"Freak!" A boy says as he throws another punch at a smaller more skinny looking lad on the floor beneath him. The boy throwing more and more punches until he hears a cracking sound from his victim's ribcage. All the while bystanders are just walking bye as though nothing is happening. looking closer into the skinny boy's eyes only one thing is visible, Fear! The skinny boy's eyes closing in pain every time a punch is landed on him until a final one connects with the boy's head smacking it off of the floor.

Waking with a start the co-ruler of the beautiful land of Equestria, Princess Luna sits up violently. her sister and co-ruler Princess Celestia sitting by her on the princess of the night's bed with concern filling her eyes, after a couple of minutes of Luna trying to collect herself Celestia asks

"Sister. What is it?" looking at her sister with sadness present in her entire face Luna replies,

"He, he is plagued by nightmares sister, Nightmares of which I have never seen the strength of before. Nightmares of sadness, fear and worst of all hiding it with a mask of smiles and false happiness." Nodding slowly Celestia opens her mouth to respond but is cut off by Luna speaking again,

"Sister, He was being assaulted..." Celestia's mouth drops in shock "...in the middle of the street and... and..." Luna starts welling up with tears

"What? What else? Should I be worried about him? I feel bad for invading his memories too, but it is for the safety of--" Celestia asks frantically before Luna cuts her off again

"No! You shouldn't be worried about him... He... He... was being assaulted in the street and nopony helped him. they just stood and watched as he was attacked for being different..." the tears start to flow freely down Luna's face "... I have never seen such cruelty since--"

"Lulu calm down." Celestia says with a firm but gentle tone to her sister "He's gone now... we don't need to fear him anymore!"

"I know sister but I still worry that Bl-" luna starts before again getting cut off

"Don't ever say HIS name around me again Luna!" Celestia shouts before composing herself. Noticing the look of shock on her younger sister's face apologises and leaves saying she should return to her duties and wishes Luna a good rest.

Author's Note

Just a little mini-chapter to have a form of apology for last chapter's rushed introductions as well as some good old foreshadowing. I will be introducing another character later on and I want to see if anyone can guess what the connection to the princesses the new character will have.
