The spacious throne room of Canterlot's palace was aglow with the moon's light. Luna, regent of the night court, sat on the raised, decorative throne at the end of the long rug. Standing on the floor to her right was a unicorn mare – Luna's personal aide to be more accurate – who looked to be as stoic as the average guard. She had been speaking to a representative from the Zebra Confederation, but that was just ending, and the representative herself was walking out the door. The meeting was of little importance, the standard note sharing and flattery that allies normally do with one another. What was important is that it was the final order of business for the night court this evening. “Anything else on the schedule?” asked Luna, playing it safe and double checking.
“Hmm.” The unicorn held up a clipboard with all the needed information. “Nothing else that requires the attention of a princess.”
“Good.” Luna stood and gave her wings a few flaps to stretch them before leaping off the raised section of flooring. Gliding an right above the floor she listened to the hoofsteps of her aide behind her. With a soft clop she landed at the door. “If anypony is in need of my services, tell them I have retired to my room,” said Luna as she looked back over her shoulder. “I think I'll visit the land of dreams once more.”
“Right then, have a nice nap, Princess Luna.”
Luna huffed. “Tis not a nap. I will be conscious the entire time.”
“If you say so, your majesty.”
Not dignifying that response with a reply, Luna left the throne room and marched through the palace until she reached her room. It was somewhat spartan in design, especially compared to her sister's. In the center was a canopy bed with books on various subjects lying on both sides. Star charts and old paintings of the night sky lined her walls. The only feature that truly stood out was the fact that there were no windows. With the door shut and no candle or torch to provide light the room was like a void. Luna never had an issue navigating through the dark however, as her eyes could still see every important detail. One does not call herself the Princess of the Night without being adapted to the dark.
She stepped over the books and climbed into her bed. I wonder what Sister is dreaming of? I'm sure she won't mind if I drop in. After laying flat on her side, Luna closed her eyes and drifted off. She felt light and floated in the air, or rather she would if this realm had air. The veil that separated one dream from another was a dark, confusing world. There was no up or down, and a thick, eternal purple fog was sure to destroy any attempt at finding one's bearings. If a pony tried to use their eyes to navigate this world, they would likely spend a lifetime walking in circles. But to Luna, it was all so simple.
Small, ethereal balls of light floated within the fog. New ones were constantly popping into existence, while others were snuffed out. From a distance they appeared to be stars. The passing resemblance to the night sky was perhaps a reason why Luna felt comfortable in this world. However, these balls were not just there to look pretty, they were gateways. Every single one of them was a world unto themselves, filled with the mind of a sleeping pony.
Luna tucked her legs under herself and spread her wings, flying through the vast space. By instinct, she felt the ebb and flow of the swirling, passive magic of this world and could guide herself by its tides to where she needed. Luna only had to think of what pony she wished to see and the needed ball of light would call out to her, emitting magical pulses. With grace she flew among the sparkling lights carefully avoiding any contact that could disrupt the dreams of her subjects.
The pulse grew stronger the closer she got. After finally reaching it she touched her horn to the golden ball and was sucked into yet another world.

The only surprising part of her sister's dream was how mundane it was. Surely you have more imagination than this, dear Sister. It was Celestia's bedroom for the most part, though many things were out of place – ponies rarely got all the little details right inside of their dream. Laying on Celestia's bed was the run of the mill evil overlord. It did slightly surprise Luna that this time around it was a pegasus warlord decked out on old style armor rather than the usual unicorn noble. Celestia – who was adorned in a maid's uniform, one far too skimpy to be what the actual castle staff wore – stood on the other side of the bed, looking away from the warlord and Luna. “Y-you'll never get away with this! Somepony will stop your insurrection.”
Seeing her chance for a little fun, Luna froze the illusion in his place. With a wave of her hoof he shattered and dissolved into nothingness. Taking his place upon the bed, she rubbed her throat and answered in a gruff, masculine voice. “What hope have you against us? The pegasi have always been the superior race, and the rest of you are nothing without us. This social experiment of equality ends now as we take our rightful place.” It was a small movement, one most would miss but not Luna. Her sister shivered in anticipation. It would seem I'm still good at sounding like the villain.
“T-Twilight and her friends will stop you. They've faced threats far greater than the likes of you,” Celestia replied.
“You are assuming we couldn't recruit one of her pegasi friends to betray her. Besides, she wouldn't dare raise a hoof or a horn against me while I hold you, just as you won't rebel while I hold that precious younger sister of yours. I must say, her beauty even surpasses your own. Hm, perhaps I should be enjoying her company rather than yours.”
“You fiend, don't you dare touch her.” Celestia raised her hips up and lowered her head. Luna could practically feel the blush that must be covering her sister's face right now. “If you truly demand for one of us to submit to your vile ways, I shall sacrifice myself.” Celestia finally started to turn around. “Do with me as you wish, but do not har-Luna!”
“Good evening to you, dear sister.” Luna coughed and cleared her throat, returning her voice back to normal. “Or is it good morning? I didn't check the exact time before I entered the veil.”
“Dreams? But that means...” Slowly the look of shock wore off of Celestia face, leaving annoyance and resignation of reality in its stead. “Sister, have we not discussed you barging into private dreams before? I know full well that you could tell what kind of dream this was before entering.”
“We have, and I could.”
“Then why, pray tell, are you here?”
“I hath completed all my official duties for the night and hoped for some quality time with you. So far it has been time well spent. The look on your face alone has made playing along with that charade worth it,” said Luna, following up with a giggle.
Celestia's nose wrinkled as she let out a small, perturbed snort. “And you did not have the patience to simply wait until this part of the dream ended?”
“Really? You're going to be annoyed at me? If anything, I should be the one that's annoyed.” Luna huffed. “To believe that I would fall victim to the machinations of such a cliché villain. Do you have no faith in me, sister?”
“Of course I know you wouldn't when I'm thinking clearly. I was still in a dream state of mind at the time.”
“But your dream state does not give you a pass for that,” said Luna as she pointed to Celestia.
Celestia looked down at herself and then back at Luna. “For what?”
Luna waved her hoof around a bit. “That thing you are wearing.”
“Is there something wrong with this outfit? I think it looks good on me.”
“I expect commoners who rarely meet fully dressed servants to fetishize such things, but not a pony who's been around servants for thousands of years. Their dress code shouldn't excite you.”
“Their dress code alone does not excite me. I simply enjoyed a scenario where I was forced into the role of a servant.”
“Which is something I'll never quite understand, but I suppose it only makes sense to those that enjoy it.” Luna shrugged. “However, you could still try to get a touch more creative than becoming a servant.”
“I'll have you know that I have had more creative dreams in the past. However, there is something to be said for the tried and true method of achieving what I wanted.” Celestia sat down and stretched out her wings before relaxing them. “So, will I be getting my dream back or do you wish to speak of our fetishes all night?”
Luna shook her head. “Last time we did that you worried that Nightmare Moon was reclaiming my mind.”
“The exact scenario you discussed was a touch disturbing.”
“And I would return your dream as it was but I believe you could do far better. In fact, why not allow me to rewrite your dream's script. I promise that it would be a far more invigorating experience than the one your mind crafted. You deserve better, dear Sister.”
Celestia groaned. “Very well, I shall allow you to work your magic on my dream, but do hurry. I don't want to wake up unfulfilled.”
“I would never let that happen to my sister. One perfect dream coming up.” The world of Celestia's dream grew blurry, and in a moment Luna was back in the world between dreams. For a perfect partner she needs somepony with nearly unrivaled power. Somepony that could truly take control of her if her guard is let down. I do believe I know of one such pony, who also deserves a great dream to relieve all her stress. With a thought she called out into the endless fog, and once again she was answered by a pulse from another ball of light.

So, she's having this dream again? Luna walked down an empty hall in school for gifted unicorns. I really should see about visiting the real one someday. Perhaps even grab a student of my own. She passed by a door marked Musical Composition, then one marked Natural History, and finally stopped at the door marked Arcane Studies. It's always Arcane Studies in her dreams. Making sure to remain quiet, Luna pushed the door open. The desks and chairs were in perfect alignment, all facing away from the door and to the chalkboard in front of the class; the teacher's desk was to the right of said chalkboard. Twilight sat in front of the desk with a sheepish smile on her face.
“You wished to see me, Princess?” asked Twilight. A fake Celestia stood up from the other side of the desk and walked around to, getting intimately close to Twilight. Her hoof slid along Twilight's wing as she leaned down and licked the side of Twilight's muzzle. “P-Princess Celestia!” Twilight's ears drooped and her eyes turned away from the imposter. “We shouldn't. It wouldn't be right to take your former student as a lover.”
“You worry far too much about what others consider right or wrong.” The fake Celestia's hoof went up to Twilight's cheek, forcing the smaller alicorn to look her in the eyes. “Tell me Twilight, what is it that you want most in this world?”
“I want...” Twilight stretched up and forced her lips against Celestia's. “I want you. I don't care how, but I want you more than anything, Princess.”
That was all I needed to hear. The Celestia of this dream vanished in a flash, leaving behind Twilight.
“P-Princes?!” Twilight spun around looking for Celestia. “Princess?! I-what?” Luna simply smiled and waved at Twilight when she was spotted. “Princess Luna, did you see where your sister went?”
At first Luna tilted her head in confusion but quickly grasped the situation. “Oh, yes, most don't catch on right away. Especially those that were enjoying their dream. Ahem, Princess Twilight Sparkle, awaken.” Luna watched as Twilight's pupils shrank to pinpricks, her face turn far redder than it was a second ago with Celestia, and heard a rather high pitched squeak coming from Twilight. “You are aware now, correct?”
“This... this... this...” Twilight trembled as she continued to be stuck in a verbal loop.
“This what?” asked Luna.
Twilight's wings flared up. “This is not what it looks like! I do not dream about doing dirty, passionate, loving things to my former teacher! That is not the type of pony I am!”
“Hm, then explain that?” Luna pointed to the chalkboard which was covered in highly detailed, anatomically correct depictions of Twilight Sparkle and Celestia engaged in sexual relations. The biggest one of the group being a picture of Celestia on her back while a collared and leashed Twilight was muzzle deep in her vagina. Under it was the caption, Today's Lesson Plan: Proper Pacing.
The board shattered into a million pieces and fell to the floor, giving rise to a chalk dust cloud. “I do not see anything, Princess. Perhaps your slumber in the moon is affecting your vision.”
Luna rolled her eyes. “Enough, Twilight. You are only embarrassing yourself with such displays. There is nothing wrong with having strong feelings for my sister. She is a rather beautiful mare, after all. Besides, you dream of her at least twice a month.”
“Wait a minute...” Twilight pointed to Luna and raised her voice. “You've been spying on my dreams?!”
“Of course I have. Honestly, I am a little disappointed you have never sense that. Though I suppose most aren't in the right state of mind to detect an intruder when they're dreaming. And since I know this question is coming, I monitor the dreams of the ponies with great influence in Equestria to help prevent another situation like what happened at your brother's wedding. Had I kept close watch on Shining Armor's dreams, I would have seen the effect that vile insect was having on him.”
“Fine! You have a good reason to do it to some ponies but... but...” Twilight covered her face with her hoof and let out what could only be described as a half groan, half whine. “You've seen everything!” More whines followed.
Luna walked up to Twilight and patted her head. “You needn’t worry. I've seen far worse and far weirder than what your mind has concocted. Also, I do not make it a habit to tell others about the dreams I've seen. You have not fazed me and no other pony has been told of this.”
“Fine. Guess knowing that my dreams are being watched is just something I'll have to get used to.” Twilight breathed deeply and exhaled. She appeared to be somewhat calming down. “There must be a reason why you'd make your presence known and make me aware I was dreaming, correct?”
“Ah, yes. I have never properly thanked you for freeing my mind from its past insanity. It is time that I repay that debt. I'm going to give you a once in a lifetime type of dream, something your mind could never create on it's own, the experience of what it's really like to have relations with Celestia.”
Twilight blinked a few times before responding. “Are you seriously giving me this when it's your own sister I want to be with?”
Luna chuckled. “Indeed. Do you wish to take the opportunity or not?”
“Well... can you tell me exactly what this will entail?”
“If you insist. You see, dream constructions of other ponies are never accurate. The personality is always way off, and little physical details will be skipped. The brain likes to simply ignore parts of the dream that aren't important. You have no idea how often I've seen stallion rutting faceless mares.”
Twilight shivered. “That sounds disturbing.”
“You'd be surprised what you get used to when you've lived as long as I have. Anyways, I can construct a truly perfect replica of my sister, right down to her scent. Also, I happen to know what she enjoys to do with her romantic partners. Which reminds me, if you truly wish for this replica to be accurate, you will have to be willing to change yourself to fit what she likes.”
“I have a bad feeling about that part.”
“It's not so bad. You'll just have to be willing to be the dominant partner.” Twilight raised an eyebrow. “The truth is that my sister has a submissive streak when it comes to sexual partners. She prefers to fully let go of her normal authority and follow their commands.”
“I-I can't be the one ordering her around!”
“If you wish for this to be an authentic experience, you'll have to.”
Twilight grumbled before responding with, “Fine. I'll just have to remind myself that this isn't the real Celestia.”
“That's the spirit. Next, you'll have to become a stallion.”
Twilight's ear twitched and she opened her mouth but closed It took her a few more attempts before something came out. “...what?”
“My sister is straight. Several thousand years old and not a single, long term female lover.”
“Er, right. That is useful information. However, since this is only a dream, does it really have to be that accurate of a replica? You could make this replica prefer mares instead.”
“Twilight, this may be your only chance to see how my sister truly is when she's intimate with somepony. Do you really wish to cut corners?”
Twilight hung her head. “You win. I can't... I can't pass up the chance. I want it to be perfect.”
“Very well then. I would suggest you steady yourself because this could be a bumpy ride.”

The princess had not been joking about that last part. The world around Twilight shook and parts of the room collapsed. For a moment she feared for her safety, but then quickly reminded herself it was only a dream. It's okay. I just have to trust Princess Luna.
A blinding light overtook the room. As Twilight shielded her eyes and tried to walk forward her gait felt off. Her legs seemed a bit too long, definitely longer than her mind remembers. Her hips movements were more constricted, not nearly as loose as they had been a moment ago. Then suddenly something brushed against her inner thigh.
The light died down and she noticed that she was inside of the royal palace in Canterlot. In fact, she stood right in front of Princess Celestia's door. The words Luna said to her repeated themselves inside of Twilight's mind, my sister is straight.
She felt along her face, and the small, feminine muzzle she had seen in the mirror so often was gone. By no means would it compete with the chiseled chin of Big Macintosh or the guards, but there was no doubt that it was the squared off muzzle of a stallion now. Then the thing that brushed my thigh was... She gulped and looked underneath herself. Twilight found exactly what she expected, and yet still gasped in shock. Hanging there between her back legs – legs that were indeed longer and thicker now – were a pair of testicles. A bit ahead of them was the other defining feature of male anatomy, a sheath with s shaft neatly tucked away. She was not a she, rather he was a stallion.
Okay, so I'm a stallion. I knew this was coming, though it would have been nice to get a little warning. Just stay calm. If I can master teleportation, then I can master having a male body. Twilight breathed in, and counted down: five... four... three... two... one... He released it, and with it a measure of his nervousness. He reached up for the door, it had to be where he was supposed to go considering that Luna placed him here. However, right before his hoof made contact with the wood he felt a presence behind him.
“Ah, so there you are.” Twilight turned around, and sure enough, it was Luna again. “You have turned out better than expected.”
“Hm?” Twilight looked over his body, and it didn't seem like anything special to him, pretty average as far as stallions go.
“You won't be making mares swoon in the streets or anything of such nature, but you are genuinely cute. Combined with how enthusiastic you can get, I'd say quite a few mares would find you adorable.”
The heat was rising, or perhaps it was just the burning of his cheeks. “Celestia is behind that door, right? I mean, the perfect copy of her.”
Luna nodded. “Indeed. Remember the words I have said, this copy will respond best to a stallion with a powerful presence. Do not be timid. Play the role of the powerful prince you currently are.”
Turning back to the door, he reached up once more and pushed it open. There, on the other side of the room was Princess Celestia, wearing a maid uniform of all things. Keeping Luna's advice in mind, the strode up to her and circled around her, lingering for a moment at her ample flanks. They were just as glorious as the real ones. He dared to reach for the sun, and rubbed her cutie mark. While he expected it to be malleable it was instead firm; the type of flank you could bounce a bit off of. Is this really what it feels like? The new found knowledge mixed with all the times he had seen her bend over in his lifetime creating a stirring deep within him, a twitch in his new anatomy. He caught her peering back at him with a bemused expression. If he had to guess, he'd say she was enjoying the attention, but wanted something more.
But I still need to figure out how to get this thing fully out of sheath. Wait, I got it! Twilight sat down with his back legs open, exposing himself fully to the replica. “As your prince, I um... Icommand you to service me,” said Twilight, hoping it didn't sound idiotic when said out loud.
“As you wish, my prince.” The copy wasted no time in going straight for his sheath. Her nose nudged it, sliding up and down against it. Low groans forced themselves out as he stared in awe of what was happening. The groans were quickly replaced with a high pitch moan when she moved higher and slid her tongue against the head of his member. Celestia snorted when she looked up and the two made eye contact. “Do you not think that was going a bit overboard, Sister?”
“It's not as though I watched; in what way did this go overboard?”
“He wouldn't stop! He was like a stallion possessed! His lust only grew with each time one of us reached climax.”
“You didn't like it?”
“I... I didn't say that.” Celestia's eyes turned away. “It was just a bit more intense than I wasexpecting.”
“I am actually impressed. This is only the second time I've seen you have trouble walking after a night with the stallion. I honestly didn't think he had it in him to go this far.”
“By the way, making him look like Twilight was low.”

I just received your letter. You're right, when I'm around you my head gets a little bit crazy sometimes, and I want perfect clarity while we talk about what happened. I will try my hardest to be as open as possible with you.
Now, we both likely have some questions needing answers. The first one being, how should we go about this? Wow, you certainly didn't waste time getting to one of the big one questions. To me, you are a true goddess. Wait, don't get me wrong, it is not because I believe you are some all knowing deity. I am not that naive anymore. I know that you're just a mare, and yet you've accomplished things most could never dream. Even your failures stand head and shoulders over the success of most.
I don't think most ponies can truly fathom what your role in this world is. You carry the hope of an entire nation. You live with knowing that if your hunches and decisions are right you can create a golden age, but if they're wrong you could doom us all. You have had to make horrible choices in the past, the type where no one wins, and those are just the ones that history recorded. Sometimes, I shudder to think of the choices that never became a part of official history. You have had generations of ponies devoting themselves to you, putting their future and the future of their families in your hooves. Carrying the weight you do for just a single lifetime would be enough to break a lesser mare, but you've done it for over a hundred lifetimes.
Despite that, and despite knowing that everyone you meet will die before you, you still smile. It's not a polite smile just to appease us, it's a genuine smile. You can still laugh. You can still cry. You can still bond with and show kindness to mortals who must seem like children compared to you. To still be able to be happy after all these centuries, you have an immense inner strength that outshines anyone I have ever met. This is why I say you are a goddess to me, because no title short of that is good enough for you.
I want to be the pony that makes you happy. I want to be the pony that helps your carry the weight of the world. I want to be the pony that gives you pleasure, and I mean that in every sense of the word.

I must admit, I was not expecting an answer quite like that. It's not often a compliment makes me blush. Regardless of what may come from this next part, know that it does make me happy to know I am held in such high regard by a pony like you, who has also accomplished things very few could.
To answer your question, yes. It's not as grandiose of a response as yours, I know, but that is the truth. In all the centuries I have lived, I have never met a mare whom I had romantic feelings for. There is no hope for a romance between you and I as you currently are. Which brings me to my question.
Are you willing to become a stallion again? It does not need to be a permanent thing, as we're bound to spend a lot of time apart. But, you would have to devote a large chunk of your life to being male. Is that something you can do?

I knew that question was going to come. Do you know, that you're the reason I discovered my sexuality? I was looking out the window of my tower and I saw you standing on your balcony in the rain. You had your wings spread out and it looked like you were really enjoying being out there. I can still remember the way the water clung to your coat, your mane, and feathers. It was beautiful. I could never look at mares the same way again after that.
That was ten years ago. That's how long I've had these feelings for you. Being a part time stallion is not nearly a high enough price for me to turn down something I have wanted for a decade.
There is one small problem. I can be a part-time stallion. Yes, it will likely lead to the occasional awkward moment between my friends and I. Possibly even between my family and I. I can deal with that. What I can't do is be the stallion I was in that dream. After I was told the truth, I was scared to death that I had hurt you, and I felt guilty for treating you like that. The only reason I could do what I did is because I thought you were nothing but an imitation. To be your suitor, would I have to be the dominant partner?

To your question, no. While I do have a fetish for dominance, it is not a true requirement for a relationship. That being said, I do hope you at least warm up to the idea a little.
