earlier, if that was even real. I walked out of the bathroom and looked both ways.
Across from me was the bedroom, to the right was a dead end, to the left was a staircase that went down. I walked down the staircase. At the bottom was a large room, and it had an entire wall of bookshelves. Their was a piano in the middle of the room. The front of the room had a giant window. I gazed out of it, their were trees and a lawn. It looked about midday. I walked over to the piano, and started pressing random keys. I didn't know how to play piano, but it didn't sound that bad. I heard a scratching sound come from the kitchen.
I got up to investigate, walking into the doorway that led to the kitchen. Their was a weird breathing sound coming from one of the cupboards, I walked towards it and opened it. And there, in the cupboard, was a naked, terrified pegasus filly. She had a purple mane and orange fur. She hid her face behind her knees, and she was shaking with fright. She momentarily looked up at me with those afraid purple eyes. She screamed and immediately ducked back in.
"I'm not gonna hurt you." I cooed softly, trying to reassure her that I wouldn't. She just looked at me, still terrified at the very sight of me. What was she afraid of? I mean, I know I look terrible, but not that terrible! I could tell she wasn't going to talk to me. So I just sat on the counter waiting for her to come out. I sat there for what felt like hours, but their were no clocks so I couldn't tell. She finally came out and stood there. I tried to get up and look at her, but as soon as I moved she ran up stares as fast as she could.
"No, wait! I won't... hurt you." She had already disappeared up the staircase. I went upstairs to find her hiding under the bed. I bent down to bring her eye-to-eye with me. I tried to reach out to her, but she sunk even deeper under the bed. I pulled my hoof back, not wanting to isolate her more. Who is she? I don't know, why but for some reason I felt like I had to help her.
We had sat there for what felt like hours. I made her some oatmeal and brought it up to her. She simply took it and began wolfing it down like no tomorrow.
"Hey. Where's my thank you?" I asked. She didn't stop eating. She ate it without a spoon even! She kept on eating nonstop until there was nothing left. Then she looked up at me with a grateful look. Oh, so I get a look but not a thank you? Then it hit me.
"You can't talk, can you?" I asked. She looked at me for a second, and then she shook her head. How can she not talk? She looks about 9 years old! What the fuck? We stayed silent for the rest of the night. I crawled into the bed, which was big enough for the two of us, but she wouldn't get in bed with me. I had to sleep on the floor for the night.
