Diary of a Corrupt Shadow

After a few letters to Twilight's friends that had gone around the castle and the princesses, she had them all looking at that one black book with the faded letters on it.

"So this is what you brought us to look at? A dusty book?" Rainbow dash asked.

"Not just any book, King Sombra's Diary." Twilight said.

There was a  few gasps before laugher rang out from Rainbow.

"You-you mean that the tyrant of the crystal empire had a-a DIARY!?" She stuttered, trying to stop laughing.

"Rainbow! This isn't funny! Who knows what dark secrets this holds!" Twilight snapped.

"You are right Twilight, but I swear I ordered this to be put in the more heavily guarded part of the castle..." Celestia wondered aloud.

There was another silence before Luna spoke up.

"Well? What is thou- I mean you waiting for? Open it." She said.

"WHAT!?" All the mares said aloud.

"Luna is right as well. We will never know what truly happened if we don't open the diary." Celestia said.

"But... But it could be cursed! We don't know what spells or enchantments are put on it!" Twilight said.

Celestia sighed and lit her horn. A yellow aura engulfed the book. The aura disapeared and Celestia's horn was unlit.

"It has no counter curses, charms, spells or anything of the sort. Except for an old lock that was most likely set on it to prevent anypony from looking in it. But it's so old it was very easy to break. but if you did turn past that one page, most likely you would have been slightly shocked." Celestia assured the lavender alicorn.

Twilight sighed.

"Fine... Lets open it..."

The mares in the room slowly crowded over as twilight lit her horn and slowly opened the dusty pages.

"Dear Diary..." She slowly read aloud.
