Sonic Boom: When Worlds Collide

Twilight ran into the Castle of the Two Sisters’ Library with her friends closely following and began going through all the books trying to find a reason as to why the Tree of Harmony has vanished. “I just don’t get it!” Twilight said after looking up from her hundredth book, “How could the Tree of Harmony just DISAPPEAR?”

“I don’t know Twi, but Im betting that might have sometime to do with it,” an orange earth pony said as she looked out the window.

“Applejack, what are you talking abOUUUT!!!” Twilight screamed as she saw a large building out in the distance.

“Where did that come from?” a Cyan Pegasus asked flying up to the window.

“I don’t know Rainbow Darling…. But it cant be good…” Rarity said.

“Maybe we should go see what it is?” Rainbow Dash asked to which Twilight replied,

“No, we should go to Princess Celestia and see what she thinks!” Twilight said.

“But Twilight!!! We might not have enough time!!! There could be something evil there and we need to take it down!” a hyper pink pony said to the princess.

“Pinkie Pie has a point” said the last pony, a yellow Pegasus, “Maybe… we could split up?”

“Hmmm, you both have a point. Alright, well split up,” Twilight said to the group, “Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie, you go see what that building over there is and see if it’s dangerous. Rarity, Fluttershy, and I will go see the princess.” Everypony nodded their heads and went on their missions.

Twilight Sparkle and her friends teleported to the Kingdom of Canterlot and ran to Princess Celestia’s throne room as fast as their hoofs could. “Princess Celestia!!! Its urgent!!!” She shouted as they burst into the room.

“Yes Princess Twilight?” Princess Celestia said as she turned around from her book.

“Princess… The Tree of Harmony… IS GONE!!!” Twilight said as Celestia gasped and ran to the window.

“Impossible… Wait… whats that in the distance?” Celestia asked squinting her eyes spotting the building in the distance.

“We have no idea Princess… we saw it while looking in the library of the old castle for answers to the tree’s disappearance… Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie have already gone that way to check it out.” Rarity told her.

“Then we must quickly join them before anything bad can happen!” the Princess commanded and called for her sister. As the group ran to the door, they heard a massive noise in the distance and stopped on a dime.

“What was that Sister?” Princess Luna asked as Celestia walked to the window and gasped. A massive explosion had erupted from the building for a couple of seconds then died out.

“What was that about?” Twilight asked to which Futtershy replied, “I don’t know… but I hope it wasn’t serious…”

EARLIER

“COME ON GUYS, HURRY UP!!!” Rainbow Dash said as she flew through the trees of the Everfree forest towards the strange building that had appeared.

“Well maybe if ya Slowed down there Rainbow, or not fly, we’d be able to keep up with ya!” Applejack said as she and Pinkie Pie ran after her.

“But if I don’t fly, we might lose sight of that building!” Rainbow Dash retorted.

“Ugh, fine… but at least slow down a bit?” Applejack asked. “She cant” Pinkie Pie said, “cause were there!” Applejack looked up and saw the building in front of them. It was like nothing she had ever seen before. The technology on it was far more advanced than anything shes seen in Equestria, with a massive symbol that looked like a face on the back of the building. “Wow… this place sure is fancy…” Applejack said as Rainbow Dash landed next to them.

“Think we should go inside and check it out?” Pinkie Pie asked as she noticed the door in front of them.

“Of course! We need to report back to Twilight what this thing is and if its dangerous or not” Rainbow said as she opened the door and ran inside, with the other two mares sighing and ran after her.

“Wow, this place is MASSIVE” Pinkie Pie said as they walked down a long white hallway.

“And kinda scary looking…” Applejack said. They had walked past hundreds of locked doors, with only a few unlocked. Most of them were labs with massive strange metal beings standing on two legs with strange weapons on them. They came to the end of the hallway to see a giant lab with strange buttons and levers all over, with tubes hanging from the ceiling.

“I wonder what this is all for…” Rainbow said as she flew up to one of the consoles. Applejack walked over to a strange circle in the middle of the room and looked up to see a glass tube hovering over it.

“What in tarnation is this for?” Pinkie Pie walked over to it and stared at it.

“Perhaps its some kind of teleporter?” she asked as a figure watched from above.

“Yes… just get under the circle, and then I can begin the experiment hehe” it whispered to itself as it slowly reached for a lever.

“Hey, whats that up there?” Applejack asked as she looked up at some small holes in the ceiling.

“Hmm?” Rainbow Dash asked and flew over and up to see the holes.

“Hehe, perfect.” The figure pulled the lever as the glass tube suddenly slid down sealing them in. The girls screamed in terror as a strange creature stepped out from the shadow’s. “Hehehehe, so nice of you all to visit,” the creature said as it adjusted its glasses.

“What… or who ARE you?” Rainbow Dash asked as it walked over to another console and began flipping some levers.

“Well, if you must know, my name is Dr. Eggman, though I don’t expect that to mean much to you.” Eggman soon pressed a button that caused the holes on the top of ceiling to begin letting out a strange gas causing the girls to start freaking out and began trying to break the glass. “Hehe, nice try, but the glass is to strong for you to break. The gas you are now inhaling is meant to alter your very DNA. Make you the strongest warriors my foes will have ever seen, and soon, I SHALL TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!” Eggman said with glee as he watched his prisoners struggle to get out, only to scream in pain as the gas begun to do its work. Suddenly the glass began to crack as a huge fist punched at it.

“WHAT IN THE WORLD?!?!” Eggman shouted as another hand punched the same spot, shattering the glass, freeing his victims” WHAT ARE YO-“ he shouted as the glass flew at the console causing it to spark. “NO!!! YOUR RUINING EVERYTHING!!!”he shouted as he tore at his mustache. He failed to notice the girls running past him and out the building as the entire room exploded.

“GET DOWN!!!” Applejack shouted as the entire area shock everything in for miles around.

“*cough* Is everyone *cough* ok?” Rainbow Dash asked as they got up.

“Ya *cough* could be better…” Applejack said as she picked up her hat,

“Hey guys… I… feel funny.” Pinkie Pie coughed as she waved the smoke and dust away only to scream.

“AHHH!!! WHATS HAPPENED TO US???” All three girls screamed in horror as they stared at their new bodies. The girls now stood on two legs with two arms and hands. Their muzzles had shrunk down with a small black nose.

“What… do we do now?” Rainbow Dash asked as they looked at the now smoking building. “Not like we can go back to Twilight like… Like THIS!”

“And whats wrong with looking like that?” said a mysterious voice from behind them.
