Entry One: Hello Diary! I mean journal!

Hello Diary! I'm going to have to call you something other than Diary... That makes me sound like a foal... How about journal?

Ok, journal! My name is Sombra, But most fillies and colts call me... Sombra... well... Anyways... Today was my birthday! I just turned 5 years old! My mom got me you to cheer me up... something about me always being picked on because of the way I look... I really don't mind too much. I know we'll be best friends! Oh I forgot! I also should mention that I live in the crystal empire, a lovely place where everything is built from crystal! Me, my family and my friends are called crystal ponies. That's because if we glitter like crystals! My mom's name is Shadowheart while my dad's name is Shadowstone! My name does mean something too! It means shadow in spaneighish. Most other ponies in my class make fun of me because they say I'm a nerd... I really don't like that too much. Tomorrow I have to go back to school again, and for sure the other ponies are going to make fun of me writing in a book that says diary on the front. But I don't care... I can still talk with Sugar sweets. She's my second best friend, my first being you!

Well, my mom says it's time for bed... I should write down everything I got for my birthday tomorrow!
