Trouble in Paradise

Things had pretty much returned to normal as Colgate had not had anypony go out after any bad patients in quite some time nor have they went after the Cake family, which Amethyst thought for sure that they would have by now. Colgate was in her office on the computer when Pearly came in and looked over her shoulder. He noticed that Colgate was checking out the history of Fillydelphia. He asked, "Colgate, why are you looking at a page regarding the history of the Fillydelphia region?"

Colgate rolled her eyes and replied, "Remember how I said that we were going to abduct the Cake Family when Carrot Cake and Cup Cake go there to visit their kids? Well, from what I understand they will be going there during the school's spring break, which is two weeks from now."

Pearly asked, "And how do you know this?"

Colgate replied, "I know this because I saw a sign in their window when I was passing by there one day. The sign mentioned that they were going to be going out of town to see their kids during their spring break, so we need to get ready, we need to see if there is anywhere in the area we can take them."

Pearly had an unsure look on his face and a nervous tone in his voice. He liked the stability and calmness that existed in the castle recently but knew this would change things. He asked, "Does Amethyst know about this?"

Colgate replied, "Uh, no she does not." She had a lump in her throat and continued, "This is going to really piss her off but I have to let her know sooner or later." She sighed and finished, "I am thinking I will let her know a lot closer to the time we will depart."

Pearly asked, "Colgate, aren't you afraid of her leaving you over this?"

Colgate replied, "I know she will be upset but she had no problems with helping us wipe out the Apple Family along with Fluttershy, she seemed eager to take out Mulia and was beyond ecstatic when it came to wiping out Donut Joe so I wouldn't think she would leave me over this."

Pearly replied, "Well ok, but don't get too mad if she decides not to go."

Thirteen days pass and the day before the Cakes leave town has arrived. They aren't the only ones preparing for an out of town trip though. Colgate is also preparing things for a trip when Amethyst walks into Colgate's office and sees her packing several syringes of sedatives along with several torture devices into her saddle bags. She asked, "Colgate, why are you packing stuff like you are going to torture somepony?"

Colgate replied, "Well honey, I am packing because we need to be ready to leave tomorrow morning. It is a long ride to Fillydelphia."

Amethyst, who did have a smile on her face went into a furious rage. She shouted, "WHAT? YOU WAIT UNTIL NOW TO TELL US WE'RE LEAVING TO GO ABDUCT SOMEPONY?" She calmed down a bit and asked, "So who are we going after?"

Colgate replied, "Oh, you forgot? Remember how out at the fortress I said our next target was going to be the Cake family? That is who we are going after, the Cakes."

Amethyst's eyes filled with an angry fury. She screamed, "THE CAKES? WELL COUNT ME OUT! I'M NOT GOING WITH YOU! I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS."

Colgate asked, "Well what are you going to do once we get them here?"

Amethyst screamed, "That's it! I have to leave this place for a while." She smacked Colgate and continued, "I'm giving you an ultimatum, it is either ME or your bloodthirsty nature! You can't have both!"

Colgate sneered, "Oh, so what are you going to do? Give up your comfortable life just because you don't like what I do?" She sighed and continued, "You sure the hell didn't have any problems helping me torture ANYPONY except for Twist so what the hell makes this any different?"

Amethyst screamed, "I had no issues with them because they were mostly strangers I didn't know. I only did the Apple Family and Fluttershy because I felt forced. You know I wanted to punish Joe and Mulia and Gustave didn't mean shit to me." She slammed her hoof into the wall and shouted, "You have no idea how much it hurt when you killed Twist and now you want to take out an entire loving and caring family? I want nothing to do with this. I'm going to go visit mom and dad for a month."

Colgate gasped, "A month?"

Amethyst screamed, "Yes, a month. Maybe by then you will have decided which is more important, our marriage or your bloodthirsty desires!"

As Amethyst was storming out of the castle Colgate yelled, "Fine, just go! See if I care!"

Amethyst slammed the door behind her. Pearly could see the anger in Colgate's eyes and heard her breathing hard. This caused him to be concerned about her. He asked, "Colgate, are you ok?"

Colgate replied, "I'll have to be." She calmed down and continued, "Well this should make acquiring the Cakes a whole lot easier, she would have just caused us problems anyway."

Pearly asked, "Is that how you really see it Colgate? Do you truly consider doing all this more important than your marriage?"

Colgate snapped, "Don't question me Pearly, just do as you're told and everything will be fine. Now let's get ready to go punish the Cakes for their crimes."

Pearly asked, "Colgate, there are four of them, there will only be two of us now. How are we going to pull this off especially given that we will be in a huge city?"

Colgate replied, "That is a good point which we will figure out once we get there. I do think we should take a couple of regular soldiers with us as well." Colgate's began to smile as she realized something. She continued, "That's it!"

Pearly asked, "What's it?"

Colgate replied, "We can ask Luna if we can charter a private train to Fillydelphia! If we can then we can abduct the Cakes, get them loaded on the train and either bring them here or take them elsewhere and wipe them out!"

Pearly asked, "Don't we need to go up to Canterlot to ask Luna about this?"

Colgate replied, "Yes, we do. We need to leave as soon as possible so we can talk to her and get that train chartered. After all, I want to get to Fillydelphia as soon as we can." She pointed her wing towards the soldiers' quarters and continued, "Go get two soldiers, there needs to be four of us since we have four targets."

Pearly nodded and went to get a couple soldiers while Colgate continued to pack her saddlebags with everything she figured she would need. She decided that while it would be nice to bring them home to torture, she realized that with Amethyst being mad at her and still being here in town, that it would probably be best if they took them elsewhere. Very soon she decided that the best place to take them would be one of her favorites, which lies relatively close to a train station.
