Day 2

I looked around the dark room, silent as our flight instructor, Spitfire, gave the briefing. The projector gleamed in her eyes, but somehow she was able to go on without having to shield them. I looked to my left. My wingpony, Thunderlane, was sitting next to me. He had an enthusiastic look on his face, paying attention to Spitfire with anticipation. Me, on the other hoof, my mind was elsewhere. I couldn't stop thinking of how far I had gotten in the program. When I signed up, I never would've thought that I would get this close to being promoted. This was our last training sortie. Oh shit! That's why Thunderlane's listening! I looked at Spitfire. She was explaining that we were doing a routine combat scenario over the Capital District. I reckon the tall buildings will make it difficult to do low altitude maneuvering. Great.

I woke up on the floor of the bedroom. That was a weird dream. Who were those ponies, and how did I know their names? And why am I on the floor?! Oh, right. I turned to check on my tiny orange roommate. She wasn't on the bed anymore. I don't know why, but for some reason this concerned me.

I got off of the floor and walked out into the living room. I heard a sizzling sound coming from the kitchen. I walked in to find that the little filly was making pancakes. She didn't seem to know I was here, so I quietly left the room, not wanting to startle her. I sat in the living room, looking at some of the books that were there. Their was a whole lot of weird shit, but it was at least something to read. I picked out a red book with golden lettering called History of the virus, and it was written by somepony named A.K. Yearling.

Odd name, but yet again, all of them sounded like they were written by some creepy asshat living in his moms basement. I opened it to the first page and began reading. It started out explaining something about the effects of some virus, and how to avoid being infected.

It said that the first sign you had it was an extreme cough and sneezing, soon the effects would become more violent, progressing to vomiting constantly and extreme nausea. After a few weeks it would finish you off with seizures, followed by total organ failure. Sounded pretty serious. I read on to the part about how to shield yourself from it, and it said that this part was very important because there was no lasting cure. It said that the strain was transmisible via being exposed to ponies who already have it, duh, no big surprise there. It was advised to stay indoors and come in contact with nopony else. What the fuck? That can't be right.

My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of my roommate placing a platter of about three pancakes on the piano a few feet away from me. "Thanks." I said as she walked upstairs herself to eat the two pancakes she made for herself. I waited until she was out of the room to go get my plate, which was still sitting on the piano, waiting for me to eat it without utensils. I walked to the plate and began eating.

My stomach was full, and I could feel my food digesting. The filly had disappeared upstairs to eat, and she hadn't come down since. I looked out the window. The sun was still rising, and it was pretty early still. Suddenly, I began to feel very light headed. I got up from the chair, stumbling and eventually landing on the floor. I was drifting out of consciousness. I could here my heart beat lowering. My eyes closed slowly. The last thing I remember hearing was the muffled noise of my roommate screaming and panicking upstairs.

I woke up, finding myself in the room I began in. That same bright lamp burning my face, the same cold metal under my once again naked and strapped down body. I could tell there were more in the room. I could hear their breathing. I was startled when a head with a white surgical mask popped into my peripheral vision. I could tell she was female, and she had straightly flowing hair, and a white cap atop her head, and she was a light blue.

"Doctor Hide, she's awake." She said.

"Good. Now we can get started." A clear masculine voice replied from nowhere. It wasn't the same one from before.

"Hand me the laser." The head disappeared and I could make it out walking towards my flank. I could see a light pink hoof from an unknown source giving her a small reflective cylinder. I could see the top of her torso up as she flicked a red switch on the side of the cylinder, and it made a faint humming sound.

"Beginning incision on the right flank." She said in a formal tone that made me uncomfortable for some reason.

"Hey! What ar-AAAAAHHHH!" I screamed in agony as I could feel the most powerful and concentrated burning feeling of my life. I couldn't see exactly what she was doing, but I could see a bright red light omitting from somewhere near her hoof. I cringed as I could feel the searing pain work its way up to near my cutie mark. It suddenly stopped, and she put the device down and picked a small metallic sphere. She held it up to where I felt the pain, and I could finally feel the numb wearing off. I moaned as the feeling of a large, burnt gash along my flank hit me out of nowhere.

"Inserting the monitor." She said. I felt her hoof  plunge into the hole on my flank. I cringed in discomfort as she moved her hoof around inside my plot, finally stopping near my pelvic bone. She took her hoof out, the device no longer in it. She must've put it in me.

"What the fuck did you just put inside me?!" I demanded in frustration. There was no answer. The mare at my side now held an odd looking thing in her hand, it was shaped a little like a banana, and it was white. She held it up to the hole, and placed it against me. I felt something sharp spearhead into my skin, but I didn't make a sound, I was to out of energy. I felt it again, and again, and each time the device made a little clicking noise. She stopped after doing it about eight times, placing the device on a table where she put the others.

"It's finished." She said, walking out of my field of view.

"Good. Leave us. I'll put her to sleep." A few seconds later, I heard a hissing sound and two sets of hooves leaving the room. It hissed again, leaving silence in its wake. I could here hoof steps approaching me. I squirmed violently, attempting to break my bonds. I stopped as a grinning face appeared before me. He was the male voice. He was a red pegasus with black hair and blue eyes. He looked me straight in the eyes devilishly, licking his lips and continuing to smile with almost childlike excitement.

"I've been waiting for this. You look delicious." He said in a tone that made me feel very insecure.

"Bite me, assho-" I was cut off as he put his mouth to mine. I could feel his slimy tongue lapping at mine. He forcefully made out with me until he needed to breathe. He reseeded, leaving me to cough up his own saliva. He undid my head strap. This was my chance! I gathered all my strength into my neck muscles as he leaned towards me again, and thrust at him with my head, planting a headbutt powerful enough it made me to dizzy to move. Noticing that my head was now free, I looked over to see that pervert leaning against the wall and bleeding from his nose and grunting in pain.

"You little fucker!" He said in anger, reaching for the red button next to the large metal door near him, and pushed it. Seconds later, two large, equine shaped, metal robots came into the room, looking at him and then at me. I got a sinking feeling in my stomach as one of them came towards me. He picked up a syringe on the way, and I felt a pinch as he stuck it in my chest. I was out in seconds.

I felt a small hoof prodding my cheek. My eyes slowly fluttered open, revealing my location on the bed again. My filly roommate was standing next to the bed, poking my face in a slightly irritating manner. I didn't lash out at her though, I just sat there looking at her for a second. Her young face was comforting form some odd reason. It gave me a strange sense of responsibility.

"Hey. What happened?" I asked idly in a soft voice. She looked at me with an almost concerned expression. I reached my arm out to touch her back, but as soon as she saw my hoof being extended to her, she took a step back. I pulled my hoof back, not wanting to scare her off. This was going to take a while.
