"Where the fuck am I?" I groan as I prop myself up on my elbows. My vision is blurry but I manage to make out my resting place, a white hospital bed, and what looks like a blood bag but with some sort of transparent liquid that is being pumped into my body. The place looks like a hospital room. "What on earth happened?" I say to myself and think back to the afternoon...
I was standing in a club surrounded by people drinking and dancing the night away. I, however, was there for business, me and George were transporting a top secret and very delicate product from the factory to our testing centre. George was a cool guy. Always alert and ready to spring into action when necessary.
"Took you long enough!" I shouted over the music as he approached.
"Had to shit!" He shouted back.
"Fair enough," I replied, "but if we don't hurry up, we'll be late."
George looked towards the bar and sighed, "alright. But we should be careful, I saw some dodgy guys looking over at you."
I asked him to point towards them and he pointed right behind me. As he did so, I felt a tap on the shoulder and turned to see two muscly men pointing their silenced handguns at me.
"Hello fellas," I spoke calmly as I put my hands behind my back.
The one who wasn't busy pointing a gun at my head said in a deep tone, "Hand over the case or we'll take it from you by force."
I felt the flash bang drop to the floor with an almost inaudible 'clink'. I smiled and pushed the small grenade over to the two men. As I did so my vision became tinted and I felt the ear implant automatically expand the soundproofing foam. I pushed the detonation button on my BattleNet interface.
The two men doubled over from the bullets that pierced the bottom of their stomachs, letting all the acid pour out and into their body. Once that happened we shot them in the heads with our 99% silenced pistols and ran to the car while someone in the club saw the bodies and screamed.
"Who were they?" I questioned while starting the engine.
"I have no idea," George replied as we drove down the empty streets of Las Vegas.
We were soon joined by two more cars with a gunner each, I looked at George, who was preparing the car for a space jump the charge bar read 95%, 96%, 97%, 98%, 99%.
I heard the tire hiss and lost control of the car as the bar reached 100%. I screamed "Oh, Shiiiiit!"
There was a flash of white, and then I blacked out. But not before feeling a sharp pain in my back.
"I think it's awake," a soft whisper came from behind the partially open door.
"Okay, let's see if it can talk and understand us," whispers another voice.
"For your information I'm a male, so stop talking about me as if I'm an object!" I shout, obviously startling the two beings.
"Well those are answers to two questions," says the second voice and I see to female looking beings step through the door. One is purple coloured with a horn and the other would look like a human if it weren't for the white coloured fur. The purple being has matching hair with a magenta streak going down the left side of her head and it fell a little past her shoulders. Her companions hair is a light shade of pink and in a tight bun at the back of her head, she was also wearing what looked like nurse uniform. As I inspect the two creatures standing before me, I almost gasp as I see tails coming out just above their rumps, which I must say do look quite nice.
"Hi, I'm Jakub." I state, and then say,"and what are your names?"
The purple creature answers a moment later, "My name is Twilight Sparkle ,but you can just call me twilight, and this," she points to her companion, "is Nurse Redheart."
I think for a minute and say, "Okay, now that we have become acquainted, I have one question," I take a pause, "What the fuck happened?"
Everything is silent for a moment, until Twilight says, "I'll answer any question you might have. If you open the case that you were clutching tightly to your chest when we found you."
I chew on her words for a few seconds before I cautiously say, "Alright. But, what you see in this room, stays in this room . Until further notice."
Redheart and Twilight look at me uneasily, before agreeing, "Fine."
"Okay." Twilight hands me the case that I had before. I take it from her and open it, while they both stare at me dumbfounded.
"How did you do that, our best lock-breakers have been trying to get that thing open for hours without even making a dent in it," Twilight exclaims, while I chuckle at her expression.
"The case is made out of a very special material that we have dubbed 'Material X'. It is nearly indestructible and the locks only react to my and my friends fingerprints." That is when it hits me, I've completely forgotten about George.
Seeing my worried expression, Nurse Redheart hands me a few x-rays, one for each part of his body (they're all broken). I look up from the x-rays and nearly shout, "I need to see him!"
"He's in a coma and we can't get him out," Redheart says with a note of sadness in her voice, "I'm sorry."
"Where is he?" I question.
Twilight answers that question by removing the privacy curtain and I see George, Just, lying there. I quickly grab a syringe from the case and jump out of bed. I rush over to him before either of the other two conscious beings in the room could react and inject the contents of the syringe into George's blood. I move away just in time to not be caught by George's sharp spasm. Nurse Redheart rushes over but I stop her from doing anything. Meanwhile, Georges spasms stop and his eyes blink open. He looks over at me, then at Twilight and Redheart.
"Jakub, are we in heaven or hell?" With that he falls asleep. At this point I decide to let go of Redheart, looks at me with bewilderment and fury in her eyes.
"What?" I ask.
